How many of u guys use a speck case on your macbook pro?

i would just like to know how many of u use it as is or with a hard case ?

Hi
My MBP cost £1800. I want to keep it immaculate for as long as I can. I have applecare and its fully insured. Ideally I would like 3 years life from it to warrant the cost.
Hence I give it the best possible protection to keep it immaculate. The day I purchased it I put a speck shell on it. I had the clear gloss which does smudge and scratch a little. I now have the satin/matte Red version which does not smudge and is resilient to scratches. The cases does add a fair weight to the MBP, but I am strong so no problem. If you are feminine then this may be an issue.
The case does make the MBP a little hotter but no big worries. When i am doing hours of HD Video encoding I do take it off and pop it on the Rain mStand.
I also have a moshi keyboard gel pad which i use occasionally use to protect the keyboard from drink and crumbs. If I am travelling with the MBP I have a hard Targus case from Argos which is compact and slim. This setup looks fabulous and protects your investment.
After 4 months its in Pristine condition.
I be without it. Very easy to put on and off and very snug. Previously I had a 13" unibody for a year and subjected it to the same protection. When I sold it I got top price and it was Pristine condition.
Hope this helps

  • BEWARE SPECK SEETHRU CASES DAMAGE YOUR MACBOOK PRO

Okay guys don't buy this case it wrecks your macbook, I had it on my mac for about a week and I took it off earlier today August 26, 2010 and when I opened and closed the lid of the mac there was a snapping noise I've went onto other forums and people had the same problem as me, does anybody know how to fix this? If so PLEASE HELP this machine costed 2500 dollars I don't wanna have a broken 2500 machine....

It could be the black plastic casing that covers the hinge. On old powerbooks the casing was aluminium and screwed into place, but on these unibody macs the cover for the hinge is just snap in place plastic and can easily be moved out of position - if it's not in the centre of the hinge, the plastic can make this snapping sound.
It's the black plastic directly under where it says 'macbook pro', extending around the hinge to the back of the machine. On the back, you should be able to get a finger nail under one end and you can push it back into the centre. Otherwise with the screen upright use something that isn't sharp or metal, that you can use to slide the casing back.
The only damage issues I've heard with these sorts of cases is to do with trapped dust that ends up rubbing against the metallic coating.

  • Will a Speck case scratch my Macbook Pro?

I recently purchsed a MacBook Pro 13" without Retina. Despite what most people say, I am interested in purchasing a hard shell case for my macbook (i also have a soft case to lug it around in). Anyway, I started looking at Speck which is what Apple appoves of. Chances are I would purchase the most basic See Thru type, but I may go for the Satin one as well. The reviews are mixed, which scare me. I dont care about the case itself scratching, but my concern lies with whether or not the case will scratch my precious macbook. Any personal testimonies?

I have a 13" MBP with a hardshell from Incase.  I take off the bottom once in a while.  I am conscience of where I put it down against, usually clean surfaces.  When opening, no dirt or particles.  I take a soft cloth and clean off any dust once a month.  That's all you need.  I have no scratches on by 2010 model and looks brand new.
I would recommend Speck of Incase hard shells.

  • How can i get in work my Hp scaner with my macbook pro?

how can i get in use my Hp scaner with my macbook pro?

You have the display set in Extended Desktop mode with the MacBook as the main screen. The Menu Bar and Dock will be on the MacBook display and your background screen on the TV but you can move the cursor onto the TV screen.
In System Preferences>Display on the MacBook screen there should be an Arrangement tab when you have the MacBook hooked up to the TV and both screens working. When you click the Arrangement tab do you see two monitors side by side? One of them will have a Menu Bar at the top. Just click on the Menu Bar and drag it to the second monitor. That will make the second monitor your main screen.
The TV will now have the Dock and Menu Bar and windows will open on it. But you can move the cursor to the MacBook screen and move windows from the TV over to the MacBook screen.
You can now use your MacBook in Clamshell Mode with a wired or Bluetooth keyboard and mouse.  http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3131 When you disconnect from the TV your Menu Bar will automatically change back to the MacBook.
Or if you want to work on the MacBook screen while showing it on a TV you can check the Mirror Display box on the lower left hand side of the Arrangement tab under the two monitors box. That will give you the same screen at the same resolution on both the MacBook and the external monitor.

  • How many servers Client is using now?

How many Servers Client is using now?
Please give me rough idea that how many servers will be there in Sand Box and Golden Box ie Dev-Test-Prod?

    Hi SAP Landscape:
Landscape is like a server system or like a layout of the servers or some may even call it the architecture of the servers viz. SAP is divided into three different lanscape DEV, QAS and PROD.
    - DEV would have multiple clients for ex: 190- Sandbox, 100- Golden, 180- Unit Test.
    - QAS may again have mutiple clients for ex: 300- Integration Test, 700 to 710 Training.
    - PROD may have something like a 200 Production.
    - SANDBOX for research and development
These names and numbers are the implementer's discreet on how they want it or they have been using in their previous implementations or how is the client's business scenario.
Now whatever you do in the Sandbox doesn't affect the other servers or clients. Whenever you think you are satisfied with your configuration and you think you can use it moving forward, you RE-DO it in the golden client (remember, this is a very neat and clean client and you cannot use it for rough usage). As you re-do everything that you had thought was important and usable, you get a transport request pop up upon saving everytime. You save it under a transport request and give your description to it. Thus the configuration is transported to the Unit Test client (180 in this example).
You don't run any transaction or even use the SAP Easy Access screen on the 100 (golden) client. This is a configuration only client. Now upon a successful tranport by the Basis guy, you have all the configuration in the Testing client, just as it is in the Golden client. The configuration remains in sync between these two clients.
But in the Testing client you can not even access SPRO (Display IMG) screen. It's a transaction only client where you perform the unit test. Upon a satisfactory unit test, you move the good configuration to the next SERVER (DEV). The incorrect or unsatisfactory configuration is corrected in Golden (may again as well be practised in the sandbox prior to Golden) and accordingly transported back to 180 (Unit Test) until the unit test affected by that particular config is satisfactory.
The Golden client remains the 'database' (if you wanna call it that) or you may rather call it the 'ultimate' reference client for all the good, complete and final configuration that is being used in the implementation.
    In summary:
Landscape : is the arrangement for the servers
IDES : is purely for education purpose and is NOT INCLUDED in the landscape.
    DEVELOPMENT ---> QUALITY -
    > PRODUCTION
DEVELOPMENT : is where the the consultants do the customization as per the company's requirement.
QUALITY : is where the core team members and other members test the customization.
PRODUCTION : is where the live data of the company is recorded.
A request will flow from Dev->Qual->Prod and not backwards.
    1. Sandbox server: In the initial stages of any implementation project, You are given a sandbox server where you do all the configuration/customization as per the companies business process.
    2. Development Server: - Once the BBP gets signed off, the configuration is done is development server and saved in workbench requests, to be transported to Production server.
    3. Production Server: This is the last/ most refined client where the user will work after project GO LIVE. Any changes/ new develpoment is done is development client and the request is transported to production.
These three are landscape of any Company. They organised their office in these three way. Developer develop their program in Development server and then transport it to test server. In testing server tester check/test the program and then transport it to Production Server. Later it will deploy to client from production server.
Presentaion Server- Where SAP GUI have.
Application Server - Where SAP Installed.
Database Server - Where Database installed.

  • How Many Times Can I Use The Same Serial Number For Adobe Creative Suite 4?

I have design standard and was told I can use the same serial number on multiple computers. How many time can I use it? And say I install it on the maximum number of computers, but get a new computer, can I uninstall it on one of the old computers and use it on the new one? And can I use the programs on both computers simultaneously or do I have to use them one at a time?

    Fred Tech wrote:
Broadly speaking, it depends on the type of license you have.
Specifically, if you have a single license then officially, you should only install it once on one computer.
Practically, (unless it has changed with CS4) you maybe able to install it on more then one computer, BUT can only run one instance of the software at a time. You can not run more then one instance of the software concurrently; i.e. you can't run Dreamweaver on Computer 1 and Photoshop on Computer 2. That would be two instances, and is not permitted.
This is my understanding. I am happy to be corrected if I am wrong
    Fred
    Sorry Fred you are wrong.
If you have a single license you can install it on as many computers as you like. you can only activate the suite on two computers at anyone time. Work and Home or as many of us do it Desktop and Laptop. You can not use the computers simultaneously. You only have 20 activation/deactivations so use them wisely. Student versions only have one activation. You can not break up the suite installs the suite is considered one application.

No, you can sync your DRM tracks to an unlimited number of iPods (but only authorized to play on 5 different computers/user accounts)

  • How many times can I use a form?

    Hi Everyone,
Can anyone explain what this means? (text below) If I make a form in LiveCycle Designer and then I extend it so that other users can fill it out...Does that mean that only 500 people can use the form?
If so, then...I am dumbfounded and disappointed.
What must be purchased in order to allow more than 500 people to use an extended form?
    Thanks All.
"15.12.3. For any unique Extended Document, you may only either (a) Deploy such Extended Document to an unlimited number of unique recipients but shall not extract information from more than five hundred (500) unique instances of such Extended Document or any hardcopy representation of such Extended Document containing filled form fields; or (b) Deploy such extended Document to no more than five hundred (500) unique recipients without limits on the number of times you may extract information from such Extended Document returned to you filled-in by such Recipients. Notwithstanding anything herein to the contrary, obtaining additional licenses to use Acrobat Pro or Acrobat Pro Extended shall no increase the foregoing limits (that is, the foregoing limits are the aggregate total limits regardless of how many additional licenses to use Acrobat Pro or Acrobat Pro Extended you may have obtained).

There are two parts to your question, even though one is implicit.
Question 1 (implicit): Can I have an unlimited number of people fill in and submit the data for a form?
Answer 1: Yes.  Reader has always allowed an unlimited number of people fill in a form as part of a web transaction and submit the results.  And, there have always been an unlimited number of times that someone can store the form (with no data filled in) on local systems or media or print the form.
Question 2: Then what is the 500 user limit referred to with the reader extensions talking about?
Answer 2: Reader Extensions is a capability enabled by the LiveCycle Reader Extensions server, or Acrobat (in the limited cases you quote from the EULA) to let a user save a form on a local system with data filled into it.  You can read more about it on the product page; the number of forms or recipients are part of the terms of the server license. Acrobat Pro can reader-extend a subset of the capabilities of the server product (only local form data save, signatures and commenting; not pdf spawn pages, web services or ODBC data access) and it only allows the 500 users in the two cases in the EULA for form data save.
To make this more clear, consider two cases... a form that is not reader-extended (RE) and one that is.
Not RE: You can get a form from a website, fill it in, and then submit the data by HTTP or email. However, if you save the form on your local system, the form that is saved is the blank form without the data.
RE:You can get a form from a website, fill it in, and then submit the data by HTTP or email. But also, the user can save a copy of his form with the data filled in for his archival purposes. They can also start filling out the form, save it locally, come back and work on the data later, save again, and then finally submit.  The submit can be done by the same HTTP or email methods as above or the user can even choose to send the entire form back and have the werver process extract the data. (If you choose to reader extend through Acrobat, this use case is subject to the EULA limitations).
    I hope that helps.

  • How many times can I use a Windows 7 disc in Bootcamp?

    Hello,
I want to install Windows 7 on my Macbook Pro via Bootcamp, but I am wondering how many times I can use the Windows Install disc. Currently, I have one MacBook Pro, and in the near future, I will be getting an iMac. Now I want to be able to create a Windows partition for each of these computers, but I am wondering if I will be able to use the same Windows Install disc, or activation keys, or whatever. So can I use a single Windows Install disc on two different computers to create two fully-functioning Bootcamp partitions?
    Thanks for any help.

yes an activation pair the serial nr with a guid from the hardware one install it on so it can only be activated 1 time
(if ones computer dies then one have to call ms to be able to use the serial on a new computer)
if one does not activate windows it will stop working after 30 days or so

how many computers can i use with creative cloud?

    Two.
From the Creative Cloud FAQ here http://www.adobe.com/products/creativecloud/faq.html under the section Purchasing and getting started:
On how many computers can I install the software I download from Creative Cloud?
You can install the desktop applications available in Creative Cloud on your primary computer and one backup computer, as long as they are not running at the same time. You will have access to both the Mac OS and Windows versions, so if you have a Mac at home and a PC at work, for instance, you can install your applications on both. See the product license agreements page for more information.

In my experience the offline servicing feature is only OK and too unreliable for production.
