How many TVs on one box?

Even though this is one of the FAQs on the main site, the jump tag does not go to the answer. I have 3 boxes and 3 TVs, but want to add two more TVs. What is the best solution? Can I exchange one of the boxes for a Home Media box and have 3 boxes connected to 5 TVs?

The Home Media option won't solve your problem.  It still requires an STB at each set.   The change is that it can stream recordings to any of your other STBs (excluding another DVR).
The only "solution" that would allow fewer boxes requires the RF out of one (or more) of the boxes be split or the A/V outputs be run to the other set.  The reason I put solution in quotes is that the TV without a box is only able to view the same program as the one with the box.  Hope this helps more than it confuses.

  • How many tvs can i sync to one library?

This is a simple question, I know. Is there a limit to how many tvs i can sync to my hypothetical Mac Pro? I'm a very analytical buyer and can't find a confirming statement to satisfy.
If you'd like to dive further: I am constantly trying to design the simplest whole-house media experience. (not financially fit, yet dreamily idealistic). My latest reduction is this: 1 Mac Pro jammed full of iTunes music/movies and eyeTV recordings. An tv/tv/sound system in every desired room(5). And a MacBook to float around. Your thoughts? (if you must burst my bubble, try let me down easy)

Welcome to the  Discussion Forums.
Not sure I can answer your question with 100% certainty, but have likely got some good news for you.
I have 5 tv's and 7 macs from which they feed. Not every tv is linked to every mac indeed it can't be, a single tv can only sync with one itunes library and stream from up to 5. However the itunes library on my mac is our main library and is used by every tv.
Whilst I am certain that each tv can work with up to 5 libraries I have never seen any specifications about how many tv's a single library can support, although I have delved into the text strings buried inside the itunes application and seen error messages which tend to suggest the answer is 5. Clearly only having 5 tv's I'm unable to test my findings.
I have seen a report about someone setting up 40 tv's in a motel from one library, but I have my suspicions that even if true it might not be quite as straight forward as it seems, but who am I to question other peoples claims.
However since you seem to indicate you want to have 5 tv's I am able to confirm that 5 do work.
Although this may be initially good news for you, you may have to give the matter a little more thought. I have set up an gigabit ethernet network to which my mac is directly attached as are 4 wifi networks to enable 3 of the tv's to work wirelessly alongside a number of other wifi devices I have running in our household.
Also whilst I don't actually know, I suspect I have never actually had 5 tv's trying to stream from my library at once, indeed I suspect I have never had more than 3 tv's actually working at once from the same library, although I suppose it would be easy enough to test more.
If you suspect that you may need 5 tv's working from the same library at the same time then you might want to implement syncing to reduce the possible load on your network and your single library, as each tv is capable of syncing with a single library it would be possible to enable syncing on all your tv's.
If you have anymore specific questions about my set up or how it works please feel free to ask, as I have only given you a basic outline of my experience.

  • How many Discs in the box?

Hi there. Perhaps it will sound kind of weird, but I don´t remember how many discs came with the FCS2. Were there 8 or 9? Because I rescently opened my box for reinstallation and found only 8. The one I believe is missing is a Training Tutorial DVD.
If I have lost this Tutorial DVD, is there any way to get it back by purchase or download or anything?
    Thanks

In my academic version I have 9, counting the tutorial disc.
These videos are available online, though, at http://www.apple.com/finalcutstudio/tutorials/. I don't know if this is exactly what's on the disc - I haven't watched it for a while - but these might be a good substitute if you can't find it.

  • How many sidlets on one page?

I am trying to get one page to hold multiple sidlets, so that
I can keep my movie small by having one page that pauses while the
user "clicks on" each sidelet and read description of the features
    there.
Problem is: I successfully added all the sidelets, but when I
    play, none of them work.
Is there a limit to how many sidelets you can put on one
page? I can't use rollovers because they do not "stick," unless
somebody knows a way to make rollovers act like popups that stay
    until you close them.
All hints and suggestions would be graciously appreciated.
    Signed... QuizQueen.

    Welcome to our community, QuizQueen
Are you certain the slidelets aren't functional? I ask,
because until you change it, the timing is a bit off for the
rollover area of a slidelet. You have to mouse over the area and
keep the mouse over the area for a whole second before you will see
the slidelet. In my mind, that's far too long.
Assuming that isn't the case, you might inspect the slide to
see which other objects exist on it. Look for Buttons, Click Boxes
or Text Entry Boxes. Each of these objects will normally pause the
slide until operated on by the user. It could be a situation where
one of these objects is pausing playback before the Slidelet
rollover area has had time to display and become operational.
    Cheers... Rick

  • How many RE1000 on one Router.

How many RE1000 extenters can be attaced to one router ?

    That's incorrect.
Wired access points can use the same SSID and create a wireless roaming network... Good wireless clients should be able to roam seamlessly between access points wired to the same network.
And with the advantage of full bandwidth this solution is far superior to repeaters...

  • How many ipods on one computer?

Clearly new to this music download stuff! My dgtr just got a shuffle, I have an MP3 sansa can we both use itunes to get music? The reason I ask is we heard we can not charge our ipod at my sisters when out of town only one ipod per computer???? This makes no sense clearly people have more then one ipod in some homes so what do we do? Can I plug the ipod shuffle into my sister's computer to charge or download from?
Also well I am here can I use itunes with the sansa MP3 as that would be awesome, although I need clear directions on how to do that.
Thanks so much for your help old mom with new technology is frustrated!!!
    have a great night
    M

You can use as many ipods with one PC as you want, but only have one plugged in at a time.
Here is an article on that. I prefer method 2.
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1495
The Sansa player, you can't load anything onto it from itunes.
Just use Windows Explorer to drop MP3 files onto it. Also, iTunes Store purchases are in AAC format and I don't think will play on a Sansa. So buy mp3s from Amazon for the Sansa.

  • CONNECT TRAINING how many users in one license can enroll?

Hi, I have a regular license of Adobe Connect Name Host 100 Participants, It's work excellent for meetings.
I want to know if I buy one license of CONNECT TRAINING it's going to work in my current license of Adobe Connect , how many students can enroll my training content? need to buy more licenses? I want to use for on demand and live training.
I not a big corporate company it's only myself, want to do something more professional with curriculum, enroll students.
Another Question is about Adobe Presenter is this plug in for power point include in the Connect Training or have to buy apart?
Another question how many disk space have in my meeting room, for recording and library?
    thanks for your help.

    Martin,
Purchasing Concurrent Learner licenses will add the Training module to your account, unless you are on a monthly account through adobe.com, where the training module is not available.
The licensing for the Training module is for concurrent access to training content. 1 license means that one person can access training at any given time. You can enroll 15,000 people (random number, pick whatever value you want) in your training, but those individuals have limited access to the training based on the concurrent user load. If you want a plain English description of the licensing for Connect, you can find it here: Setting the Record Straight on Adobe Connect Licensing | RealEyes Media
Presenter is a separate license and is not included with the Training module.
Connect doesn't limit disk space. If on a hosted account, I believe there is 5 GB to start but more is added as needed. If on a licensed deployment, you are only limited to the amount of disk space allocated to your Connect server.

  • How many device can one sync with iPhone? I own a Mac Pro and an iMac desktop. Can I sync with both machines?

How Many devices can I sync with my iPhone?  I own a Mac PRO and an iMAC.  Depends on where I am, I will plug my iPhone to either of the machines. I haven't sync with either machine yet.

    Dah•veed wrote:
Please explain how one would accomplish that feat.
There's not much to explain. When a device is connected, you see the row of different categories across the top: Summary, Info, Apps, Tones, Music, Movies, TV Shows, Podcasts, Books, and Photos. For example, it is perfectly safe to sync one iOS device to the Music category on Computer A and no other computer, and the same device to Photos on Computer B and no other computer.
You might be confusing what I'm saying with one iOS device enabling sync to the Music library on multiple computers. That is a huge no-no and will result in the disaster being suggested. But I am not talking about that, I'm talking about the opposite arrangement. What I am describing preserves category exclusivity. It turns out that exclusivity at the category level, not the computer level, is what really matters.
As long as a device is synced to a given category on only one computer, it doesn't matter which computer it is or whether that computer is different than the ones synced to on other categories. The instant a given category is enabled for syncing on more than on computer, that is where the trouble starts.
    KiltedTim wrote:
Trying to do so is asking for trouble. Don't do it. Move the content you need to one machine and sync only with that machine. If you don't, you'll be back here asking how to fix the mess and recover all the stuff you lost...
I will agree that it is something you should only do mindfully. But if you do make sure each category is syncing to only one device, there will be no data loss and no mess.

  • How many iphones on one itune account?

    Hello,
I would like to know how many iphones, ipads, ipods or the mix of all three can I put on one itune account?
    Thanks

You can sync as many devices as you want to the same itunes account, there is no limit. You can have the same content on each device or different content, the choice is yours. Itunes will keep everything straight, by device, upon subsequent syncs.

  • How many licenses does one upgrade of Photoshop CS6 cover?

I purchased Photoshop CS5 through the education discount.  I am no longer eligable for that discount but would like to upgrade to CS6.  Is it possible to upgrade an educational license, and, if so, how many computers can I upgrade to CS6 on?  I have 6 copmuters I would like to update.

You can purchase one upgrade for Creative Suite 6 which will allow you to install on up to two computers.  These installations should be used by the same individual however.  If you are looking for additional installations then you will need to purchase full version licenses.  You can find more details regarding the End User License Agreement at http://www.adobe.com/products/eulas/#desktop.

  • How many users on one T1

Hello, this is likely a simple question for anyone but
me...but I haven't seen a clear answer after an hour of searching
    documentation.
I am looking to set up a FMS that will be connected to a T1
line. If during a live webcast the media encoder is set to upload
the stream at about 450kbps, how many simultaneous users can we
expect to serve at the maximum?
    Thank you so much!
    Rob

QoS means Quality of Service.  Basically it reorders or delays packets depending on priority, so that time-sensitive packets always go first, and unimportant packets like bittorrent can be delayed until there is no other traffic being sent.  What I specifally was suggesting here is that your use it to lower the priority of bittorrent traffic, so that you can run it all the time but it only uses spare bandwidth that isn't being used by any other service.
The only catch most routers can only do QoS on inbound connections which is mainly helps latency and not download speeds.  However, if your router is running linux it may have that ability.  Also look for the 'tc' utility or maybe you can install trickle.
This thread has little bit more info.
