I was just wondering ...
Even the big NVIDIA Company said a few months ago that they did not had enough man power to create nice Vista Drivers in a short time frame. They just had a few progammers that were busy with thousands of other things and if they had some free time, they worked on drivers.

An official from Nvidia, a leading designer of system chipsets and graphics processors, admitted that the company had underestimated resources it needed to develop proper drivers for Windows Vista, but said the issues would be shortly resolved. Besides, the company has outlined its priorities when developing drivers for the new operating system (OS).
But even though the initial priority of Nvidia when developing drivers were content developers, right now the company has the priority of deli'vering stable drivers for Vista to end-users. It is remarkable that Nvidia even put performance of its drivers on the second place.
This is exactly what I would love to see from Creative Labs!
After the bad feedback about poor driver support Nvidia officially said SORRY for this and hired some more guys that work on drivers all the time. And now it seems to be fine again. Nvidia is back on road again and relasing good drivers every few weeks. This was a response that I liked to see. It's not good for a big company like this to get so many bad feedback and reviews.
Same for Creative. They probably don't get it yet but their poor support and fact that it takes more then a half year to get another bugged driver released is not good for them. People talk bad about them for months now and many people dont want to get CL Products anymore.
I am playing with crackling issues since more then a half year now and I would like to get rid of it. I payed more then 400 for my Elite Pro Card and the drivers are simply not as good as they should be.
Isn't it time for Creative to do something with their driver support Shouldn't they do the same like Nvidia or ATI and get some more people working on drivers
The fact that it takes around a half year for a little driver upgrade shows me that there can not be more then -2 guys working on drivers in some of their free time.
I am a programer myself, already coded drivers and I know its not easy so I dont want to blame them. But in my opionion its simply not enough. I think more people should work on drivers and they should have a higher priority.
I have my own community forums ... a year ago everyone said "Get a XFI Card - best one!". Today everyone says "Don't get XFI - nice hardware but bad drivers".
This should not be ... its bad for CL so please CL ... do something about it and change something! Other big companies already did it! If you dont do it this will have many bad bad results for you! Nobody wants to buy your product anymore if you can't create nice drivers for it!

As a gamer, having capable hardware is a must at all times. When i built my new system recently the only thing that traveled from my old system to the new build was my sound card, the X-Fi. Amazingly to my surprise all my other hardware had vista x64 software/drivers available. Sadly enough i must say that i really liked this card and how it ran on my older system, it was because creative had so called vista drivers i went ahead and installed it (vista). Unfortunately i am too far in vista with my other apps, work to go back and too be honest i like it. I am getting the point where i am very close to getting rid of this card, reason being i can only run my games in software sound mode which is majorly sucking now. There are a few cards which i cant mention bc the mods will just remove the name and while they already have mature vista drivers the lack of EAX 3.0+ is whats holding me back a few more weeks. Interestingly its also creative's fault that no one else can use EAX 3.0+.
To answer your question a bit more directly, creative probably has no more than 2-3 ppl working on drivers at any one time. And until recently that probably did the job fine, unfortunately times have changed OSs are more complex, driver writing isn't what it used to be and creative needs to get their but in gear..Maybe even let us know whats going one every once in a while. Because like i said it before and will say i again, once valuable customers are lost they usually don't come back even if they develop a superior product.

C2 (and filled right to column D, then both filled down to row 5):
=COUNTIFS(Data :: $A,"<="&$B,Data :: B,TRUE)-SUM(C$1:C1)
Two changes from the previous example:
COUNTIFS is used to separate the Native and Foreign counts as well as the age range to be counted.
The amount subtracted from each result is the SUM of the earlier results, and includes the text value in the first cell of the column (which is interpreted by SUM as a zero).
See note below regarding my earlier formula.
When the greyed columns are hidden and the checkbox in the Reorganize pane is checked, the two tables will appear as shown below:
Close the reorganize pane, and the 'data entry form' is ready to use.
To use, enter the age first, then check one of the boxes.
As soon as one box is checked, the row will be hidden, and the next (unused) row will be shown.

Note regarding formula in my earlier post:
The earlier formula will give erroneous results as it subtracts only the count directly above it from its count of persons in the age range 0-n.
In E2 of that table, replace "-E1" with "-SUM(E1:E$1)
Fill down to E8.
Ignore the instructions (in that post) following "Fill down to E8."

I have had numerous issues. Originally, I couldn't get video to work at all in Leopard (worked fine in Tiger). I just recently did all of the following things:
Set QT STreaming to 1.5
Set bandwidth (in iChat) to 500kbps (Comcast)
Deleted iChat prefs and ichatagent prefs
Set parallels network to "host only" (was on shared)
Reset PRAM
Reset security port to 443 (in iChat prefs, server settings)
Restart iChat (obviously)
Right now, all of my buddies are currently offline, but I did test with apple's auto-bots and interestingly, I'm getting video to work with appleu3test01 and appleu3test03, but I get the same connection problem as before with appleu3test02 ("There was a communication error during your chat"). I'm curious what's different about this bot's settings. I'll report more when I get to test with a real person.

Actually the requirement needs more clarity but apparently:
You need to creat
--7 PWS for the Gen Shift
--4 PWS for 12 hr shifts
--3 PWS for rotation shifts(A,B,C shifts)
Note: if the rotation is like A shift for all the 6 days and B shift for all the 6 days and C shift for all the 6 days : in this case u need to creat 3 PWS. But if it is like A B C A B C shifts (starting from mon(A),tue(B) ...) then u can define one PWS which might work for all.
U need to creat 7 PWS for gen shift coz give mon as weekly off in 1st PWS and Tue as weekly off in 2ed PWS and so on.
so u need to creat 7 PWS with 7 diff Weekly offs.

I would like to precise more things regarding the network.
I did a case study for one customer and really to have good performances with SAP BPC client the network required the follow:
Bandwitdth 1024kb/s
Latency smaller than 200 ms between BPC client and BPC server
Otherwise the users will experience problems:
1. IBandwitdh < 1024Kb/s then to download 80 MB or more (templates + dimensions) will require a lot of time and that's means the login time will be very slow every time when a dimension is changed or security is process
2. When an report is executed (a medium report not very complex report) around 100 mesage are send between bpc client and server. So if latency > 200 ms than a simple calculation is saying just into network it will be lost 200 * 100 ms = 20 s.
So for a report which normally is taking 5 - 10 second it will take 30s or even more into client with latency bigger than 200 ms.

"MAXLOGMEMBERS" has nothing to do with the number of users that can connect to the instance. It is a parameter to control the number of files that can be assigned to a group of (redo) log files.
how many people can connect at Oracle XE?Well, that depends on how they connect. There are parameters controlling the number of sessions in the database. But if you have a technical user, e.g. when using APEX, there may be more users than sessions in the database...
So you need to clarify what kind of user access you mean.

I am using a G5 as a server with external drives attached. I get a message from time to time that says "too many users are logged in at once", is there a limit to how many people can log into a G5 at once ?
All are on different users, and it's a total gigabit network.

Currently only one person. A lot of users want to be able to FT multiple users.

How long can you share a folio file for and how many people simultaneously

Questions per above title, can you share a folio file via the content viewer for an unlimited time? How many people could you share it with simultaneously?
As well I am trying to understand do you have to pay for DPS (and if so can it just be the single version) to be able to share a .folio file through the content viewer. Can you just have in design 5.5+.
In addition, if the .folio file is set up for Ipad distribution when shared will it be formatted and fully usable/interactive through the content viewer by the person you are showing it to on the ipad?

You do not need to pay to share a folio file via the content viewer.
I'm not aware of any limits on how long a folio can be shared to, or how many e-mails a folio can be shared to.

Hi Annapurna,
There's no limit that I'm aware of or which is mentioned anywhere. Just as an example: I have a logical fact table with around 750 logical columns (>500 original measures & 250 derived measures). No issue whatsoever. Opening the presentation table through answers takes about 2-3 seconds (the NQSQL command has a lot to retrieve), but that's about it.

I'm not sure that you can. Why have so many people got your password? So many in fact, that you don't know how many.
You can see how many computers are authorised to play any songs you have purchased from the iTunes Store, but that isn't quite the same thing.
Perhaps a better idea would be to change the password and not let anyone else know what it is. That would at least prevent anyone else from changing it and locking you out of your own account.
