The NI-DAQ driver does not specify or restrict how many PCI cards can be placed on the PCI bus. Keep in mind the PCI bus limitations and how much bandwidth your application may use if many devices are connected and functioning at the same time.
I would strongly suggest PXI for this application.

Can't install an iTunes gift card, can't redeem giftcard balance

Having MAJOR problems here, I hope someone can help! We have an iTunes account set up already with a gift card balance still in there (it USED to work), but ever since Christmas when we go to download something, and the box comes up that says "are you sure you want to buy and download?" and I click "buy", then this thing pops up "iTunes store terms & conditions have changed....please read & agree to....." so I check the box that says I have read and agree to iTunes terms & conditions...click continue....then this thing pops up, "Your request could not be completed...make sure your computers date is set correctly and that it accepts cookies from the iTunes music store, for detailed solutions to resolve this issue click More Info"....I click on More Info, it takes me to THIS page http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=93440
So I have made sure my date and time are correct numerous times over, this page is really of no help to me as i have Windows Vista not XP or 2000, plus my problem is not even listed on this page they want me to visit for "more info". I have an apple account. I have a 32 bit system. I have iTunes 7.6 downloaded. The cookies thing....not sure about, but nowhere on the page does it say how to help this.....like I said before though, we used to not have any problem whatsover with iTunes, redeemed many a gift card, now we can't redeem a gift card at all, we get this SAME message every time. And now we can't even use the remaining balance on the gift card that's even in our iTunes account we get this same message.

There is only one way, and that is for the agency's IT or OIS depending on the acronym they use, to do the download and install or provide you with an approved link to do so. I know of no US Federal agency that allows an employee to download and install any software on a government owned computer. Doing so is a security violation. Plus, no employee has the necessary privileges to install software.
Some agencies are not permitting use of personal devices, that is, smart phones and tablets, but those are required to use the Division system to isolate all government content from personal content.
The Apple Store for Government may have a way to purchase, but installation requires the permission of your agency.

G4 quicksilver dual 1ghz: how many video cards can i install?

i've kept this great old machine on the shelf, now i've found a use for it! i've been programming video installations for theatre using isadora (on more modern machines) and would love to utilize my old G4. currently installed is the stock card with a VGA and an ADC output, and i've run 2 monitors off it in the past. i'd like to run my ADC powered 17" studio display (control screen) plus at least 2,3 or more video projectors, so i'd like to install an additional video card(s). ideally VGA or DVI, but s-video or even component could work- it doesn't need to be high definition. can this machine handle it, and if so, recommendations for a good card, or multiple cards? i have several open slots, how many is feasable to stack in there?

Remember that video cards use the most power of any PCI cards. There is usually a finite limit to how much power the computer's PCI bus can provide.
I don't know the limimts on the QS, but the old Beige G3s has a limit of 45W total across three slots--I doubt it's a lot more on yours. The assumption back then was that most PCI vidcards then drew 25W. Unlike newer cards that have power "taps" top allow direct connection to the power supply, older PCI vidcards seldom had this convenience. I have a radeon 9200 and it does not.
The 9200 had a lot of VRAM but did not support Apple's Quartz Extreme video technology. Although great for 3D stuff, its 2D performance in OSX was dismal, with scrolling and dragging being choppy. You do not want that card as you primary video source on a computer with AGP graphics. There was a hack to get around the QE issue but it seldom worked without issue if you had more that one PCI card of any kind.

How many DSA Cards can be simultaneously Self Calibrated?

I have two PXI-1045 chassises connected to a single computer via a dual port MXI Express card.
Each of the two chassises have 12 PXI-4462 4 channel DSA cards.
I am using the "DAQmx Self Calibrate.vi", which takes about 156 seconds.
It appears that if place 24 of these DAQmx Self Calibrate VIs on my block diagram,
then it appears that 4 will finish after 156 seconds, then another 4 will finish after
another 156 seconds, and so on, until all are finished after a total of 936 seconds.
I have found that 1, 2, 3, or 4 can be simultaneously self calibrated, but more than that requires additional time for each group of 4.
So my question is, is it possible to sell calibrate more than 4 at once?
My computer is a quad core, but I don't think this is the limiting factor.
Could it rather be some other resource, such as Triggers on the PXI bus, that are the limiting factor?

The problem you are running into is likely caused by the fact that LabVIEW allocates a default of 4 threads per priority per execution system. DAQmx VIs by default run at the same priority and execution system as their caller (despite the existence of a "DAQ" execution system), so they are probably running at normal/standard:
While a .dll is being called by LabVIEW the thread is reserved. So, 4 parallel calls to DAQmx Self Calibrate.vi (which call into nilvaiu.dll inside the subVI) will reserve all 4 threads that LabVIEW has allocated to the normal/standard priority and execution system.
To raise the number of threads that LabVIEW allocates, add the line "ESys.Normal=24" or whatever number you'd like to LabVIEW.ini. You might also have to run threadconfig.vi (instructions found here). The end result should look like this when you run threadconfig.vi (you'll have to restart LabVIEW after editing the .ini file):
You could technically just use threadconfig.vi to set the number of threads without manually editing the .ini file, but this only lets you allocate up to 8 threads per execution system per priority. The number shown in < > is two higher than the actual number of threads allocated due to how the enum was defined in the vi.

My question is: How can my daughter load some apps of her own? If I buy her iTunes gift cards, can she redeem them on her iPad with out using my Pin number (as that would give her access to my credit card)! I prefer to gifted her purchases, not allow her to purchase with access to my credit card. Can this be done?

well if the ipad is on your itunes account then her apps and music etc will be billed to you. but if you give her gift cards you should take off your credit card because itunes won't tell you when you are all through with your gifted money and are back to useing your credit card until after you have made a purchase

You can only view your account's purchase history, you can't view a history of card redemptions.
My account's balance shows at the top left of the store's page on my computer's iTunes, and by logging in to view my account via the Store > View Account menu option. On my iOS devices it shows at the bottom of, for example, the Featured tab in the App Store app under my account id (or you can view your account via Settings > iTunes & App Stores and it should show on the screen that you are taken to).
To view your purchase history : log into your account on your computer's iTunes via the Store > View Account menu option, you should then see a Purchase History section with a 'see all' link to the right of it. Click on that and you should then see a list of your purchases.
You've tried logging out and back into your account to see if your balance then shows ? For some reason this worked for me. I went into my account and changed my first name, maybe it causes itunes to reset. What ever it does my itunes works now.

I had emailed customer service asking how many egift cards could be used for one online order, and I was told you could use 5 per online order, and 10 in store. But then I saw this link in the customer service catagory, and it says you can use 10 gift cards per online order.

How Many Travel Cards?

Was just approved on Saturday for Cap One Venture and have had a CSP since Feb. 2012. Love the CSP and even without the travel benefits the daily rewards more than cover the AF so it's just not something I worry too much about. I'm planning on not applying for anything in the next 6 months at least. Scores are high 600s currently but I have a few things happening in the next few months that should give my scores a pretty nice bump and I'll only have the inquiries (triple pull) from the Venture that I just got. My question to you all here is (and I've already gotten some SUPER helpful information so THANK YOU), how many travel cards is too many? To those that have several, do you find yourselves sticking to one card? We do travel at least a couple of times a year which is why I've gotten two travel cards but there are a couple more that I have my eye on, and even with higher AFs I think the benefits could outweigh the cost but I'd like to hear from people who actually have several of these cards, as opposed to straight cash back rewards cards. Thanks in advance for your input!

While on the other hand, I have a CSP which is 2% on travel and resturants and other benefits when I shop via the rewards mall and a 20% bonus rewards when I redeem for travel and I can transfer points to airlines and other travel programs. Currently $380 in rewards balance sitting I also have a AMEX Delta card that gave me 40,000 rewards points. once again the card will be PC'd, in that I really don't want to fly delta but hey if you going to throw money at me, I will take your card. 45k pts sitting on the card My last card is a Hilton Honors Surpass, they through points at me, which I have used and thanks to work I ended up traveling a great deal for work, and ended up being Hilton Honors Diamond memeber so I am keeping this card, I enjoy getting 12pts/$ on Hilton stays. My wife liks staying in hotelsfrom time to time, so I will keep this card. 125,000 pts. So all these cards have a reason to sit in my wallet currently will they stay in my wallet in the curent form, mostly no, they will be murced to other cards or PC'd.But they gave me the ability to have another 5 days in california on points for just signing up for these cards and paying the AF, $300 in AF for 5 days in a trip to California is a great deal including flight for 2 people, rental car, 5 days in embasy suites.

The firewire bus is designed to be able to provide power for use by an attached device, in addition to providing a data pathway. There is a limit as to how much power can be provided by that bus. Such power is used by the device to operate its mechanics - in the case of a firewire hard drive, to run the motor that spins the platter(s) in the drive.
Many, if not most, firewire devices can also be powered by using a separate power supply, often an external transformer although some may have that transformer built in. This necessitates a separate connection to line power, typically to an outlet on a power strip or surge suppressor strip.
When I ordered each of my firewire drives, I also ordered the optional power supply for it. This makes each drive non-dependent on the Mac for operating power.
How should I prevent over heating my G4?
As far as keeping a Mac from overheating, the primary defense is to keep it clean inside. Dust is both an insulator and a restrictor of airflow. Using canned air regularly to blow dust out of the inside of the Mac, and to clean its fans, goes a long way to keeping it from overheating. Using a vacuum cleaner is not recommended - it's too easy for the nozzle to bang into something, and the airflow going into a plastic nozzle can create static electricity, which you do not want around any printed circuit board.
Keep the machine itself adequately ventilated - it needs a reasonably unrestricted supply of fresh air. If you place the tower on the floor or under a desk, make sure there are several inches of free space between the case and any obstructions. Usually, keeping it on a desktop reduces the amout of dust it will ingest.
In addition, whenever possible use external power for a device - this applies to firewire and USB devices.
Hard drives generate a fair amount of heat. G4 desktop models are designed to accommodate up to four internal hard drives, though it is possible to install more than that. If you go beyond four internal drives in a G4, consider replacing the fans with ones with a larger capacity to handle the increased heat load.
If you replace the CPU, be sure you follow the instructions with the new one re making sure the heat sink on the new processor is installed correctly.
