How many slideshows come with aperture 3?

I read somewhere Aperture 3 has more slideshow themes if you purchase iLife 11'. Is this true?

I am not positive about that one. I believe it's iPhoto, but i don't want to say yes, for sure... sorry.

  • How many instruments come with 09?

I recently purchased a new macbook and ilife 09. I am wondering with garageband how many instruments come pre loaded? I heard there were quite a bit but it does not seem like there are too many. Is there somewhere I can download more, or load more onto garageband. I am looking for more orchistra sounds and piano sounds. Not strange piano sounds but something that actually sounds like a piano. currently there are three in my garageband (grand piano, grand piano hall, and punchy grand piano) Are there places where I can get more pianos and orchistra sounds?

When I installed iLife '09, the main piano sound was grayed out and when I selected it, it told me to either download or install the sound from disk (installing from disk is always a better idea). So I put in the disk and it completed a 1 GB+ install of final sounds. So... you too may have more included sounds that just need to be installed.
Beyond that, it depends on what you're looking to do and your budget.
Apple makes an Orchestra Jampack with some decent sounds. You might want to look into that.
If you want to step it up a level from Jampacks, there are several 3rd party companies out there that make good orchestral sounds, but cost several times the cost of a Jampack.
For example, Garritan is pretty good. http://www.garritan.com/
The best is Vienna, but it is also the most expensive. http://vsl.co.at/en/211/1343/957.vsl

  • How many licenses come with the small business creative cloud package?

Right now, we are using both licenses for our current CC subscription. I need just one more, but Adobe would require me to get a whole separate subscription for a total of 4 licenses and double the price. I noticed that the small business plan is $70 per month and I'm just wondering how many licenses it is equipped with. Thanks

    Hi,
The plan that you are referring to at $70 per month is for 1 license within the Creative Cloud for teams.

  • How many CDs come with the iMac?

This may be a stupid question, but I thought I saw more CD's when I unpacked the iMac. Could be my imagination, too.
Should there be more than 2 CDs (actually DVD's) that came with the iMac?
    Thanks.

Thanks. Just wanted to double check.

  • How many disks come with Final Cut Studio?

Sounds like a funny question, but somebody gave me these disks and I just want to know if I have them all before I install, and is there any sequence to the installation?
    Thanks.

It is indeed a strange question and you were extremely lucky to be given $1,000 worth of DVDs.
There are 7 discs in FCS 3 and you start off with the Final Cut Studio Install Disc, with which you configure the installation process.
During the installation process you will be informed when to use the others.

  • How many Slideshows

How many slideshows can I have on 1 DVD? How can I add text to my photos on a slideshow for the last photo of the slideshow. Also can I add more than one song to a slideshow? Thanks..

    Hi tonyrg,
    Welcome to discussions!
There are several things you that you can do to end up with what you are asking for. You can create a longer slideshow in iDVD. You can also create a slideshow in iMovie, and export it into an iDVD project. Also, for future reference, you're going to want to post your question as a new topic, as it is in the middle of another topic that is being discussed.

  • How many photos can the Aperture Library hold ????

Just trying to work out the limits for photos for Aperture ? How many photos do you folks have in your libraries ?
    Cheers Darren

As you get close to 750,000 you begin to run into problems with administrative tasks taking too long.  Repair and Rebuild will take days, not hours.  Upgrading a Library that large is also better measured in days than in hours.  The longest operation I've done took 82 hours.
Because of my time limitations (not the computer's) I did not grow this test Library beyond 750,000 Images, which I consider, as a rule-of-thumb, the practical limit for an Aperture Library running on c. 2014 equipment.  (YMMV — a lot of variables in there.)
Just for some sense of scale, if you looked at each Image in a Library with 750,000 Images for 1 second and never blinked or paused, it would be more than 8 ½ days until you'd "seen" all of them.  (750000 /60 /60 /24, or just put "750000 seconds is how many days?" into Google for an impressive use of their built-in converter.)

  • How share Iphoto library with Aperture 3?

I would like to know if it's possible to share the iphoto library with aperture 3 without duplicate the photo. could be possibile to modify one photo with aperture and view the correction with iphoto? is it possible to have one library for the same and open it with one or the other sofwtare?
    thanks a lot,
    V.

    Welcome to the Apple Discussions.
is it possible to have one library for the same and open it with one or the other sofwtare?
    It's not possible.
iPhoto cannot understand the Aperture Library.
Some things you can do: Have two separate libraries pointing at the same set of photos.
Share the Aperture Previews with iPhoto.
But there is no way to have edits made in one Library show up in the other automatically.
possibile to modify one photo with aperture and view the correction with iphoto?
Aperture is not an pixel editor like Photoshop, you cannot use it as an external editor for iPhoto.

  • How many days left with premiere cs6 trial?

how do i know how many days i have left on my premiere cs6 trial version? where does it even indicate that the trial version is a trial version?
    thanks in advance!

When you start up the software, It'll indicate how many days are left for the trial. A trial is usually 30 days, and the countdown starts on first launch.
The software is fully functional and the trial is not limited in any way. Only that it'll stop working after the trial period is up. At that stage you can enter a serial number and convert the trial to a licensed version.

  • How many  Exchanges allowed  with  New Every Two ( NET )- Upgrade Program ? Policy change?

Was I just lucky to get 3 phones before they 'cut me off'?
Read if you're bored (obviously I am):
I was eligible in Oct. '09 for my NET uprade. I got a phone, didn't like it better than what I had so I called Verizon to return it.
They told me the procedure and before I hung up I asked, "How many returns/exchanges are allowed in the NET program?" I SWEAR she said, "As many as you like - Verizon wants you to be happy w/your purchase"....and NO RESTOCKING FEE.
Fast Forward to June '10. My trusty ol' VX8350 finally cracks @ the hinge - still useable, but not long for this world. I check my online account as I'm still eligible for the NET....i order up an LG Acccolade phone (the brand has treated me well), but the phone is too basic (kinda jumped the gun on ordering it). So back it goes..
I check my Verizon online account about 2 weeks later, and see my account has NOT been updated to reflect the Accolade was rec'd and I'm still eligible for the NET. I call Customer Service (CS) and after a few minutes, they let me know the phone is rec'd and they can update my account to make me eligible for the NET....and NO RESTOCKING FEE.
So. after a couple of days, I go back online and order up a CASIO EXILIM - It is the ONLY 'multimedia' phone that doesn't require a 'data plan' for an extra $9.99/month. Verizon changed it back in Jan. '10, IIRC - I was told by a Verizon rep during a 'chat' session(and WTH happened to the online chat??).
After living w/the phone for a couple weeks, I'm not liking it. Back it goes to Verizon. I look online a couple of days ago, and don't see that I'm eligible for the NET so I call Verizon. After spending a few minutes going over my account the rep verifies that the Casio has been rec'd and that he will transfer me to the department that handles updating my NET status.
He also notes that I HAVE BEEN CHARGED a RESTOCKING FEE, which he kindly waives. ( I hope!)
HE VERIFIES THAT I HAVE REC'd and RETURNED 2 PREVIOUS PHONES - and says NOTHING about losing my NET eligibiltity. He even states he's worked w/Verizon 'for quite a while' and defends/explain the reasoning for adding the requirement for a data plan w/most/all the multimedia-type phones, "Due to a bunch of people having huge data bills, we instituted this to make sure the customer doesn't have unintended charges. Verizon had their biggest 'write-off' due to this, as customers had these huge data bills and weren't able to pay them". (OK, riiigghhht) After being on hold for awhile he states their's a Tornado warning @ the office he wanted to tranfer me to, so I just agree to be put in the 'queue' .....after 10 minutes I have to get back to work so I hang up.
Today, I call and talk to a gal (nice enough) who after reviewing my account AND TALKING TO HER SUPERVISOR tells me her supervisor will not authorize me receiving the NET eligiblity as their policy is only 1 Exchange allowed, per their Return Policy. I argue that I was told differently in the past and I'm not happy w/their CS (for which she aplogizes) - being in CS my self, I don't take it out on the rep...they're just the messenger.
Was I just lucky to get 3 phones?
    Td

Customers may exchange unwanted devices / accessories only once within 30 days from the date of purchase.
The start of the 30-day period for Activate Later Upgrades is based on the date of purchase.
All device returns (not exchanges) reset the customer's contract, upgrade, and NE2 (New Every Two) dates.
A $35 Device Restocking Fee is applied to account

  • How to use iMovie with Aperture Library from an external drive?

    Hey,
    Some problems:
    1. My first video, I stored the project on my own laptop and used the library from the HD. This seems to give some problems, but I now figured out I have to consolidate the media etc. so now my files don't get missing after unplugging the harddrive. I figured it would be a better idea to make all new projects on the HD, so I have everything in place all the time. BUT. look at the picture: there seems to be something wrong with the way iMovie recognizes the aperture library: i'ts not listed in the events library under the HardDisk (named Passport) but under my own drive... ??? (+ I don't understand the idea of events when I have my aperture library: Do I need to make events for all projects I make? how is this possible when the library is not in the correct position?)
    2. I made a movie, but I'm unable to export a large/high quality version of this project. That's why I want to move my project to the HD and then open it on my partners Mac Book Pro to make a good export. Unfortunately, his macbook doesn't recognize the files and the files can't be opened in iMovie... (files stay gray and unclickable)
    To sum it all up:
I want the best way to work with this set-up: mac book air, external drive with all my files and iMovie.  And I want to be able to open the project on a different computer to make high quality exports.

First thing that comes up with videos in your 'picture' library is the videos are always under the full control of the picture library program. Which means Aperture is the keeper and master, and it decides what will be displayed in iMovie's Event Library. If Aperture is having difficulties sometimes it cannot or will not display the videos you are storing there.
Right now, I think the problem is your Aperture Library is on the internal Mac HD, not the external. You would have to move Aperture's Library to the external HD (along with all the pictures and videos). Then try to add the videos back into a project.
In extreme cases I have recommended moving the videos out of the picture library and re-importing them into iMovie Event folders to let iMovie manage it.

  • Outlook contacts how many will work with out slowing down the search

My new iphone will slow down or freeze when I look up a contach.
I have 8000 contacts, too many for the iphone to work?

    Hello ofrills
The Samsung Rugby II unfortunately doesn't work on our network. It is set up to work only on AT&T's technology. The good news is we have several durable phones available. You can purchase a Verizon device and activate it on your line without a contract.
Here's an example: if your friend had a Verizon device that wasn't activated on a line. You could activate it under your telephone number without a contract extension. If you bought a Verizon device from a third party we could also activate it on your line for you.
Here's a link to our certified pre own device without a 2 year contract: http://www.verizonwireless.com/b2c/store/controller?item=phoneFirst&action=viewAllPhones&deviceCategoryId=5
Please keep in mind signing a two year contract with us will greatly reduce the price of your new device. That time goes by very quickly. We have the best network and an awesome selection of phones!
