I seem to only be able to crank out about a good 2 consistent hours. Why did apple hide this spec from us?

How many screen-on time are you getting while playing games on the iPad Mini Retina? I'm planning to buy one and use it mainly for games. I currently own a Samsung Tab S 8.4 which can only last 4 hours screen-on time while playing Clash of Clans.

Unfortunately no one can give you an exact length of time. The stated battery life on an iPad is in the 10 hour area. But there are so many variables that it's impossible to give you any sort of exact length.
I would GUESS, if you spent the whole day gaming on a fresh charge, you may get 5-6 hours but that is a total blind guess. some games demand more power than others so there is no set way to know.

Im not sure what everybody else is getting but I just got about 7 hours and 20 minutes of usage time from a full charge all the way down to 0. My use included about 1.5-2 hours talk, and the rest games internet and messaging

The quickest way (and really the only way) to charge your iPad is with the included 10W USB Power Adapter. iPad will also charge, although more slowly, when attached to a computer with a high-power USB port (many recent Mac computers) or with an iPhone Power Adapter (5W). When attached to a computer via a standard USB port (most PCs or older Mac computers) iPad will charge very slowly (but iPad indicates not charging). Make sure your computer is on while charging iPad via USB. If iPad is connected to a computer that’s turned off or is in sleep or standby mode, the iPad battery will continue to drain.
Apple recommends that once a month you let the iPad fully discharge & then recharge to 100%.

I reached out to Apple store last saturday regarding many issues with my phone. The only answer i got from the "Apple Genius" was How many hours you will use mobile daily, i answered 120-150mins a day including calls, browsing, &whatsapp. However after that, the direct answer was your usage is too high and you should reduce using your mobile. He just restored my mobile and asked me to leave. Again from last night i am experiencing the same issues in my phone.

If what you are saying is accurate that you are only using the iPhone for 2-2.5 hours a day, that doesn't seem to fall in line with "heavy use." I use my iPhone almost constantly throughout the day for email, browsing, phone calls, texting, games, etc. With my previous iPhone 5 I had problems with constantly having to reboot it and I went to the Apple Store, the genius ran a diagnostic app on it and said there would be no problem replacing it just based on app crashes. So really the big question will be is your iPhone still covered under a full warranty and are you able to reproduce any of the problems at a genius bar appointment?

How many hours of HD video can I record on a Mini iPad w 16GB???? Not to be a downer, but I want to document my grandfather who is not doing so well, and I think the iPad mini cam is probably the best HD cam I can get my hands on, but I only have 16GB....HOWEVER, all songs and pics are wiped out...nothing else on it...

If you regularly dump and shoot you should be okay. One way to test, set it up right now and record the tv for an hour (or something equally benign)
then you'll have an idea of how much room it takes and how much it drains your battery (note the battery percentage before you start)
you can then use that to budget your resources accordingly.

No idea what you'd find interesting. Any book on BSD Unix would list a plethora of useful commands. There are also some books on UNIX specifically for Mac OS X. You can also find a number of sites by searching the web for something like "mac unix commands".

A "16Gb" iPod nano has enough room to store about 14.5Gb of music, assuming this to be the only media stored there. If by "high quality" you mean lossless, using Apple Lossless/ALAC format, that equates to around 30 hours of music (there will be some variations depending on the nature of the music and the degree to which ALAC compresses the audio data). AIFF files are larger, though of the same quality as ALAC - maximum in this case is approx. 20 hours.
For "iTunes Plus" quality (256kbps lossy compression) files will be between one-third and one-quarter the size of the same music in ALAC, so the total time goes up to around 90-120 hours. My 16Gb 7th gen nano is currently full to capacity using a mix of 256kbps AAC and 320kbps MP3 files - iTunes reports the total time as 4.9 days (117 hours).

It depends on the uses you give to your computer, because the battery will have capacity for less time if you are using professional apps than using Safari. Theoretically, the MacBook Pro with Retina display battery should have capacity for 7 hours, but as I said, this will decrease depending on the apps

You don't need to charge it unless you want to or it needs it. You can and should charge as often and as long as possible... deep discharges are hard on lithium batteries. Normal mobile use will result in the one charge cycle/month that Apple recommends.

There is no feature for that in Premiere Pro. I suggest that you keep a project log either in a spreadsheet, database, Notepad or Wordpad file, or a hand written one.

clintonfrombirmingham is right, there is no way to exactly tell. But from personal experience, a new battery on a 2008 will last for about 2 1/2 hours with a higher screen brightness and doing something taxing to the battery (like gaming or running lots of 3D programs). But if you're just listening to music with the brightness all the way down, and no programs running, you could get up to 12 hours. So for average use, it should last you a whole business day (assuming you don't use it more than 30% 0f the time). Hope this kind of gives you more of an idea of what to expect:)
