How many cards in your wallet or purse?

Im not asking how many cards you have, just how many you actually keep on you? My wallet is getting full due to my recent spree, and it made me wonder what I actually need to keep on me? I have five cards and my debit card in mine. I realized I would be in trouble if it was lost or stolen with the limits lol. I just might keep three How many are in yours ?

I only keep 4 credit cards + my Sam's MC, since it doubles as a membership card. Usually, I have my AmEx EDP, AmEx Platinum, CSP, and the 4th being whatever I am rotating in. I couldn't imagine the nightmare of calling to cancel/obtain replacements if I ever lost my wallet with too many cards in it. I don't ever carry my debit cards because I don't like having a direct link to my funds being exposed to skimmers and dishonest store clerks. Additionally, the idea of losing a debit card is too frightening for me.  Banks are a lot less apt to recover anyone else's money but their own.

I only wish that when I called Apple, they would match the serial number with the owner and give me the contact
Hopefully you left Apple your contact info (name phone #, email address).
Apple would simply pass your contact to the last registered owner. It would be up to the owner to contact you. As Dave mentioned, Apple will not give you any info (except may to tell you it was or was not registered, but not to who). Turn it on once in a while and maybe they have activated FindMyiPad and a message will pop up (don't need to be logged onto the iPad to a message).

You might find that you get more time out of it if you change the power options to energy saving. You will get more time out of your battery if you replace it with a higher capacity version.

  • Poll:  How many users on your apps and what hardware are you using?

I am curious about the collective experience and performance of others APEX applications and how much "horsepower" your hardware has.
I have a need to support 20-30 users and am using a Windows XP machine with 1.99 Gig of RAM and a 2.8 GHz Pentium 4 CPU.
    Any thoughts on this?

For my personal use, I'm renting a Celeron 2.4ghz with 1Gig RAM running CentOS, Oracle XE and Apex 3.2 at a data center 1200 miles away. Seems to work fine. I find the biggest issue is network bandwidth. I originally had a 10Mb link to the datacenter's backbone, now have a 100Mbit. The difference was night and day.
For work (speaking only of our Apex servers), we've got:
One Dell 2way P4 with 4G RAM and 10,000 RPM drives.
It runs 2 10G instances and several Apex apps and it also runs Enterprise Manager Grid Control for 40+ databases. No issues.
    Multiple prod/dev/test servers.
All are VIRTUAL running on VMWare ESX3.5. Each database VM has 2 gig of RAM and 2 "CPUs" running 11g/Apex3.2 on Oracle Linux. They all work fine.
I find that a poorly written app can crush just about any hardware you can throw at it. Luckily we don't have any of those ;).
I suspect that your hardware would be fine, particularly if running Linux. I cannot speak to Oracle/Apex on XP. I suspect you might be disappointed, mostly because it is tuned for interactive use rather than background applications (services). Not trying to be a Windows vs Linux troll here, just saying that if you are running a workstation with Oracle/Apex and you on it and expect to support 20-30 other people, you are all likely to be disappointed. Apex/Oracle should be on dedicated server hardware with a server OS.
You also aren't giving us much info on your hardware; 7200RPM IDE/SATA drives aren't going to be as fast as 15KRPM SCSI or SAS, etc.
It wouldn't surprise me if your well written application was able to support 20-30 users with the hardware you are describing (though I won't vouch for the OS).
Google for "apex.oracle.com" and "poweredge 1950" that will take you to this link:

The whole thing apparently serves up 6 million page hits a week with a 1.5Gig SGA. That's a lot of work on a pretty small box.

  • How many cards should I apply for ?

So, recently, I applied for 2 new cards ( both with capital one) and got approved for both ( credit score is 621). Currently, I have 5 inquries on my credit report, hence, I'm wondering should I apply for one additiona card? Alternatively, should I simply build my scores higher in order to get a better card in the future? Thanks!

Sure! Experian is 621, and 602, 600 ( Trans/Eq).  Currently, I have a Wells Fargo Secured Card ( $300 Limit), which is almost 3 years old (long time for secured I know).  The two new capital one cards both have $1,000 limits.  I still have 3-4 baddies ( small amount med collections) that I will get removed within in the next 2-3 months via PFD.  Additionally, I have a judgement ($1,800), which is 6 years old reporting on both Trans/EQ. Thanks for the detailed info.  Don't apply for any more cards until the 3-4 baddies come off your report in the next 2-3 months.  Once those come off, you will see a rise in score which will make you be able to get some really good cards. For now, work on the baddies.  Congrats on the 2 CAP 1 approvals...

  • How many batteries does your Bluetooth Mouse eat in a month ? ? ?

It's been less then a month since i purchased my iMac ( late 2009 edition ) with a blue mouse and keyboard.
Scrapped the blue keyboard because it has no side bar number keys and also the qwerty keys are spaced too close for my fat fingers.
The blue mouse has already eaten a pair of batteries and today the battery level was down to 47%.
Obviously Apple have shares in some battery factory some where in China.
I use Duracell batteries which seem ok for the rabbit on TV commercials.
My computer goes to bed at midnight and rarely gets going until noon the next day.
I am now thinking of ditching this blue mouse because i really see no advantage except the video show in SystemPreferences/mouse is fun to watch.
Also the mouse is extremely eradict sometimes jumping up the page for no just cause.
How long do your batteries last. ?

And this is what's troubling about posts in these discussions. One guy has returned 4 i7 Macs and still can't get one to work. Several others have returned two or three. Mine works well with no issues. Another guy has great battery life on him magic mouse. Others, start threads like this and have horrible results with wireless components. I went wired because I was tired of replacing batteries every two weeks. While it's the individual components that cause issues discussed here, the real discussion should be the inconsistency of production and quality control of Apple's products.

  • How many cards?!

So I am going through my rebuild process. I recieved the NFCU secured card, approved for the Capital One secured card and approved for the Discover secured card. Should I open all three? Should I use them regularly and keep the balance at 10% when the statement is cut? Thanks!

The way I understand it you will get immediate score boost for your first 3 cards with the biggest boost coming from the 1st card and smaller boosts from the next 2. Any more new accounts over 3 you may see a small drop in score due to the inquirey and the new account bring down your average account age when they are first opened but in the long run the more accounts you have with good payment history and longer account age then all of those accounts will help bring your score up.  So, IMO, if you are looking to get your score as high as possible in the short term then 3 is probably a good number but if you are only worried about the long term then having more than 3 would be better even though you may loose some points for them now. I am not a credit expert by any means but that is the way I understand it.

  • How can you find out how many views/downloads your podcast has?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!! Thank you

What is your RSS feed for your podcast?
If not sure - what is the URL for the iTunes page for your podcast?
For the most part the stats reporting for your podcast are greatly determined by where you host your media files.
That is where a 3rd party host like Libsyn.com comes in - they provide you with your stats for downloads.
There is NO stat reporting from iTunes for your podcast.

  • How Many WLANs on Your Controllers/APs?

Even though the controller will allow 16 WLAN's, have you seen traffic issues if there are more than "X" number of WLANs enabled on any AP?

I have seen issues when there are alot of ssid's being beaconed. The best practice is to keep it under 4 ssid's if possible. I have had clients configure up to around 7 and had no issues, but some who had 5-6 had issues, but was due to certain devices like handhelds, etc. Here is a link you can look over... I don't see any reason you would have to have that many in the first place.

  • How many credit cards needed to build credit?

I currently have a 586 Fico score and here's what is helping me build:
Capital One Classic Platinum $300 CL enrolled in the STEPS program.
Capital One Quicksilver Mastercard $500 CL enrolled in the STEPS program
    Fingerhut credit account $300 CL
    Victorias Secret $250 CL
Is this enough to build with or should I apply for another credit card?
BTW I also have a car loan, was late 7 months ago, but I haven't been late since the beginning of 2015. I also have student loans that are current and never late.

Would I build credit faster if I had more, or can I achieve the same thing with two?  3-4 cards will be enough to build credit on.  is all about ultilization at the end and not how many cards you have.

  • HT5622 How many family members, computers, iPods,iPad,IDs can you have on one iTunes account?

I'm just trying to sort out some iTunes I'd issues.  Does anyone know how many total iPad iPods can be used with one Apple ID?  Or how many apple  IDs your can have with one iTunes account? Or does each person need there own Apple ID or Apple account? Thanks

You can't have multiple IDs on one account, but you can use multiple IDs for different purposes on the same device.
Just use the one AppleID for iTunes and the AppStore so you can all share your music and app purchases. Then each person should have their own individual AppleID with associated iCloud account for mail, contacts, calendars, iMessage and FaceTime.
You don't have to use the same AppleID for all services.

  • How many hard drives can i stream from one mac for apple tv

Hi a newbie to all this ive got a 500gb external hd and running out of space but am looking to buy a 1tb but i want to set it up as im using both hard drives so i get 1.5tb as this is a cheaper option for me is this possible and how
    many thanks for your time

You need to turn off the option to copy content to the iTunes folder in iTunes preferences, then when you add new content to iTunes you will need to place the content on one of the HDDs and then drag and drop it onto iTunes from a finder window.
Or you can alternatively leave the "Copy" option on and simply press the Alt-key when dragging and dropping content to momentarily suspend the "Copy" of the dragged content to the library. (I.e., iTunes will gladly manage both copied and non-copied content as long as you do not move or delete the non-copied files at the Finder level after adding them to the iTunes database.)
