The Title says it all. Of what use is the remember Me check box if it utter ignores the fact I have signed in already today 1/2 doz times or more?
What is the matter with Forum Operations? Are you trying to drive away users?

Due to some glitches with contact syncing with groups and what not, I have now had to reset all my custom ringtones for the 8th time!!!

I can't believe more people haven't complained about this and that there is no answer or the famous "workaround". I have had to reset all my ring tone assignments at least a dozen times over the past year. This is a replacement phone, and has happened many times on either. Was using Outlook 2003 pop mail until recently and now Outlook 2003 in exchange. In both cases, the special individual ring assignments hang around for a while but eventually, sure as shootin, they all return to the default and each must be reprogrammed.
Well, guess what? I give the f... up. I have finally been beaten. I am NOT going to reprogram all of them again "hoping for the best" from an Apple product only to be played the fool. I'll just pretend it's yet another feature shortcoming. After spending over a year with the phone, I can safely say, nothing on this phone works properly, nothing.

Software Update button: How many times a day do you click it??

I want to know if there are any other obsessive / compulsive iPhone users out there like me that repeatedly click the "Check for Update" button in iTunes?
I click it maybe a dozen times a day, hoping for a miracle and I'll get a different answer other than "Version 1.0 is the current version."
Maybe it's like the definition of insanity where you keep doing something over and over hoping for a different outcome but knowing its going to have the same result.

That is the latest version of Itunes, the iphone software is version 1. I click on it about on average 1 a day. No need to worry about missing an update as I am sure folks here will be posting about it the minute it comes out.
I am content to set back and let it check 1 a week like it is set now.

Ever since I've been using the E71 (less than a month, a new set), I have to restart it about thrice daily. Mostly, the problem occurs while connecting the phone to the PC (Windows 7) when the USB connection type selector on the phone (which appears when you connect the cable and asks for which mode to connect in) freezes; but some other times, just about any application (including the built-in ones) decides to take a nap and the only way to get it back is turn the set off and then back on again. And as soon as that is done, the app icons are all moved back from the customized folders to the folder "Installations" - very frustrating. I'm afraid of restarting this phone as lots of settings and app icons revert back to the defaults after restarting and I've to go through them again. But at the same time, there seems to be no way to make a stuck USB connection type selector work again without restarting.
Well, from my experience here, I know this particular problem has no solution. (Even if the process is ended using an external app manager, it hangs again on starting the app. This continues until the phone is restarted.) Therefore, I'm not looking for a solution here, although one will be welcome if you've undergone the same and have found a workaround. I just wanna know if you do also have to restart your phone. (I also have one Sony Ericsson and an iPhone; I don't generally need to restart them as long as I don't want to restart. At my current place, however, a Nokia phone is all I can use.)

This will help me determine if the problem lies with the phone or it's me who's doing something differently. Yes I have apps installed on the SD card. Shifting them to the internal memory is not really an option (would leave very little free space over there which would then cause other problems). Besides, if the phone allows you to install the apps on the card, shouldn't they work from there? Yes, they should.
Without the card, there will be no custom apps and the phone would be almost useless (will turn into a basic device used to make calls and send text). To me, this is not an option. Also, I don't see how it would solve the problem automagically after some time.
The card doesn't seem to be faulty. I tried to connect the phone without the card inserted and it got connected alright for two times but the USB mode chooser froze the third time, just the same as with the card inserted. So a new card is probably not going to solve the problem.
Must be something strange happening here. Maybe it's due to the apps installed on the card rather than the internal memory, but I just cannot install all those apps within that limited space.

I brought my iPhone in this past February to get it replaced, hardware problem. Then again in March because the screen kept freezing and wouldn't unlock, they replaced it then as well. Now, my phone shuts off on it's own, and the only way to turn it back on is a hard reset, EVERY time. They keep giving me refurbished phones and every one has something go wrong with it. You need to speak with Apple about this... nothing anyone here can do about that or answer your question. Make an appointment at the Genius bar and tell them exaclty what you posted here. Politely escalate it if necessary.

How many times do I have to download and install Firefox 34.0 Beta 7? Software update asks me to do this (and I do) at least once a day. Yes, I have restarted.

Using MacBook Pro, 15", early 2008, 2.4G Intel core 2 duo, 4G ram. Software update asks to update Firefox 34.0 beta7 every day. If I update, it just asks me to do it again. It has done this through the last several Beta updates. It's a bit disconcerting, since the updates are supposedly for security and stability. Let me put the question in another way: how many times do I have to ignore the update request before it quits asking? This is all causing me to regret making Firefox my default browser, especially since Safari has been improved so much.

Even so there is only a average of nine Beta test builds for each version in six weeks, so not that often.
Sound like you the update is not installing perhaps due to read/write permission issues.

Does anyone know how many times a newly purchased product (MB Air 2014) can be exchanged within the 14 day period? I feel like the MB Pro would be a better fit for me, so I wanted to exchange my Air for the Pro. But also, if I end up not liking the Pro and want to go back to an Air, would I be permitted to do so with another exchange? (all still within the 14 day window after purchase of course).
Also, are there any specifics I need to know in order to return my product and get a new one? Obvioulsy, I would be sure to remove all of my personal files, music, etc...but is there anything else I need to do?
And lastly, and im sure this question is irritating to you Mac wiz kids out there, but are the two models im comparing really all that different? Just play with each and figure out which one you want. I believe they only allow 1 exchange unless it is a defect issue. You can always return the exchanged item and rebuy what you want if they will not allow you to do multiple exchanges.
But again, you need to really figure out which one you want.

I'm wondering. Someone I like have released a song on iTunes and I wanna support them and I dont mind spending a few bucks on them.
So how many times can I download a song and still have it count as an individual purchase? And what about gifting?

As Polydorus said, get only one download per purchase for anything you buy from the iTunes Store other than iOS apps or iBooks. I'm not sure what you mean by "individual purchase" or what you are asking in reference to gifting.

It will depend upon whether you are in a country where films can be re-downloaded (it's not possible to re-download them in all countries, and even where they can be, not all film studios have agreed to it), and if the film remains in the store (film studios occasionally remove them) - if you can re-download it then you can do so as many times as you like.
But it's probably better to keep a copy on a your computer and on a backup so that you can re-sync it to your iPhone as/when you want it.

Is there a method to see how many times each song I've purchased has been authorized? I just authorized a new album I've just bought (authorized to play on my home computer as well as my work). I received an error message saying I've used 5 of the 5 available slots. This better not be correct as I've only authorized a total of two machines (work and home).

log into your iTMS account / manage it.
If you used all of your 5 authorizations your are allowed to de-authorized all of them once a year without accessing each of your authorized computers.
After that just re-authorize both of computers again.
