How many times can I burn a song to CD?

It's been a while, but I read somewhere, that there is a limit to how many times you can burn a song off your Library. I understand the reason for that. I think it said something like 7 times?? I have an iPod, and normally transfer my playlists to it. I change my playlists frequently, so if I were to burn these to CD, I'd have long ago used up my limit.
I have a nice CD player in my Jeep now. I can't hook my iPod to it, so I want to burn some playlists to CD for my Jeep stereo. Do I need to be careful, not to exceed a certain allowance?...or am I just in error, and there is no need to worry?
Was this limit in regards to an entire Album? and single songs in a ever changing playlist is okay?

Is there a way to check to see if a song is DRM protected?
I have been reading what I can on the subject, and it appears I can expect the songs I've purchased from iTunes online, like my AC/DC albums, Scorpions Albums, and Zappa, etc. and etc. are going to be DRM protected.
Maybe I should have bought these Albums elsewhere...but...(shrug)
I have many Celine Albums and Satriani, Heart, etc. that I purchased elsewhere.
Really, the bulk of my Library is made up of songs from CD's I've imported into my Library. I've looked for some evidence of this DRM protection, and I don't see anything..other than an FBI copy theft warning.
Finally, I guess I am a tad bit confused still. I understand any of my songs DRM protected, if I use them in a playlist, any playlist 7 times.. I will be limited now, to only 7 downloads to a CD. That does cause me to rethink how I wish to make playlists.
Am I right to assume now...any song in my playlists that are not under this DRM grip, I will not have to fear using them in a playlist?
On one hand I understand the reasons for protection...and it has nothing to do with decent folks like us. But what irritates me...is I paid for that music...and I should be able to make CD playlists as often as I want....live and learn.
I suppose I should never invest my money on Albums or songs as downloads over the internet. Just go buy the CD?...right?

Once you've downloaded a song from iTunes, is there a limit to how many times you can then burn it to a CD?

The limit is not by song, it's by playlist. Any playlist containing purchased music can burned up to a maximum of 7 times. Once you reach the max burns for a specific playlist, simply change the order of the playlist by one or two songs & that 7 count will re-set.

  • How many times can you burn a protected song?

How many times can you burn a purchased iTMS song onto an audio cd?
I know they say you can only burn a playlist so many times but does that also include the purchased songs? (I hope not)
Does anybody know the official iTMS ruling on this?
    -J

I believe I read that you are allowed to burn it seven times, but I burn mixes all the time and have never run into a message that I've reached my limit. Honestly, though, if you are—at some point—unable to burn anymore, you can reimport a purchased song from one of the burned CDs.
    Hope this helps!

  • How many times can you burn "protected AAC" to CDs...?

How many times can you burn Apple iTunes Store's music files (Protected AAC) to a CD? Seven?

I can put any of the individual songs onto a playlist and burn it to a CD and do it an infinite number of times?
You don't get unlimited burns of a single playlist including any tracks from the iTunes Music Store, no,
Any given playlist that contains a track or tracks purchased from the iTunes Music Store can be burned a maximum of seven times. After that, you either have to alter the playlist (add or remove a track of any type, iTMS or imported) or create a new playlist with the iTMS track(s) you wish to burn. That playlist can also be burned up to seven times. Etc. etc.
Note that this only applies when you're burning an audio CD. You can burn your iTMS tracks as data for backup an infinite number of times. Though of course those data disks won't play in a CD player.
    Hope this clears things up.

  • How many times can you download a song on iTunes and have it count?

I'm wondering. Someone I like have released a song on iTunes and I wanna support them and I dont mind spending a few bucks on them.
So how many times can I download a song and still have it count as an individual purchase? And what about gifting?
    thanks.
    -andy.

As Polydorus said, get only one download per purchase for anything you buy from the iTunes Store other than iOS apps or iBooks. I'm not sure what you mean by "individual purchase" or what you are asking in reference to gifting.
    Regards.

  • How many times can I burn

If i buy a song from itunes, what are the restrictions as far as the number of times that I can burn the song to a disc? Does it depend on how many times I burn it as an mp3 versus a cd/song (wav?)?

I think the limit is 10 of the same playlist. Example if you have tracks A-D and make a CD in that order, you can only make a total of 10 of those, however the count resets if you change the track order.

  • How many times can you burn a protected aac file

hey its prob a silly question but im actualy not sure, once i read that you get unlimited cd burning of tracks bought from itunes, then i read that you can burn a playlist up to 7 times... does that mean the track can only be burnt 7 times or the playlist the track belongs to? if i burn a playlist 7 times then can the tracks in that playlist never be burnt to cd again? help me please im feeling dumb.

A playlist can only be burnt 7 times. After that, you can still burn the same purchased tracks but they would have to be in a different playlist. If I recall correctly, someone (MacAddict? MacWorld?) did an experiment and discovered that you have to do more than change the order of the playlist. You need to actually have different tracks in the playlist.

As many as you like, until or unless they are no longer offered.
You should ALWAYS maintain a backup copy of your computer, including your music.

  • How Many Times Can I Use The Same Serial Number For Adobe Creative Suite 4?

I have design standard and was told I can use the same serial number on multiple computers. How many time can I use it? And say I install it on the maximum number of computers, but get a new computer, can I uninstall it on one of the old computers and use it on the new one? And can I use the programs on both computers simultaneously or do I have to use them one at a time?

Broadly speaking, it depends on the type of license you have.
Specifically, if you have a single license then officially, you should only install it once on one computer.
Practically, (unless it has changed with CS4) you maybe able to install it on more then one computer, BUT can only run one instance of the software at a time. You can not run more then one instance of the software concurrently; i.e. you can't run Dreamweaver on Computer 1 and Photoshop on Computer 2. That would be two instances, and is not permitted.
This is my understanding. I am happy to be corrected if I am wrong
    Fred
    Sorry Fred you are wrong.
If you have a single license you can install it on as many computers as you like. you can only activate the suite on two computers at anyone time. Work and Home or as many of us do it Desktop and Laptop. You can not use the computers simultaneously. You only have 20 activation/deactivations so use them wisely. Student versions only have one activation. You can not break up the suite installs the suite is considered one application.

  • How many times can a team member install Creative Cloud for teams ?

How many times can a team member install Creative Cloud for teams ?
Is it possible for one team member to install it for example on a portable mac and a desktop pc at the same time?

From the Creative Cloud FAQ at https://www.adobe.com/products/creativecloud/faq.html under the Purchasing and getting started section:
On how many computers can I install the software I download from Creative Cloud?
You can install the desktop applications available in Creative Cloud on your primary computer and one backup computer, as long as they are not running at the same time. You will have access to both the Mac OS and Windows versions, so if you have a Mac at home and a PC at work, for instance, you can install your applications on both. See the product license agreements page for more information.

  • How many times can you resend an iTunes Gift Card?

Tried sending an iTunes gift card to a @facebook account but the recipient hasn't received it.
Is it possible to send to another of their @facebook accounts and if that also fails then to a conventional account?
I guess my question is how many times can you resend on Gift Card and to how many different email accounts?

To use an iTune Gift Card to buy books...
Open iTunes on your computer and click on the iTunes Store.
You'll need to be signed in...
Click on the little House icon in the dark gray bar across the top. (or Shift+Command+H)
On the right side of the page under Quick Links click Redeem and enter your code.
Then it will show your credit balance in the dark gray bar across the top next to your account name to let you know how much you have to spend.
Then as you buy books, it'll deduct from the credit balanace.
There is a distinction between, iTunes Gift Card and Apple Gift Card.
Apple Gift Card: can be used to purchase Apple hardware and accessories at any Apple Retail Store, the Apple Online Store...
iTunes Gift Card: To give music, movies, TV shows, apps, books, or anything on the iTunes Store, the App Store, the iBooks Store or the Mac App Store, select an iTunes Gift Card

  • How many times can you clean install leopard on the same computer?

How many times can you clean install leopard on the same computer? Will the leopard dvd run out of installations and not let you install anymore?

    Hi colman Prez;
Now that the funny comments have been made, I have a serious question and that why are you worry about reinstalling Leopard with an Erase & Install which is what I take that you mean when you say clean install. In actually fact there is no such thing in OS X as a clean install.
I am curious because in all the years I have used OS X, I have yet to do an Erase & Install yet.
I know with Windows that they suggest reformatting and reinstalling at the drop of a hat but that isn't true with OS X.
