How many sites can a DAG belong?

Hi all,
How many sites/data centres can a DAG belong?  I am quite familiar using 2 data centres to implement a DAG however I have a scenario where adding an additional data centre may be an option.  The DAG would have a single primary DC hosting active
databases (plus FSW) whilst the other 2 DCs would be for passive copies.
Is this a scenario supported by Microsoft?
Any help/links to definitive info would be great.
paul.

I dont think there is set number.

To achieve a highly available and site resilient architecture, you must have two or more datacenters that are well-connected (ideally, you want a low round-trip network latency, otherwise replication and the client experience are adversely affected).
In addition, the datacenters should be connected via redundant network paths supplied by different operating carriers.

  • How many sites can I publish with my subscription Creative Cloud?

I have a subscription to Adobe Creative Cloud. I have already published a site with no problems. Trying to publish a second website I get the answer that I must proceed with a new hosting plan for a fee. Considering my Creative Cloud includes the publication of 5 sites how to solve this problem?

    Hi,
Correct under a purchased CC subscription you will be entitled to 5 "webbasic" plan sites for hosting.  This sounds like the site might be under a higher plan which would require purchasing the higher site plan.

Welcome to the Apple Discussions. To add to Mirielle's comment regarding iWebSites let me add that I use iWebSites to manage multiple sites.. It lets me create multiple sites and multiple domain files.
If you have multiple sites in one domain file here's the workflow I used to split them into individual site files with iWebSites. Be sure to make a backup copy of your original Domain.sites files before starting the splitting process.
This lets me edit several sites and only republish the one I want.

  • How many sites???

How many sites can I have with my .mac account and iweb? I had one site I made at work and then came home and built a different site and it replaced the one I had? What should I do? Thanks!!!

Thanks alot Tom for all your patence. I would test the machine befor I sent the url to others, however others already have the url which is why I was afraid to change stuff. I am at work now and going to just bring this site home with me to have both sites on 1 computer. Do I save the Users/username/Library/Application Support/iWeb/Domain file and put it on my computer at home that has the current published site and this should replace that one? Will that open my project on that computer, so I don't have to redo stuf? Instead of saving this file to a disk can I save it on my idisk and open it at home? If you remember I created and publish a site at work....then I went home and created and published a site at home, which replaced my original published site (that I created at work). Now I'm at work going to save whatever file to bring it home and put both on the same computer..... Do I have to have (bring home) all the pictures etc, that I used for the website I created at work or are those files all on my idisk? I see them on my idisk (under the new site name) but I'm not sure if I need the files on my computer or not? I'm sure I don't, but I better ask befor I leave here and have to drive all the way back.
I promise to be out of your hair as soon as I complete this task. Thanks!!!

  • How Many WebSItes can I create

I already created a web site but I´d like to create a new one. Is this possible without erasing the first one? How many sites can I create?

Welcome to the Apple Discussions. Yes. Create a new site in iWeb and rename it to whatever works best. When you publish the URL will be: http://web.me.com/YourMMe_Account_Name/SiteName/
You can have as many sites as you have room form. I have over 85 individual sites in my MMe account.

  • How many pages can I put on my site, I need over 20?

How many pages can I have on iWeb, I need about 20 or more?

The only limitation is the space on the server to hold the pages.  20 pages won't take much room.

  • How many webpages can I create?

How many different webpages can I create with iWeb? I just created a site to show friends a slide show from a recent trip, but I need to create another webpage that will have video on it. It would be a totally different subject matter. I do have a .MAC account and not sure if I need to do anything with that so I can have more webpages.
I guess what I am saying is that I am going to need different URL's for the webpages I am going to need to create and want to know how many you can have or create using iWeb.

Well let's see if we can sort this out.
Hmmmmm that sounds like a lot of duplicating domain files and putting them in folders yada yada yada.
"yada yada yada" aside, you can't appreciate what you don't understand. Get a few sites created in iWeb, all sitting in the same Domain file, and I guarantee you will start to get a handle on it.
I don't know why there isn't a way you can give your newly created website a title and then iWeb uses that title as a NEW URL to go under your domain name.
You can. And iWeb does. If you are hosting with .Mac your url will correspond with the name of your site. (web.mac.com/username/iWeb/nameofsite)
In iWeb it seems like I can only add 1 video per page!
Probably better if you don't embed a bunch of video in a single web page; the page will take forever and a day to load. Find a frame in the video that best represents the video and take a screen shot of it. Save this shot as a jpg and then place it in the page. Now enable it as a hyperlink using Inspector, and then link to the video file. iWeb will upload the file upon publishing and the plug-in will take over from there for visitors.
Should I just try to make my page in .MAC? If I go that route and publish it, will the .MAC page messed up my iWeb page which would be of a totally different subject matter? [sic]
I don't really understand your question there, but let me try to give an answer anyway. Homepages aside, you don't create stuff with .Mac. .Mac is server space, referred to as your iDisk, that integrates beautifully with Macintosh iLife. Use iWeb, create your sites, name them differently so they don't overwrite each other upon publishing and fire away. If you want to keep them all in a single Domain file then go ahead. Use the File/New Site command in the menu. You can publish as many different and individual sites to .Mac as your subscription space will allow.

You can have multiple websites, each with multiple pages depending on the need. To make managing multiple sites easier, take a look at iWebSites. The limiting factor, as was pointed out, is the available space on your iDisk. I use iWebSites to manage multiple sites.. It lets me create multiple sites and multiple domain files.

  • How many vpn can be used simultaneously in Azure?

I need to add multiple locations to my azure platform approximately 90 branches , I need to know if I should set up a vpn for each branch , or as I should. thank you very much .
I am from Colombia , if they can write in Spanish would be better

    Hi,
It seems that you have asked this question before:
    https://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/azure/en-US/c533ff85-c155-4a19-8156-67901da66ee4/how-many-vpn-can-be-used-simultaneously-in-azure?forum=WAVirtualMachinesVirtualNetwork#c533ff85-c155-4a19-8156-67901da66ee4
Based on my experience, the maximum limitation for virtual networks and local networks is 100 per subscription and the limitation for local network
sites is 10 per virtual network in Azure. If you connect each on-premise branch with an Azure virtual network, it would be possible to do that. However, the default limitation for virtual networks and local networks is 10 per subscription, you can request
an increase limitation by following the article below:
    http://azure.microsoft.com/blog/2014/06/04/azure-limits-quotas-increase-requests/
If you have anything unclear, please feel free to let me know.
    Best regards,
    Susie

  • How many clients can connect to Topic?

I've just read through the jms tutorial and it seems to be ment to losely couple parts of a big systems. (delivery -> factory -> order)
I'm in the process of beginning a application which has the following structure:
One client sends a message to the server, the server sends this message to one or more clients. (in jms: sender sends message to topic, topic sends message to receiver).
Now the client which receive the message from the server isn't part of a system, it's actual a person who sits behind his/her computer and finds the messages interesting.
My question is about how many clients can "watch" the topic for messages? Are we talking about 50, 100, 500 or 1000 or maybe 10.000 ?

    Jan,
I do not think that there is a forced limit for as long as your hardware can sustain.
It also probably depends from MQ vendor to vendor, and their JMS implementations.
In one of my apps 10,000 subscribers was the practical celing due to the memory limitations. (On Solaris 8, 2 GB shared memory)
In another that used open source JMS celing was much lower. due to its underlying EJB implementation (Linux).
I would suggest a clean box test. Benchmarking, stress and load testing you middleware is always a good idea. It will give you a good idea what your app can and can not do.

  • How many machines can I down load my product too? And how to remove from one and add to another?

How many machines can I down load my product too?

If you purchased a download from Adobe, you can find the download link in your Adobe account. If you have a serial number, you can download a trial version from the Acrobat product page at http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat.html. You can enter your serial number when you run the trial to convert it to a licensed copy. If you registered your serial number, it will be listed in your Adobe account. To access your account, click My Adobe at the top right of the Adobe.com site, just beneath the main navigation bar.

  • Known limit for how many characters can be entered in the To field when adding People and Groups ?

I am running MOSS 2007 SP1. I browse to site settings > People and groups and a group which has more than 60 members. I select all > Click Actions > Email Users. Nothing happens. I select less users, new outlook window comes up as it should. I am running outlook 2007. I first thought that the limit was 50 users, but different user selections let me select 51 users as well. I then concentrated on the character limit and I noticed that there were about 1580 characters in the To field when I selected 50/51 users.
Is there a known limit in sharepoint/outlook client for this function on how many characters can be entered in the To field?

    Hello Amar,
This is a by-design behavior, not from SharePoint side, but Internet Explorer. The limitation by the 2083 characters in IE for the Max URL length is described in the following KB article:
(KB208427) Maximum URL length is 2,083 characters in Internet Explorer
    http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;EN-US;208427
As a workaround, you may need to divide the list up and not send all the email at the same time. Hope it helps!
    Best Regards,
    Lionel
