How many JVMs that are currently used?

Hi,
I want to know some infos of performance and adoption of JVMs apart from Sun's.It is said IBM JVM(I've forgot the corresponding version) on some platform is faster than that of Sun's.Is that true?If so,how to get it?
I've tried to find one from IBM's website.But there are too many links to determine which one I should follow.

www.embedded.oti.com, and yes it is faster.I totatly disagree. I tested the IBM JDK with my application, a tomcat webserver based application and it not only ran slower, but actually crashed from time to time on the IBM JDK. Runs rock solid on the Sun one though. I think that it depends on the application mostly.

attributes stored in one session are not accesible from the other one, so they can not be overwritten

Unlinking two iPhones that are currently using the same Apple ID

My parents accidentally used the same Apple ID for both of their iPhones. How can I unlink their accounts and create two different, unique Apple IDs for each of their iPhones? And without losing what is currently saved to the iCloud (some of the info saved is for business). I appreciate any help. When I create a new ID for one device it messes up the other one. Thanks!

Apple IDs are used in several different ways on an iPhone. You can have different Apple IDs for different functions. For example, if you use the same iCloud ID for both phones they will both be trackable by logging in to icloud using that ID, and they will both be protected by Activation Lock with the same ID. They will also both get the same email and back up to the same iCloud account. Or these can be different. Your choice.
The iTunes & App stores can have the same or a different Apple ID. If they have the same then you don't have to pay for apps twice; once an app is purchased it can be used by all devices on that account (there are licensing restrictions that limit sharing to a single family all at the same address).
Facetime and iMessage can have yet a third Apple ID. This is really a good idea, as it keeps everyone's messages private.

A way to find out how many screens/windows are open

hi everyone,
is there a way to find out how many sap screens are currently open? i need to know this because my program should react differently if the user has all 6 screens opened or if he has only one screen open.

I keep getting an error message that says the safari browser version you are currently using does not support the community toolbar. how do I fix it?

Everytime I open my imac I get an error message that says: "We're sorry but the Safari browser version your are currently using does not support the community toolbar." I can't see where it affects anything else, but getting an error message on an imac, just doesn't seem right, ya know? How can I get rid of the message.

Apparently an add-on named Community Toolbar was installed at one time, and is causing the problem. To get rid of it, quit Safari, then throw away these files -
Macintosh HD/Library/Application Support/Conduit

Macintosh HD/Library/Receipts/ctloader.pkg
Macintosh HD/Library/Receipts/<Toolbar name>.pkg

Note - if you are using Lion, the Library folder in your home folder (user name folder) is hidden. To get into it, in Finder open the Go menu; with that menu open, press and hold the Option key. An item "Library" will be added to the list, and can then be selected. That will open the Library folder in your home folder.

How can I tell which clips are currently used in a sequence

In the Project window there is a list of clips I have loaded, but often I lose track of which clips are currently used in the sequence. In Premiere Elements there was a green check next to clips you have used in the timeline, but I don't see any indication of which clips are currently used in the sequence/timeline I am editing.
Is there some way to sort the loaded clips so that the ones in use all appear first followed by those clips not currently being used in the timeline/sequence. Is there some indication I am missing showing me whether or not a clip I have loaded is currently being used or not?

This isn't really a sorting mechanism, but you can see how many times a clip is used, where it's used, and then navigate to it using the following non-descript button:
You need to have a clip selected in the Project Panel to see this information, of course. Once you click the disclosure triangle, you'll see the list of sequences and the times where the clip is used; if you select one of those references, the sequence will come to the front in the Timeline panel, and the CTI will park at its in point.
Again, not a sorting means, but it might be helpful in some instances.

As far as I can tell, I would say that only one client JVM can be active at anypoint of time, however since Java is a multi-threads program, you will end up with more active threads in your system while the applications will be running, somehow similar to a Windows application, such as Word when you have more than one opened document at once.
To have a better evaluation of the system requirements and usage, such as the memory, handles, threads, active processes etc, I would strongly suggest you do to a search for TaskInfo 2003. I've been evaluating that program for the last few days and I'm amazed by the different pieces of information that program can provide.
By the way, I'm not affilited to the TaskInfo developper in any way shape or form, I just mentioned it based on my current evaluation.

I am unable to connect to the internet, there is a pop-up that says "We're sorry, but the Safari browse version you are currently using dos no support the community toolbar". My computer does say that it is connected to the internet until I open Safari.

I am unable to connect to the interent. At the top of the screen my computer says that I am connected. When I open up Safari there is a pop up that say "Community Toolbar We're sorry, but the Safari browser version you are currently using does not support the community toolbar" and when the Safari page opens up it says "You are not connected to the Internet. Safari can't open the page .... because your computer isn't connected to the Internet." I have tried Network Diagnostics and tried to reset Sfari, empty Cache as well as deleted all of my interent history. I am unable to use Time Machine because I never set it up. If someone knows how to help I would very much appreciate it!!

What I need to know is "how" I can separate or rather create another Apple ID for my son-who is currently using "my Apple ID?" If there is a way to let him keep "all" his info on his phone (eg-contacts, music, app's, etc.) without doing a "reset?') Somehow I need to go into his phone's setting-create a new Apple ID and possibly a new password so he can still use our combined iCloud & Itunes account?
Also then letting me take back my Apple ID & password, but again allowing us (my son and I) to use the same iCloud & Itunes account? Does that make more sense??? I'm sincerely trying to get this cleared up once and for all----just need guidance from someone who has a true understanding of the whole Apple iCloud/Itunes system!

Can you make them stop, or at least explain how it is that anyone can do this without our permission.

The "MySearchDial" app needs to be removed in 4 places.
1) Go to "add / remove programs" in your windows control panel select mysearchdial and remove it.
2) Open your Firefox browser then click the Firefox tab at the top left and select options. You will need to change the start page settings back to your preferred start page.
3) Again under the Firefox tab select "add-ons". In the add-ons manager you will need to remove mysearchdial from both "plugins" and "extensions"
4) In your search bar (top right of address bar" use the drop down menu and select "manage search engines". You can restore your preferred search engine and remove mysearchdial from the menu.
This should remove all the components of the nuisance hijacker and restore your browser back to your preferred settings. If you are comfortable with a more in depth removal I would also suggest going to your "programs" folder within the "C" drive of your machine and deleting the "MySearchDial" folder altogether. However, only do this AFTER you have uninstalled it from your system and if you are familiar with this type of removal.

Syncing to a new iTunes library or computer will erase your iPod. Only if you back up your iPod manually before syncing, you can restore your device from that backup again. A manual backup does not include the sync process.
Do this:
Disable autosync in iTunes, connect your iPod to your new computer and right click on it in the device list and choose backup. iTunes will backup your ipod without syncing.
Transfer your purchases the same way, choosing "transfer purchases" this time.
When you connect your device for the first time, all media content will be erased. But you can restore your settings and app data from your manual backup afterwards.
Don't forget to set up at least one contact and event on your new computer to be able to merge calendars and contacts when you sync the iPod for the first time.
Music is one way only, from the computer to your device, unless you bought the songs in itunes and transferred your purchases.

Hi there. Is there a way to detect which applications that are currently running on my machine? Is there a class that can get all of the running applications, you know, like the taskmanager.

What you are asking for is indeed not possible through "100% Pure Java," because each operating system that runs Java Virtual Machines can handle the running processes differently (think about the differences between a process scheduler for, say, Windows NT and your Palm Pilot, both of which could have a JVM running).
That means there are essentially 2 avenues to persue for this:
1. Use an external "user-level" command (like ps on a UNIX-like OS) and parse the results (this is what people are referring to when they say "Runtime.exec()". There have been some nice exec() frameworks posted around here before, so I'd recommend searching around a bit for more info.
I also found this link (from Google) which apparently shows the javadocs where someone has attempted something similarly on the Linux platform before...that's all I know about it:

If the iPad was running iOS 7, the thief/finder will not ever be able to use it.

You need to reconfigure your phone for use with your Apple ID. I suggest you restore yours as new then reconfigure it with your information and Apple ID. Be sure to disable Find My Phone, if it's enabled, before proceeding.

You will need to restore your device as New to remove a Restrictions passcode. Go through the normal process to restore your device, but when you see the options to restore as New or from a backup, be sure to choose New.
You can restore from a backup if you have one from BEFORE you set the restrictions passcode.
