How many of my own computers can I download my Adobe E11 CD on to .

Hi , I am a complete newcomer to photography and photoshop , and I have just recently bought Adobe Photoshop Elements 11 .
I have two old laptops and an old desk top , and so I was wondering which computer to insert my Adobe cd into . It'll probably be the desk top , then I wondered if I can download the cd on to my other laptops , but I've read it's only 2 home computers that I can use them on .
So , I have 2 questions....
1] How many home computers for my own use can I download Adobe E11 on to ?
2] What happens if one or both of those computers break down , can I then download Adobe on to another computer ?
Thank you in advance for the answer .

your one license entitles you to two concurrent installations/activations.
if a computer breaks down before you have time to deactivate, you must contact adobe support (http://www.adobe.com/support/chat/ivrchat.html ) to reset your activation count which will allow another installation/activation.

    Hi dhamburg,
For information on installing Adobe products on multiple computers, see the document Activation, Deactivation. *(http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/policy-pricing/activation-deactivation-products.html)
    Copying from this document:
Running the software on too many computers
If the software is activated on multiple computers:
Deactivate the software on the computer on which you last used the software. Ensure that you're connected to the Internet.
Purchase another license from the Adobe Store if you require the software on all your computers.

  • How many of my registered computers can I install Lion on?

Can't find the info on the site....
Already bought and installed Lion on my iMac....can I also install it on my macbook without having to pay for it again?
what about my mac mini? (Although it is only a 1.5 Core Solo processor...may not work, right?)
When I go to download it on another computer, will it recognize my account and not charge me again to download it?
    Thanks!
    Jim

You can install Lion on all the computers that you personally own. Each computer should start off with Snow Leopard installed. Open the App Store. Hold down the OPTION key and click on the Purchases icon in the App Store toolbar. You should see an active Install button to the right of the original Lion purchase entry.
You can also save the installer and make a bootable USB flash drive that can be used to install Lion without having to re-download the installer:
    Make Your Own Lion Installer
    1. After downloading Lion you must first save the Install Mac OS X Lion application. After Lion downloads DO NOT click on the Install button. Go to your Applications folder and make a copy of the Lion installer. Move the copy into your Downloads folder. Now you can click on the Install button. You must do this because the installer deletes itself automatically when it finishes installing Lion.
    2. Get a USB flash drive that is at least 8 GBs. Prep this flash drive as follows:
Open Disk Utility in your Utilities folder.
After DU loads select your hard drive (this is the entry with the mfgr.'s ID and size) from the left side list. Note the SMART status of the drive in DU's status area.  If it does not say "Verified" then the drive is failing or has failed and will need replacing.  SMART info will not be reported  on external drives. Otherwise, click on the Partition tab in the DU main window.
Under the Volume Scheme heading set the number of partitions from the drop down menu to one. Set the format type to Mac OS Extended (Journaled.) Click on the Options button, set the partition scheme to GUID then click on the OK button. Click on the Partition button and wait until the process has completed.
Select the volume you just created (this is the sub-entry under the drive entry) from the left side list. Click on the Erase tab in the DU main window.
Set the format type to Mac OS Extended (Journaled.) Click on the Options button, check the button for Zero Data and click on OK to return to the Erase window.
Click on the Erase button. The format process can take up to several hours depending upon the drive size.
    3. Locate the saved Lion installer in your Downloads folder. CTRL- or RIGHT-click on the installer and select Show Package Contents from the contextual menu. Double-click on the Contents folder to open it. Double-click on the SharedSupport folder. In this folder you will see a disc image named InstallESD.dmg.
    4. Plug in your freshly prepared USB flash drive. You are going to clone the InstallESD.dmg disc image to the flash drive as follows:
    Open Disk Utility.
Select the USB flash drive from the left side list.
Click on the Restore tab in the DU main window.
Check the box labeled Erase destination.
Select the USB flash drive volume from the left side list and drag it to the Destination entry field.
Drag the InstallESD.dmg disc image file into the Source entry field.
Double-check you got it right, then click on the Restore button.
When the clone is completed you have a fully bootable Lion installer that  you can use without having to re-download Lion.

  • How many times can I download from Adobe Creative Cloud, and on how many computers

I just purchased a one month plan from Adobe Creative Cloud and already downloaded several programs.  Unrelated to Adobe, I reinstalled the operating system on my computer today.  I just downloaded the programs again.  Is there a limit on how many times I can download Adobe software?   I also am planning on purchasing another computer down the road.  How many computers can I download Adobe software from my current Adobe Creative Cloud membership.
    Thanks-

You can download and install it as many times as you like but you must activate it in order to use it.
You can only activate the software on a maximum of two computers at any one time.
You can deactivate on a computer via Help > Deactivate and re-activate via the same step.

    Hi,
    How many   RE1000, range expander's can i use ?
Our home is constructed of a Basement, first floor and second floor.
Each floor  Area is120 Square foot = 385 Square meter
*Each floor is 115 foot in length a, 37 foot in width. And 10 foot in height.
Is it enough to buy the following product to cover the building?
    One Cisco Linksys  ER4200
    Two Cisco Linksys  RE1000 (Wireless-N RangeExtender/Bridge).
    Looking forward for your support.

Can anyone help me to setup the RE1000 as the BRIDGE using  built-in Ethernet port?
I have the WiFi setup (DLink WiFi Router) in my Ground floor.
In the second floor I have setup RE1000 and can extend the WiFi signal from DLink WiFi Router in the ground floor.
If I connect my desktop computer through the  built-in Ethernet port (With Wire) of RE1000 (second floor), I could connect only the Extender (RE1000), But I could not connect the computers available in the ground floor(connected in DLink WiFi Router) from the second floor.
    How to setup Ethernet Bridge?
I also find the specification like this at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e45VyoqOI5k
"Includes a built-in Fast Ethernet (10/100 Mbps) port, which works as a wireless bridge to instantly connect any wired Ethernet device to your network."
    Kindly help me.
To set it as bridged, you can just setup the wireless settings on it (the same w/ your router) and connect it to a device that you want to connect it with.

  • How Many of Us Own Word?

I was wondering how many of us own Word? What are the main reasons you use Pages over Word, which you own?
I am a teacher and just started making more of my documents in Pages. The reason I tend to use it over Word is...
    1. I seem to be able to create and modify styles a lot easier in Pages
    2. Lists seem to work the way I want them to and not the way Word's auto-format feature wants to make them...actually, that leads me to an overall comment...
    3. I don't feel like I have to fight with Pages as much as I do with Word...it doesn't get in my way
However, I do miss some aspects of Word...
    1. I like Word's pasting options -- paste only as text or match document formatting...that's nice
    2. Word's contextual menus offer fast access to options rather than poking through Pages' Inspector window for everything
    3. Word's autocorrect feature where it pulls words from the dictionary to recognize and replace misspelled words
So, while I really like Pages and am trying to transition to it for the reasons I stated above, I still find myself longing for Word features at times. So, I'm left balancing my time between the two programs, which I don't like. I just wish Pages had it all right now, but I'll guess I'll have to go through the growing pain.
For those who also own Word, what has been your experience?

    Hullo Tim:
Well I don't own Word, and never will.
It was on offer in a huge corporation I worked with for many years - most of our work done in an IBM 3270 mainframe session. But for word-processing we still had Lotus Word Pro - which went off the rails a bit trying to keep up with Word, and now is moribund. Still its original Ami Pro's inspiration was to facilitate the path from input to publication, and in some aspects it was easier to format, although lacking in even such basic features as proper equalisation of the depth of text in facing pages or adjacent columns. Pages has that, and better realises what Ami Pro (later Word Pro) had tried to do in the first place.
Word just faced you with too much guff, and tended to impose its own look on whatever you tried to do with it. I still reckon I can recognise a Word doc from the other end of a bus, and I frankly don't care if I never see another one. But the problem with both of those was Windows, which never stopped crashing in any iteration we had of it. Useless for creative writing.
Don't know how Word goes on the Mac. I'm told it's better. But it's still the same old beast. Pages is different, and I think predominantly addresses non-corporate uses - which suits me fine now I've retired.
I would like to see Pages grow, though, to accommodate specialist writing markets (e.g., scientific and academic) which I think would help to ensure it continues. In the meantime, though, for getting material into good-looking shape without a lot of fuss and bother, I think it's on the right track. But if we want to benefit from it, yes, there will be growing pains.
Amongst those might be some waiting for compatible third party plug-ins, rather than to see Pages overloaded with bits and pieces you have to comb through to get anything done at all. "Bloat" would destroy it. And I hope Apple won't be seduced into that. Its elegance is paramount.
The trouble with Word is its ubiquity. Except for completely independent use you're practically forced to use it, simply because everyone else does. But I think that will change with a broadening market, and a trend it will force towards file compatibility between many applications. At least I hope Pages will be a part of that, if only to survive. I'd hate to have to part with its style, once having savoured it, since I know of no equal with anything else.
However whilst it matures, I can understand your dilemma.
Here's hoping that Apple will appreciate the real potential of what they have, and throw some effort into refining it, despite a slow initial market response.
    Regards.
PS: You can cut or copy, then either paste as is or paste and match style from the Edit menu in Pages; and copy either character or paragraph styles to paste elsewhere in the Format menu. If you take Pages on its own terms, it does more than might be apparent if you look for how things were done in Word. Generally, the Inspector panels are for manipulating page set-up, layout, text (once you've chosen a font) and objects etc., and the menu and styles drawer for managing and applying things you've set up there. It's a different logic, but powerful.
    Cheers.

  • How many partitions and operating systems can you line up in BootCamp?

A quick question, hopefully with a quick answer.
How many partitions and operating systems can you line up in BootCamp?
Are we limited to just 2, or can we have more?
Say, for example, Mac, Win XP, Win Vista and Linux maybe?
    Thanks in advance.

VPC does not run on Intel Macs. If you wish to use virtualization on an Intel Mac see this:
    Windows on Intel Macs
There are presently several alternatives for running Windows on Intel Macs.
    1. Install the Apple Boot Camp software. Purchase Windows XP w/Service Pak 2 or Vista. Follow instructions in the Boot Camp documentation on installation of Boot Camp, creating Driver CD, and installing Windows. Boot Camp enables you to boot the computer into OS X or Windows.
    2. Parallels Desktop for Mac and Windows XP, Vista Business, or Vista Ultimate. Parallels is software virtualization that enables running Windows concurrently with OS X.
    3. VM Fusionand Windows XP, Vista Business, or Vista Ultimate. VM Fusion is software virtualization that enables running Windows concurrently with OS X.
    4. CrossOver which enables running many Windows applications without having to install Windows. The Windows applications can run concurrently with OS X.
    5. VirtualBox is a new Open Source freeware virtual machine such as VM Fusion and Parallels that was developed by Solaris. It is not yet fully developed for the Mac - some features are not yet implemented - but it does work otherwise.
    6. Last is Q. Q is a freeware emulator that is compatible with Intel Macs. It is much slower than the virtualization software, Parallels and VM Fusion.
Note that Parallels and VM Fusion can also run other operating systems such as Linux, Unix, OS/2, Solaris, etc. There are performance differences between dual-boot systems and virtualization. The latter tend to be a little slower (not much) and do not provide the video performance of the dual-boot system.
See MacTech.com's Virtualization Benchmarking for comparisons of Boot Camp, Parallels, and VM Fusion.
Boot Camp is only available with Leopard. The Boot Camp Beta that was used with Tiger has expired and is no longer available for use. So contrary to the other poster's comment, Boot Camp isn't truly "free." You must purchase Leopard to get it.
You can upgrade XP to Vista without having to make any changes to the Boot Camp partition. Vista can either perform an upgrade install or erase the Windows volume before installing Vista. You don't need to do anything to change the partition via Boot Camp. However, if you need to enlarge the partition, then the only way that can be done is to first use Boot Camp to remove the partition. Then use Boot Camp to make a new, larger partition. All data from the Windows partition will be lost.

  • How many non-leading ledgera we can assign to the one leading leder?

    hi,
how many non-leading ledgers we can assign for one leading ledger..?

    Hi Vijaya,
1)The number of iViews that you add to a Page depends on the Page Layout that you use and your requirement. Adding too many iViews to a page will make the Page look too filled up.
You can arrange the iViews in a Page by selecting an appropriate Page Layout and then adding iViews to it.
2)Normally, we create iViews and assign them to a Page, page to a Workset, workset to a Role and that role to a User.
Yes, u can assign an iview directly to a workset but then a page can contain all related iviews together and then that page can be added to a workset. Adding each ivew to a workset is not recommended.
By adding iviews to a page you can determine the arrangement of the content by selecting a layout from among different predefined layouts. You dont have this option in workset though.
Please reward points if foung useful.
    Regards,
    Becky.
