How many hours of high quality music fits on a 16 gigabyte iPod

How many hours of high quality music fits on a 16 gigabyte iPod?

A "16Gb" iPod nano has enough room to store about 14.5Gb of music, assuming this to be the only media stored there.  If by "high quality" you mean lossless, using Apple Lossless/ALAC format, that equates to around 30 hours of music (there will be some variations depending on the nature of the music and the degree to which ALAC compresses the audio data).  AIFF files are larger, though of the same quality as ALAC - maximum in this case is approx. 20 hours.
For "iTunes Plus" quality (256kbps lossy compression) files will be between one-third and one-quarter the size of the same music in ALAC, so the total time goes up to around 90-120 hours.  My 16Gb 7th gen nano is currently full to capacity using a mix of 256kbps AAC and 320kbps MP3 files - iTunes reports the total time as 4.9 days (117 hours).

to enhance your battery life, keep screen display to minimum, set screen lock automatically after 1 min, select internet notifications to off.

  • How many hours can i download

How many hours of music time can I download onto my 2nd generation iPod shuffle please?

Depends on the audio file type and "bitrate" (compression) of the song files.  Songs encoded at lower quality take up less space per song, compared to the same song encoded at a higher quality.  And songs encoded with no loss in sound quality ("lossless") take up MUCH more space.
You can load just under 2GB of song files on the current 4th gen shuffle.  My older 1GB shuffle, loaded to almost 100% with a typical mix of MP3 and AAC files, currently has about 8 hours of music.  So, a 2GB shuffle would be double.  But again, it depends on your situation.  I'm just giving you my situation.

  • How many hours does a brand new battery last after fully charged. I have a late 2008 Macbook Pro.

How many hours does a brand new battery last after fully charged. I have a late 2008 Macbook Pro.

clintonfrombirmingham is right, there is no way to exactly tell. But from personal experience, a new battery on a 2008 will last for about 2 1/2 hours with a higher screen brightness and doing something taxing to the battery (like gaming or running lots of 3D programs). But if you're just listening to music with the brightness all the way down, and no programs running, you could get up to 12 hours. So for average use, it should last you a whole business day (assuming you don't use it more than 30% 0f the time). Hope this kind of gives you more of an idea of what to expect:)

  • Do we have any manual to see how many hours we can use Iphone

I reached out to Apple store last saturday regarding many issues with my phone. The only answer i got from the "Apple Genius" was How many hours you will use mobile daily, i answered 120-150mins a day including calls, browsing, &whatsapp. However after that, the direct answer was your usage is too high and you should reduce using your mobile. He just restored my mobile and asked me to leave. Again from last night i am experiencing the same issues in my phone.

There's not an actual manual but if you go to http://www.apple.com/iphone/compare/ you will see that Apple advertises the iPhone 5s as getting "Up to 10 hours" talk time on 3G, "Up to 8 hours on 3G, up to 10 hours on LTE, up to 10 hours on Wi-Fi" for internet use, "Up to 10 hours" for video playback, and "Up to 40 hours" for audio playback. Of course over time will
If what you are saying is accurate that you are only using the iPhone for 2-2.5 hours a day, that doesn't seem to fall in line with "heavy use." I use my iPhone almost constantly throughout the day for email, browsing, phone calls, texting, games, etc. With my previous iPhone 5 I had problems with constantly having to reboot it and I went to the Apple Store, the genius ran a diagnostic app on it and said there would be no problem replacing it just based on app crashes. So really the big question will be is your iPhone still covered under a full warranty and are you able to reproduce any of the problems at a genius bar appointment?

  • Higher quality Music on iPod Touch

I downloaded all my songs under 256 and most have converted to the higher quality 256. How do i convert the songs on my iPod Touch to the higher Quality. i do not use Match on iPod because I don't want to be tethered to wifi in order to listen to random music..Thanks!

I'm in the same boat.  It does not make sense to have iMatch when you can't listen to songs without being in proximity to wifi.  Playlists work just fine but they don't work with iMatch.  It seems like a very poor solution to turn off iMatch to keep songs on a device.  Have you figured out a way to deal with this?  I'm currently trying to get a refund from Apple for this deceptive product.  They do a very poor job of explaining exactly what you are getting.  Selling a lot of hype but not a viable solution unless you're permanently in proximity to wifi.  How, for example, is someone supposed to listen to music on an airplane?

  • How many hours of recording?

Since the video is HD how many hours or time in general can these new ipods record video?

The iPhone 4 HD video runs about 83.4 MB/min. or about 5Gb/hour. Assuming the compression is the same for the Touch, the 32Gb would get a nice 3 hours of video if you had it half full of media (music, movies, apps...).
I ordered the 64Gb, as my 32Gb now is mostly full...

  • Does anyone know the battery life (how many hours)of new ipod nano 7th gen while using bluetooth?

Hoping to find out the battery life of the new nano (7th generation) while using bluetooth.  Has anyone found out how many hours the new one gets with BT?
I have the 6th generation nano, and while using bluetooth it only makes about 3 hours before being fully drained.

About 9 hours continuous runtime with BT + music playback in this review at least - http://www.ilounge.com/index.php/reviews/entry/apple-ipod-nano-seventh-generatio n/P5

  • How many hours needed to charge the new iPad when connected to the wall outlet.

How many hours needed to charge the new iPad wifi 16 gb?
Yesterday it was my first time to charge and it takes around 8 hours (it was not on wifi& not on working any application)
when connected to the wall power outlet using the supplied charger, dock and the USB wire.
I,ll be waiting for urs reply.

The quickest way (and really the only way) to charge your iPad is with the included 10W USB Power Adapter. iPad will also charge, although more slowly, when attached to a computer with a high-power USB port (many recent Mac computers) or with an iPhone Power Adapter (5W). When attached to a computer via a standard USB port (most PCs or older Mac computers) iPad will charge very slowly (but iPad indicates not charging). Make sure your computer is on while charging iPad via USB. If iPad is connected to a computer that’s turned off or is in sleep or standby mode, the iPad battery will continue to drain.
Apple recommends that once a month you let the iPad fully discharge & then recharge to 100%.
At this link http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/galaxy-tab-android-tablet,3014-11.html , tests show that the iPad 2 battery (25 watt-hours) will charge to 90% in 3 hours 1 minute. It will charge to 100% in 4 hours 2 minutes. The new iPad has a larger capacity battery (42 watt-hours), so using the 10W charger will obviously take longer. If you are using your iPad while charging, it will take even longer. It's best to turn your new iPad OFF and charge over night. • How many hours/weeks of capacity

I know there are variables such as AAC vs MP3 and whatnot but a range (even a big one) is fine. For a 20 GB or a 60 GB how many hours/weeks of music can I get on there? Let's suppose it is all classical music from CDs.

    Jay,
Here are some rough number of hours estimate for a 20GB iPod. Multiply by three for a 60GB.
    128kbps: 333 hours
    160kbps: 255
    192kbps: 215
    256kbps: 160
    320kbps: 130
    Apple Lossless: 60
    WAV / AIFF: 30

  • How many hours of video does it hold?

does anyone know how many hours of video the ipod can hold?
    thanks

I once asked a salesperson how much video an 80GB hard drive holds and he answered "80GB worth" -- meaning it depends on how much you compress the video.
I'm using Handbrake (on the Mac) to compress DVDs to MP4 to playback on the iPod and with the settings I am using (decent quality at smallest file size) a 2hr movie takes up around 600MB of space.
    Hope this helps.

  • Is there a way to know how many hours of work did a project demanded ?

Is there a way to know how many hours of work did a project demanded (even if it was on multiple days, sessions or cross-working other projects)?
I am using Adobe Premiere Pro CS6 on windows 7.
    Thaks,
    Mihai

There is no feature for that in Premiere Pro.  I suggest that you keep a project log either in a spreadsheet, database, Notepad or Wordpad file, or a hand written one.
You can file a feature request here:
