Before I upgrade from LR3 to LR4, I need to know how many computers I am allowed to put this on (I have desktop and laptop).

If I purchase Adobe Standard, how many computers can I install it onto? And is there any way of buy an additional subscription? i.e. if it can only be installed onto two, is it possible to purchase a third installation?

The company I work for are looking to purchase Adobe Standard, how many computers can this be installed onto? We need it on three computers so if it is only possible to install it onto two is it possible to install it onto a third computer without having to buy the software twice?

Hi There,
We would like to inform you that you can just activate 2 machines with one subscription, however, you can just use one at a time.
If you wish to use the 3 machine, then, you would have to purchase another subscription with a different email address.
You would need another email address, because the activation is done via email address and more than two activation on 1 email is not possible.

For a definitive answer, read the EULA that comes with the software.
If it works like the standard edition, she can run it on two computers, just not simultaneously.

In fact, you can't install iWorks, there is no such a product. Maybe you asked about iWork

one machine — one copy
We are not allowed to install one copy on two machines.
To do that, the correct soluce is the Family pack.

I've wondered about the EULA - any idea why the license is for one user? It would seem to me that a software manufacturer can control the usage of legal copies on one computer at a time through the activation process, but there is no way they can control WHO is using the computer. If Adobe is worrying about more than one professional designer making money with only one license - that seems pretty far-fetched to me, since the activation process doesn't let them use the product at the same time.
Aside from the licensing issue, if the OP's Mom is not familiar with Photoshop and doesn't want to spend all her free time learning how to use it, Photoshop Elements might be a good holiday present for her instead of expecting her to help finance the professionally priced Photoshop
(Though if the OP is a student, Photoshop should be affordable enough at the education price.)

I teach at a university. Our department is discussing ordering several iPads (maybe iPod Touches, also) for faculty to share. Faculty would be creating materials for the classroom and using the iPad in place of written/printed notes and/or for presentations. The question I raised is how many computers can sync to one iPad? My assumption is that individual faculty would create such materials on their office or personal computers, then load those materials onto an iPad.

All iOS devices (iPhone, iPad, Touch) are designed to sync with a single iTunes library, i.e. a single computer.
You can sync multiple iOS devices to the same iTunes library (same account) or multiple iOS devices to the same computer with different iTunes accounts and libraries.
In your case, if each individual creates their own material, they can sync it from their iTunes account (library) on their computer.
Also, there are many apps out there that allow you to move files from the cloud to the device, i.e. Box.net, Airstash, Dropbox, etc. Perhaps you could set that up and have individuals create material, sync it to the cloud and then allow others to access it via the iPad.
I suggest you contact other faculty at other universities that may have done this, perhaps via some faculty forums.
