How many times have I authorized a song?
Is there a method to see how many times each song I've purchased has been authorized? I just authorized a new album I've just bought (authorized to play on my home computer as well as my work). I received an error message saying I've used 5 of the 5 available slots. This better not be correct as I've only authorized a total of two machines (work and home).
Is there anyway to verify this?
Is there anyway to reclaim those missing 3 uses?
I just upgraded to iTunes 6, could this be the cause?
And, where did my authorizations go if I can't get them back?
I'm already contemplating burning a DVD with all of my purchased songs as clean mp3's to avoid losing my investment in my music I've already bought. The fact that I even have to do this shows how hostile this DRM stuff is...

log into your iTMS account / manage it.
If you used all of your 5 authorizations your are allowed to de-authorized all of them once a year without accessing each of your authorized computers.
After that just re-authorize both of computers again.

How many times can I burn a song to CD?
It's been a while, but I read somewhere, that there is a limit to how many times you can burn a song off your Library. I understand the reason for that. I think it said something like 7 times?? I have an iPod, and normally transfer my playlists to it. I change my playlists frequently, so if I were to burn these to CD, I'd have long ago used up my limit.
I have a nice CD player in my Jeep now. I can't hook my iPod to it, so I want to burn some playlists to CD for my Jeep stereo. Do I need to be careful, not to exceed a certain allowance?...or am I just in error, and there is no need to worry?
Was this limit in regards to an entire Album? and single songs in a ever changing playlist is okay?Is there a way to check to see if a song is DRM protected?
I have been reading what I can on the subject, and it appears I can expect the songs I've purchased from iTunes online, like my AC/DC albums, Scorpions Albums, and Zappa, etc. and etc. are going to be DRM protected.
Maybe I should have bought these Albums elsewhere...but...(shrug)

Really, the bulk of my Library is made up of songs from CD's I've imported into my Library. I've looked for some evidence of this DRM protection, and I don't see anything..other than an FBI copy theft warning.
Finally, I guess I am a tad bit confused still. I understand any of my songs DRM protected, if I use them in a playlist, any playlist 7 times.. I will be limited now, to only 7 downloads to a CD. That does cause me to rethink how I wish to make playlists.
Am I right to assume now...any song in my playlists that are not under this DRM grip, I will not have to fear using them in a playlist?
On one hand I understand the reasons for protection...and it has nothing to do with decent folks like us. But what irritates me...is I paid for that music...and I should be able to make CD playlists as often as I want....live and learn.
I suppose I should never invest my money on Albums or songs as downloads over the internet. Just go buy the CD?...right? -

Dell Windows XPThe limit is not by song, it's by playlist. Any playlist containing purchased music can burned up to a maximum of 7 times. Once you reach the max burns for a specific playlist, simply change the order of the playlist by one or two songs & that 7 count will re-set.

How many times have you sent your computer in for repair?
I am on my third repair since I bought the machine in April.
Once for a hinge that creaked loudly when you opened and closed it.
The second times was for the heat and whine as well as a the screen opening button had been worn down to black. (it came back with a new button and the same logic board and the same whine)
Now it is getting service for the whine, the peice of the top case the repair depot bent and a faulty fan.
I feel like they don't want to call it a lemon because it is a 1.83 machine and they will have a hard time selling it as a refurb.
Has anyone else had similar expiriences?I have stripped screw heads too and it pains me to think about it. Thought this was just me. They said I can bring it to a store to have looked at but really I would rather not.
But I've had to send mine in 3 times for the whine. First time they replaced the power inverter and fans (even though I firmly do not believe that was the problem and talked to them at length about where the sound was and the updated logic board). The computer came back even louder. Back it went. This time, it came back "within spec". At this point I'm thinking I never should have sent it in so I use it for a week and the whine just gets louder and higher (although really not much different than originally). So I call Apple and sent it in again thinking at this point, I've already moved all my work so I can send it in as many times as it takes. But this time, it comes back with a new logic board and I have to say the difference is amazing. It is completely silent. I thought I could live with the noise before and that it should be expected and sending it in may cause other problems or maybe it really is within spec but the new logic board is absolutely dead silent and cooler that even the fans turn on less. I feel a lot better now (until Merom was announced today but oh well). -
How many times have you had your screen replaced?
Wow this is getting worse and worse. going on 5 times this last replacement lasted about 4 months.
i need to have mine replaced, but they say i have to pay for it. it broke after less than 6 months. mine broke by the plastic prying away from the screen (where it says "iBook G4") when i opened it. the screen just emits light with no picture, just grey pixels. the apple rep said they don't have a recall out on that so i would have to pay approx $900. my under warrenty ibook that apple won't honor the warrenty for functions fine other wise.

My sister got a Nano for Christmas, and a week later, she can't find it. Has anyone else out there lost their Nano? Should I really buy a device that can be easily lost within a week?

How many times can you burn a protected song?
How many times can you burn a purchased iTMS song onto an audio cd?
I know they say you can only burn a playlist so many times but does that also include the purchased songs? (I hope not)
Does anybody know the official iTMS ruling on this?
-JI believe I read that you are allowed to burn it seven times, but I burn mixes all the time and have never run into a message that I've reached my limit. Honestly, though, if you are—at some point—unable to burn anymore, you can reimport a purchased song from one of the burned CDs.

I don't know what happened. All of a sudden, my settings have been changed, my homepage, and EVERYTHING. No matter how many times I go in and change them again, the SAME pages open up when I start FireFox and I am constantly being asked if I want Yahoo as my start page and default search engine. I click the box 'do not ask me again' and it comes up EVERY TIME. I change things like I don't want history remembered, and when I reload FireFox again, it's back to the way it was BEFORE. EVERY SINGLE TIME. I don't know why this is happening, or how to fix it. What do I do??

On average, how many times do you have to restart ...
Ever since I've been using the E71 (less than a month, a new set), I have to restart it about thrice daily. Mostly, the problem occurs while connecting the phone to the PC (Windows 7) when the USB connection type selector on the phone (which appears when you connect the cable and asks for which mode to connect in) freezes; but some other times, just about any application (including the built-in ones) decides to take a nap and the only way to get it back is turn the set off and then back on again. And as soon as that is done, the app icons are all moved back from the customized folders to the folder "Installations" - very frustrating. I'm afraid of restarting this phone as lots of settings and app icons revert back to the defaults after restarting and I've to go through them again. But at the same time, there seems to be no way to make a stuck USB connection type selector work again without restarting.
Well, from my experience here, I know this particular problem has no solution. (Even if the process is ended using an external app manager, it hangs again on starting the app. This continues until the phone is restarted.) Therefore, I'm not looking for a solution here, although one will be welcome if you've undergone the same and have found a workaround. I just wanna know if you do also have to restart your phone. (I also have one Sony Ericsson and an iPhone; I don't generally need to restart them as long as I don't want to restart. At my current place, however, a Nokia phone is all I can use.)
So, do you have to restart your phone when you don't actually want to? If so, on average how many times a day (or a week)? This will help me determine if the problem lies with the phone or it's me who's doing something differently. Is there something you need to do regularly or often (like connecting the phone to the computer) and that operation generally results in a restart of the phone? Shifting them to the internal memory is not really an option (would leave very little free space over there which would then cause other problems). Besides, if the phone allows you to install the apps on the card, shouldn't they work from there? Yes, they should.
Without the card, there will be no custom apps and the phone would be almost useless (will turn into a basic device used to make calls and send text). To me, this is not an option. Also, I don't see how it would solve the problem automagically after some time.
The card doesn't seem to be faulty. I tried to connect the phone without the card inserted and it got connected alright for two times but the USB mode chooser froze the third time, just the same as with the card inserted. So a new card is probably not going to solve the problem.
Must be something strange happening here. Maybe it's due to the apps installed on the card rather than the internal memory, but I just cannot install all those apps within that limited space.

How many times can I download a purchased movie to my iPhone, so i can delete and re-download each time I want to watch it?
It will depend upon whether you are in a country where films can be re-downloaded (it's not possible to re-download them in all countries, and even where they can be, not all film studios have agreed to it), and if the film remains in the store (film studios occasionally remove them) - if you can re-download it then you can do so as many times as you like.
But it's probably better to keep a copy on a your computer and on a backup so that you can re-sync it to your iPhone as/when you want it.
