How many times can I watch a purchased movie?

Dear community,
I just downloaded a movie via the iTunes store and I watched it successfully.
At my second try to watch it again, I received a message saying: "You can't watch this movie on this PC."
Anyone had this issue too?  I'm using iTunes 10.4 on Windows7 PC and this was my first movie download.
I paid 9.99 EUR for this movie (Salt) !!  I can't believe that this purchased movie can only be watched once!!
Thanks for the feedback!
Best regards

You own it.  You can watch it as many times as you like.
What exactly does the error say?

  • How many times can you watch a rented movie in iTunes?

Title describes the question. I'm thinking about either buying or renting a movie in iTunes, so question is how many times can you watch a rented movie? Just once? X times within a given timeframe? Thanks,

You have 30 days from the time of rental to watch your movie, and 24 hours (in the US) or 48 hours (elsewhere) after you've started viewing to finish it. Once the rental period expires, the movie will disappear from your iTunes library. Happy movie watching!

How many times can I watch the movie I just downloaded?

You can watch it as many times as you like, there is no limit. If you take a backup of it (even if you are in a country where films can be re-downloaded for free, there is no guarantee that they will remain in the store for future re-downloading) then you will be able to continue watching it for years to come.
Film rentals are different, in that when you start watching it you have 24 hours if you are in the US, 48 hours elsewhere, before it expires - but during that time you can watch it as many times as you like.

  • Movie rental Q: How many times can you watch the film within 48 hours?

It's just I have 8 hours left on Into The Wild and I fancied watching it a second time, only it is not playing when I click on the thumbnail. It just says "accessing the iTunes store" for a few seconds. I've tried clicking play. Other films appear to work ok, just not this one. I assume that if it doesn't let me watch it a second time iTunes will give me free movie rental credit.

According to the FAQ "Once you've started to watch the movie, you have 24 hours to finish watching the movie (even if you start watching before the download is complete). You can watch the movie as many times as you want within this 24-hour period": iTunes Store movie rental usage

I have multiple computers, can I download to more than one device?

You can download it as many times as you want, as long as the product is available on the download servers.
However, depending on your license, you most likely can only install & activate on two computers.

  • How many times can you download a purchased tune from iTunes?

I am in the process of cleaning up my itunes. I am deleting duplicates. I find that I have duplicates of purchased tunes. Don't know how this even happens but now that I've put 700 duplicates in the wastebasket, I find a lot of purchased tunes gone from the library. The view in the trash does not include artists name so if you don't know the specific name of each song, ouch! My thinking was that if I could redownload tunes that I purchased already from Itunes, I could save my self a lot of work. Any help would be appreciate guys.

+When you buy a song, video, iPod Game, or album from the iTunes Store you are entitled to download it a single time. If you want to download it again, you must purchase it again. You can copy downloaded content between authorized computers.+
+Important: Make a backup of the content you purchase. In case of data loss, including hard drive failure or replacement, accidental deletion, and so forth, you'll be able to restore it from the backup. See How to back up your media in iTunes for instructions.+

  • How many times can I watch . . . . .

I've tried going for walks, drinking, smoking, sex, bocci, . . I even tried changing my coffee brand. I still end up feeling like this guy:

The place I am working at now has a ping-pong table. That is the PERFECT way to get your mind off of things.
Mind you I have only won 2 of the...oh...40+ games I've played, but I am the NEW GUY in the office, and the people worse than me don't play. BUT, I am getting better. One game, or two...even if I lose...does wonders.
Oh, and I post a lot. A DARN LOT. Only when I am stuck and things seems to be foggy. Which, if you look around here, and the creative cow, and LAFCPUG...seems to happen QUITE A LOT.

  • HT204370 How many times can I down load the same movie to my iPhone so I don't have to store on my iPhone ?

How many times can I download a purchased movie to my iPhone, so i can delete and re-download each time I want to watch it?

It will depend upon whether you are in a country where films can be re-downloaded (it's not possible to re-download them in all countries, and even where they can be, not all film studios have agreed to it), and if the film remains in the store (film studios occasionally remove them) - if you can re-download it then you can do so as many times as you like.
But it's probably better to keep a copy on a your computer and on a backup so that you can re-sync it to your iPhone as/when you want it.

  • How many times can you burn a protected song?

How many times can you burn a purchased iTMS song onto an audio cd?
I know they say you can only burn a playlist so many times but does that also include the purchased songs? (I hope not)
Does anybody know the official iTMS ruling on this?
    -J

I believe I read that you are allowed to burn it seven times, but I burn mixes all the time and have never run into a message that I've reached my limit. Honestly, though, if you are—at some point—unable to burn anymore, you can reimport a purchased song from one of the burned CDs.
    Hope this helps!

  • How many times can I download Quick Time Pro once I purchased it?

Last September I purched my update to Quick Time Pro. Now I bought a new Computer and re-formatted the old one, not being able to copy Quick Time Pro from the old to the new computer. Therefore I wanted to download again Quick Time Pro: In the settings window I introduced my program key and then "accepted". It said "Quick Time pro" below the registration line; however, the "apply" buttom was not operative. I checked and my Quick Time version was still "Quick Time 7", not Pro. My question is: how many times can I download Quick Time Pro once I purched it? If I can download it more often than once, how do I proceed? Thank you for your help.

    I started this thread:
    http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=2454706&tstart=0
but I'm afraid it's so involved that thus far, nobody has "touched" it.
However, PART of my problem is similar to THIS person's.
My problem is that I have QT on two different drives in one computer; the one I paid for [QT Pro?] and one I got for free; QT7. I fear the free QT7 might have "interfered" with my "Pro".
So, taking your advice above, looking in the "Help" "About" menu, I find that BOTH of mine another "offer" above the word "About"; they suggest that I "Purchase QT Pro"...... so now, if BOTH of my QT's say THAT, then may I conclude that I do NOT have the Pro version? I'm meaning to say that if I already HAVE the Pro, they wouldn't suggest that I go and "Buy QT Pro".... right? Is this a safe conclusion? for ya'll that HAVE the Pro, and KNOW it, does it suggest to you that you could go and "purchase QT Pro"?
    Thanks,

  • How many times can a team member install Creative Cloud for teams ?

How many times can a team member install Creative Cloud for teams ?
Is it possible for one team member to install it for example on a portable mac and a desktop pc at the same time?

From the Creative Cloud FAQ at https://www.adobe.com/products/creativecloud/faq.html under the Purchasing and getting started section:
On how many computers can I install the software I download from Creative Cloud?
You can install the desktop applications available in Creative Cloud on your primary computer and one backup computer, as long as they are not running at the same time. You will have access to both the Mac OS and Windows versions, so if you have a Mac at home and a PC at work, for instance, you can install your applications on both. • How many times can you resend an iTunes Gift Card?

Tried sending an iTunes gift card to a @facebook account but the recipient hasn't received it.
Is it possible to send to another of their @facebook accounts and if that also fails then to a conventional account?
I guess my question is how many times can you resend on Gift Card and to how many different email accounts?

To use an iTune Gift Card to buy books...
Open iTunes on your computer and click on the iTunes Store.
You'll need to be signed in...
Click on the little House icon in the dark gray bar across the top. (or Shift+Command+H)
On the right side of the page under Quick Links click Redeem and enter your code.
Then it will show your credit balance in the dark gray bar across the top next to your account name to let you know how much you have to spend.
Then as you buy books, it'll deduct from the credit balanace.
There is a distinction between, iTunes Gift Card and Apple Gift Card.
Apple Gift Card: can be used to purchase Apple hardware and accessories at any Apple Retail Store, the Apple Online Store...
iTunes Gift Card: To give music, movies, TV shows, apps, books, or anything on the iTunes Store, the App Store, the iBooks Store or the Mac App Store, select an iTunes Gift Card

  • HT1977 How many times can you download an app?

I have purchased an app from itunes store, my family has alot of devices and i want that app on all of them. we upgrade alot so how many times can you upload an app? Unlimited?

    Welcome to Apple Support Communities
You can download an application in all the devices with your Apple ID as many times as you want for free. You may have to pay again for it if the developer releases an update and wants to make it paid.
It's recommended to have the same Apple ID in all your family devices, but you can also use it with a different Apple ID. In that case, you will have to let your family know your Apple ID password to update the application
