Hi All,
I have two servers with 2 Cores and 2 CPUs. We are planning to install weblogic in both of the these servers (Unix box). And will be using virualisation of servers to access the application. So in the client side virtually one server will be seen. In this case how many licences of Weblogic Enterprice edition I need to buy ?
Another scenario
If want to use weblogic for some time in 4 CPU with Single Core. And then want to shifts to 2CPU dual Cores server. How many licences of Weblogic Enterprice edition should I buy ?

You have one license.
You can download and install it on an infinite number of computers, as long as it is only installed on two of your computers at any one time, and in use on only one computer at any given time.
So in your case, current iMac, that's would mean its installed on one computer, no problem. Future iMac and future MacBook ... so if you uninstall from current iMac and install on Future iMac and future MacBook, it's now installed on two computers at a time, no problem, as long as you're not using Lightroom on both simultaneously. And if after that, you got two new computers and uninstalled Lightroom from the previous two, you're still good, it's only installed on two computers at any one time.

I recently upgraded through Adobe to LR5. How many license do I get?

So unlike buying a brand new program you get two, you have to purchase two upgrades? Is the that correct?
Probably makes better sense to join the creative cloud?

we have created an own add-on that is available for all the partners. Partners who want to use this addon have to download license from SAP BUSINESS ONE CUSTOMER PORTAL.
Is there a way to check which partners and how many licenses have been downloaded?

I moved my question to the forum you suggested because it's the correct one.
What I mean with partner is a company who sells Sap Business One to its customers.
My company is a parter sap and has created an own add-on. Every partner can buy and use this add-on, but need to download a license. the partner can download my add-on license from the same website (marketplace) where he download B1 license.
I need to check which partners have downloaded our license and how many.

My scenario is pretty simple. I own a desktop PC and a Laptop, both running Windows XP and Windows 7 in a dual-boot environment. Let's say I want to have Adobe Photoshop on both machines, all four boots, how many licenses do I have to purchase?

Hi, you can install Photoshop CS5 on as many computers as you want, but it can only be activated on up to two instances at a time.
So if you had a single license, you would have to choose which boots you'd want Photoshop running on, and then move the activation between them, if that worked for you.
With two licenses, you could activate and run it on all four boot instances at once, no problem... You wouldn't have to continually switch or change the activations between systems.
This is an improvement in flexibility on how it used to be - until recently, Adobe had a limit on how many cumulative reactivations you could perform with your software license.
If you are going to buy more than one license, you might want to take a look at Adobe Volume Licensing, which gives a price discount plus the ability to run a single copy of the software with a single serial number on all machines and platforms (Windows and/or Mac) that you own, and expand if you need to.

How many Licenses of Acrobat Professional do I need for Adobe LC PDF Generator

At our customer site we have purchased 6 licenses of Adobe LiveCycle PDF Generator and have recieved a license file with the keys for Adobe LiveCycle PDF Generator and Adobe Acrobat Professional. We bought the license from a reseller of the product. We understand that the Adobe LiveCycle PDF Generator is a server based software and needs 1 license per CPU. Each of our server (Dev, Val & Prod) have 2 CPU's so we have sufficient licenses (6). We are under the impression that this would suffice. How ever we are not sure on how many licenses we need for Acrobat Professional.
Here is a brief description of the way we would use Adobe LiveCycle PDF Generator. We are deploying a PLM system and one of the requirement is to render Word documents to PDF so we are using PDF Generator for this capability. On our Adobe servers we will install Microsoft Word, Acrobat Professional V9 Extended and the Adobe Livecycle PDF Generator. We will have around 150 users for the PLM system being deployed. The PLM system is a Web based system which means the PLM application server will be running on a Solaris server in our case. As part of the workflows in the PLM system, at the end of the workflow process, the PLM server would trigger a request to the Adobe server to convert the word document to PDF. The Adobe server processess the request and returns the PDF file that gets generated.
Based on the above usage of the system how many licenses of Acrobat Professional do we need? We will be installing Acrobat only on the server where we install the Livecycle PDF Generator. We had a call with our purchasing person today and she cautioned us that for Adobe Acrobat Professional we might need 1 license per user of the PLM system. She has asked us to check this with the Vendor of the product. Somehow I don't think it makes sense to purchase so many Acrobat Professional licenses even though we install only once.
So can someone tell me How does the licensing for Adobe Livecycle PDF Generator work? How many Acrobat Professional licenses we actually need? Is it based on the number of users in the system that is triggering the request? Appreciate your response on this.

You really should talk to your Adobe Sales Rep about this. There are all kinds of special deals, licenses and such for customers using LiveCycle. (For instance the license for PDFG may include Acrobat licenses for certain uses).

I would like to implement a cluster of 2x Cisco IronPort ESA appliances in an Active/Active manner.
It requires 4000 mail users, so how many license on each ESA appliance do I need to install? I suppose 2000 on each ESA.
When one of the ESA fails, is it possible for the remaining one to handle the load of 4000 users?

Dear Tuan,
For 4000 user size, you can purchase a dual appliance bundle with 1, 3 or 5 year license with 4000 mailbox licenses. You will be given 2 x C370 with Centralized Management license (together with licenses of your bundled feature set).
You can run both in active/active configuration. With centralized management license, both can be formed as a cluster and you can manage the cluster configuration over web interface of one of the appliances.
Regarding whether one unit can handle the load, it will depend on your traffic load (peak message per hour, average message size, antispam, antivirus, outbreak filter, DLP, encryption, content filters, etc.). In my experience, one C370 should be able to handle traffic of similar size enterprise.
With SenderBase reputation filtering, you should already throttle/block 90+% of bad traffic coming from poor/bad reputation IP hosts. You can also make sure of the new AsyncOS 7.6 'rate limit for envelope sender' to throttle mass mailing attack of same sender (also internal outbreak emails).

We can configure IronPort to be almost transparent on top of your existing mail gateway/server to prove its performance, antispam efficacy and other email security features.

I need just one more, but Adobe would require me to get a whole separate subscription for a total of 4 licenses and double the price. We would like to inform you that to work simultaneously on 3 machine, you would need to purchase 3 seats.
As as per EULA, you can install and activate 1 license on 2 machines, however, cannot both the machines at the same time.

How many licenses?

How many licenses or installs are included with FCE? I'm thinking about getting it for Christmas but if it's limited to just one system I may want to wait until after I get my MBP in Jan or Feb to get it. I thought I saw something that said it can be installed on one desktop and one laptop but nothing has been very clear so I wanted to see if I could find some clarity on that. Thanks!

In the Apple documentation they allow you to have it on those two computers simultaneously but you are only supposed to use one at a time - not have them both open.
