How many VLANs supported via MACsec VLAN-trunk link?

Hi,
Any one know how many VLANs maximum allowed across a MACsec link between two C6500 with Sup2Ts or between two N7K respectively?
As far as I know, C3750X has limitation of 8 VLANs, according to
•Cisco TrustSec enforcement is supported only on up to eight VLANs on a VLAN-trunk link. If there are more than eight VLANs configured on a VLAN-trunk link and Cisco TrustSec enforcement is enabled on those VLANs, the switch ports on those VLAN-trunk links will be error-disabled.

Thanks,

  • How many clients support access points 1602, 2602, 3602?

Hi! How many clients support access point 1602, 2602, 3602. I have found for example that the 1602 supports 32 ClientLink clients and max 128 clients, APs 2602, 3602 supports 128 ClientLink clients and max 200 clients. But is it really? And can we say for example that the AP 2602 will withstand max 200 clients?

The reason the answer varies so much, is because there are so many variables (this is also why the value ranges so much from one manufacture to the next).  When determining the answer you are looking for you need to consider the following factors and likely more:
AP model and the features it supports
single, dual, or tri radio AP
    20, 40, or 80Mhz wide channels
Device type (b/g, b/g/n, a/b/g/n, a/b/g/n/ac, spatial stream support, and channel width support)
    Security/QOS method(s) employed
    Average distance from the AP
    Obstructions between devices and radios
Number of competing radios for the same channel
    Data rates configuration
    Rogue detection/mitigation configuration
Surrounding client density not just the area of concern client density
    Noise floor levels
Application types/per user network load (is it heavy like YouTube traffic or a drone on the network like Pandora)
Network latency on the switching side - including the internet circuit
Application of per SSID, per user, and or per application rate limiting
The list continues, but I think you get the idea
I have personally seen 80 devices on a 5Ghz radio of a 3500 access point with several other access points and at least 200 other clients in the area and it was working well.  That being said I would never design to expect that many on a single radio, but I think it is better said that you can safely design for 20-30 clients per 2.4Ghz radio and 25-40 clients per 5Ghz radio.
The default statement of 20-25 per AP and similar low expectation statements concerning Cisco wireless have been around for many years.  It is now 2014.  About 65% of clients support 5Ghz, ~9% support AC (already), ~90% support some form of N, and ~0.01% support B only.  The landscape of wireless is changing fast making questions like this one have ever changing answers.
    I hope this helps :).

  • Cores,  how many are supported by After FX CS3 on win vista?

    Hi folks,
do you know how many cores are supported by after fx CS3?
I am able to use a dual xeon quadcore workstation with 8 cores and 24 GB Ram for my diploma, but I don't know if this hardware is supported by CS3?
It is the Xeon 5355 Quad Core 2,67 Ghz on dual 771 socket mainboard from Tyan. The OS is Win Vista Premium 64bit.
Does anyone of you have further information if this is doable?
    Thanks a lot in advance,
    Roman

Each instance of AE can only access a maximum of 4 GB of RAM (on Vista64). With the "Render multiple frames simultaneously" option in the preferences, AE CS3 and later can start several hidden copies of itself in the background, which can each address that maxmium amount of RAM, so your machine would ideally use 5 processor cores (5 x 4 = 20 GB and leave 4 GB for the OS.)
In CS4 you can set the number of cores to use, in CS3 you have to do it via a text file, detailed in this post:

PS. On OS X, each instance can address 3.5 GB and on Windows XP and Windows Vista 2 GB (or 3 GB if you are adventurous:

  • How many Meraki APs per subnet/vlan

I am trying to cover a 90-story building.  Voice is not a requirement, but I would like to be able to seamlessly roam across the infrastructure.  How large can I build a flat network, and if I need to cross a threshold, what do I have to do to enable Layer 3 roaming?

The only reason I can thing of why that "soft limit" of 60 Cisco AP's per VLAN exists is the default logging configuration of the AP's. This is the broadcast address so every other AP receives all those messages also, once you configure an syslog destination that is no longer the case. I don't have much experience with Meraki, but I think that they don't work with an external syslog server at all.
I hope that all the other devices are being segment it on a per floor basis? If not, please investigate if you can segment at least some floors together with there own set of "local" VLAN's. You don't want network traffic being switched in "global" VLAN's all throughout the building on a scale like that.

  • How many clients support by Cisco One Light Weight AP1262?

    Hi Friends,
Recently, our company wireless AP 1262 connected more than 40+ clients, and sometimes the wireless access speed is too slow.  those clients are only for MES data transfer, the date no more than 10K of each stations.
So I'd like to know if the one AP can support the network traffic if whole testers transfer the data to Database via this wireless AP1262?
and the WLC no clients roaming option for which clients can connect to another AP around.
I have checked the WLC and AP configuration. no option for clients roaming to another APs, do you know how to configure this AP's Clients move to another APs?
If we setup the new APs in the location, does the clients will be auto connect to this new AP?

  • How many AP supported in each branch office-Flex7500

                       Hi,
From the document, it said only 50 AP supported in each branch for 7500. My case is the HQ has about 100 AP and other BO has less than 10 for each. I am planning to deploy 7500 in the DC and all the AP are in flexconnect mode. But since the limitation of the AP number for each branch office, I can not deploy 7500 in DC to manage the HQ office AP at all. Any idea?

That is for FlexConnect groups. You can have as many FlexConnect APs as you want. You would just have to use multiple FlexConnect Groups if you require using FlexConnect Groups. This is really only used if your using 802.1x and have multiple radius servers.

  • Photostream screensaver - How many photos supported?

I'm curious if a Photostream with just over 900 images would be fully supported on my Apple TV 3rd Gen? I tried other means of screensavers and could never really get many pictures in the loop. It seemed they repeated fairly frequently. I'm hoping the Photostream option is better.
    Anyone know? Thanks!

Photos are cached for the screensaver and there is a limited amount of space reserved for this. The amount may vary based on factors like resolution etc but it seems to be around 100.

  • How many VRFs support a SUP7E

    Hello,
I have a customer that wants to change his CORE devices, he is concerned about the VRFs instances that he can configure, I know that in the SUP2T from the 6500 supports 8,192 VRFs:
MPLS in hardware to enable use of Layer 3 VPNs and EoMPLS tunneling. Up to 8192 VRFs with a total of up to 256K* forwarding entries per system.
    According to the next link:
    http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/products/collateral/interfaces-modules/catalyst-6500-series-supervisor-engine-2t/data_sheet_c78-648214.html
I want to make a comparison between a 6500 with SUP2T and a 4500 with sUP7E but I can't find anything about the VRFs instances in the SUP7E.
Could anyone please help me answering that question???
    Thanks a lot

This is the problem. The customer has 2 4507 with SUP-V I think and he want to upgrade. He asked me about one 6509 with SUP2T but I suggested to upgrade to 4507R+E with SUP7E and VSS, I think that the budget of the customer is low...
He needs at least 4 modules of 48 ports so he can receive all their customers. Regarding SUP7 vs SUP8 the main difference is that the SUP8 supports WLC in the module, and has more switching capacity (928 Gbps vs 848 Gbps of the SUP7).
    Thanks again

    Apfelwurm,
I believe that this is the proper place for this question, as it appears to be specific to the iOS version of Numbers. Helpers in the OS X iWork forum are not likely to know much about the iOS version.

In my lab I have three switch (2950 but it is the same with 2960 3750 etc).
Switch 1 is connected by trunk to switch 2 and switch 2 is connected by trunk to switch 3.

Thanks a lot for you help

    Hi lnrdnl78d,
so will give this ago not quite sure how a uploaded images looks,
i have mocked up what i have understood from your explanation so feel free to correct me if i have got this wrong :)
however assuming in this situation that VTP is enabled (which i know you have disabled in yours, but hoping this helps)
in this situation client 1 sends a broadcast to client two.
with VTP pruning enable switch 2 will learn that switch 4 has no ports connected to VLAN 2
so the trunk link to Switch 4 will have VLAN 2 pruned from the trunk link
but   2 and 3 will receive the broadcast and switch 3 will be the only one to forward it out the connected port
from my understanding this is what you have configured in your lab apart from switch 4 but added it to fit the example
does this help demonstrate it at all or am i way off ?

  • Where can i get info that how many languages suppo...

Where can i get info that how many languages supported by default in Nokia phone?
If i buy it in UK,how?
    Many thanks!
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

if you buy it in the UK, you would expect it to support your region's main languages or for Europe. for example, i am in asia-pacific region (australia) so the languages i have available to me are English, Pilipino, Tieng Viet and im guessing Japanase/chinese. so how many languages it supports depends on your region of course.
to check what languages are in your phone, goto Settings > PHone > Lanuage Settings> Phone Language (this is for S40 devices, no idea how to check in S60)
    i hope this helps
