How many websites hosted?

There doesn't seem to be a clear explanation of this anywhere, so here is my question:
I am a Creative Cloud member, so my understanding is that I have 5 free websites hosted in the BC basics.  If I upgrade BC to say, webCommerce, how many websites will be working within that WebCommerce platform?  If I want to add more websites, how do I do that?
Please don't link me to the webpage advertising this stuff, as I have already looked high and low to no avail, unless you can link me to somewhere that answers my specific question.
Thanks in advance for any feedback.

Let's take a step back. Each site plan is on a per site basis.
You have five free basic sites with creative cloud membership. If you upgrade a site to the webCommerce package you would pay the standard rate of $38.88 per month (US Pricing) for one website. Want a second website on the webCommerce package? Then you would pay another $S38.88 for that site and so on. If you upgrade a Creative Cloud site to a paid site that site will then again become available for another free site.
Hope that makes more sense.

  • How many websites can i host with a webCommerce plan?

I'm wondering how many websites I can host if I have a webCommerce plan? I see that it says 3 users, does that mean website essentially? I currently use Dreamhost and they allow me to host an extremely large number of websites for a low yearly price. I do want to be able to incorporate eCommece with Adobe Muse so the webCommerce sounds inticing but it's hard to justify without being able to host a wide varity of sites since the webCommerce plan is almost 5x's at much than Dreamhost.
If the answer is yes only 3 websites unless you pay more per site, then does that allow you to have sub-domains off of a website? For example if I had 3 sites total and one of them is www.bubslove.com - can I host www.party.bubslove.com without it taking up 1 user?
    Thank you

    Hi,
First off, aside from being a registrar, through its parent company New Dream Network, Dreamhost just offers hosting. A place on a server to store the website(s) you build from Scratch.
Business Catalyst offers a BaaS model, where all the struggle of developing an effective business platform, complete with site analytics, content management, social media sharing, phone and tablet support, sftp & file management, hosted e-mail accounts, dynamic menu builders, blogging engine, customer database, e-mail marketing, forums, e-commerce platforms, business reporting, event booking and webapps is turned into a process as easy as carrying out a few clicks.
Now, the 3 users you mentioned are actually the number of administrator accounts offered for a single BC account.
You could host multiple websites under a single bc account, as long as you keep some things in mind:
    - You can add multiple domains to a BC account, each one pointing to a separate page. You can add as many sub-domains as you like
    - Each "separate site" can be customized in any way you like, using separate templates and stylesheets and with custom templates for modules
    - System messages, invoices, the shopping cart, system e-mails, will each share a single template (though with some javascript some of these can also be adapted)
    - There will only be a single sitemap available
A significant advantage of this scenario would be to have a single CRM database for all the websites involved! Now, depending on the complexity of the sites involved this "multiple-sites-under-one-account" strategy can either be a piece of cake (a few microsites) or an elaborate adventure ( when talking about e-commerce, if you want customized system e-mails and a separate checkout experience for each site)
To conclude, the base of starting this comparison between Dreamhost and Business Catalyst is not justified. For whatever you would pay at Dreamhost, you'd only get storage. You'll add development & support costs To that. With BC's e-Commerce plan you get a complete business setup

  • How many websites are allowed?

    Hi,
1.question: How many websites creations are allowed  with the "webmarketing" solutions from Business Catalyst
2.question: it's a global membership for every websites created with my BC account or do I need to pay 18 dollars per month for "every single" website created?
They say it replace the 5+ system...I guess it's the 5 website that come with adobe creative cloud membership, but what happen when we used all 5 ?
    Thanks

    Hi,
    1) You can create as many trials site as you require.  The amount of sites you take live is up to you as you'll be billed for them individually.
    2) Again you'll be billed for each live site individually.  If you have a creative cloud subscription you are given 5 "webBasic" sites that you can have hosted within BC as part of your membership.  If needing to upgrade the site plan you'll need to pay for each individual site plan upgrade.
    More details: http://forums.adobe.com/docs/DOC-2152
5+ system replace means that BC offers an "all in one" solution to a CMS that also offers key features (eCommerce, email marketing, forums, etc) that are usually separate in many other system that you would need to somehow integrate.  BC helps rid of all that by allowing you to deal with just one system for most of your requirements.
    Hope this helps!

  • How many website can I create with iWeb?

How many different webpages can I create with iWeb? I just created a site to show friends a slide show from a recent trip, but I need to create another webpage that will have video on it. It would be a totally different subject matter. I do have a .MAC account and not sure if I need to do anything with that so I can have more webpages.
I guess what I am saying is that I am going to need different URL's for the webpages I am going to need to create and want to know how many you can have or create using iWeb.

You can have multiple websites, each with multiple pages depending on the need. To make managing multiple sites easier, take a look at iWebSites. The limiting factor, as was pointed out, is the available space on your iDisk. I use iWebSites to manage multiple sites.. It lets me create multiple sites and multiple domain files.
If you have multiple sites in one domain file here's the workflow I used to split them into individual site files with iWebSites. Be sure to make a backup copy of your Domain.sites files before starting the splitting process.
This lets me edit several sites and only republish the one I want.

  • How many websites?

I have been looking into Adobe BC as a possible hosting solution. I plan on building an ecommerce website for my parents and their business. I understand that the BC webcommerce solution is the $38.88/month, does this allow me to create more than just one ecommerce website? The reason I ask this is I may also look into making a commerce website for my father in law. If my parents and him both needed commerce websites and both paid half the subscription cost of the BC webcommerce price would this be allowed by Adobe? Or would this mean that both my parents and father in law would need to each pay for their own BC webcommerce subscription so that they can each have their own website? I essentially am doing this for free for them while being able to provide very good software, functionality and web design that is modern and clean, which is what many other hosting solutions absolutely do not provide! Thanks for your help!
    Bren

Yea quite a bummer when that happened, but stuff happens and ya move on. Yea we actually have been selling them through bow shops who then sell in house to customers, we want to get into selling them directly to our customers. They do have a credit card processor that they are paying for currently, I'm just worried people will access the website see our product and want to purchase from our website rather than having to call it in, no one has patience anymore ha. I've also thought about building the free sites then just including paypal button links so that they can be purchased but from what you all have said, it sounds like that wouldn't work due to no SSL etc.

  • How Many WebSItes can I create

I already created a web site but I´d like to create a new one. Is this possible without erasing the first one? How many sites can I create?

Welcome to the Apple Discussions. Yes. Create a new site in iWeb and rename it to whatever works best. When you publish the URL will be: http://web.me.com/YourMMe_Account_Name/SiteName/
You can have as many sites as you have room form. I have over 85 individual sites in my MMe account.

  • How many $Target/Host or $Target/Host/Host ... etc do you need to go

    Hello
Can someone please help me with the following question as I am learning authoring at the moment, thanks
I see from Brian videos that some times you need to use just $Target/Property... and other times $Target/Host/Property...
or even $Target/Host/Host/Property... and so on.
I get the idea (or at least I think I do), in as much as the further you are away from the Host (e.g. the deeper down embedded in the XML) you have to step back up using Host or Host/Host etc. a bit like when transversing a file system using ..\.. or ..\..\..
So for a registry discovery you would say $Target/Host/Property... e.g. use Host one time.
    My question is.
is this always the case for a discovery?
How do I know when I should use $Target/Property and when to use $Target/Host and $Target/Host/Host etc.. is there any easy well to tell?
    Thank you

  • How many websites can I publish using iWeb?

There must be a limit? How can I find out how much of my allocation I'm using?

I use iWebSites to manage over 75 individual sites. It lets me create multiple sites and multiple domain files.
If you have multiple sites in one domain file here's the workflow I used to split them into individual site files with iWebSites. Be sure to make a backup copy of your original Domain.sites files before starting the splitting process and move it to another location on your HD until you're satisfied the separation process is completed and what you want.
This lets me edit several sites and only republish the one I want.
If you don't use domain names for each of your sites you must remember that the last published site (when using separate domain files for each site) will be the default site when using the default URL for you MMe account: http://web.me.com/YourMMeAccount/.
The specific URL to each of your sites would be http://web.me.com/YourMMe_Account/SiteName.
If you purchase a domain name(s) you can have only one site forwarded to using the CNAME method. The others will require the standard URL forwarding and you can have as many as you've purchased.

  • How many websites can you have under one mobile me account?

I already have a mobile me account with one website that is currently published. I was wanting to make another website under the same account. Is this possible to make two websites on the same account?
    Thanks

Just make sure that you give them all a different name in iWeb when you create them or they will cancel each other out when you publish them.
You cannot give sites the same name in the first place.
If you do, iWeb will revert to the one it had before if you rename a site.
Found out when I gave sites the same name but published them to different servers.
The sitename has to be unique in the domainfile.
Solution is/was to duplicate the domainfiles and edit each separately.

  • How many websites can I build with one account

I am looking at setting up a BC account for one of my customers but they need two websites. Can I build these on the one account and would it cost any more to do the second website?
    Jim.

You can have a partner account, for sites you pay for each site per month/year depending on the plan you choose for each.

  • My back button is grayed out no matter how many websites I goto. it won't let me go back. How do I get this feature back. Tried holding the button but nothing works.

not sure what else to tell you

Will Alt+arrowLeft go back, and Alt+arrowRight go forward ? Just curious because never asked before -- but wouldn't be much good without the clue that the toolbar arrows provide. I use the mouse back/forward buttons or the keyboard shortcuts, but rely on the what the back/forward toolbar buttons show.
See these two, try everything you can before renaming places.sqlite, such as the corrupt local store, backing up and restoring bookmarks, etc. -- because you do not want to lose your history by deleting or renaming places.sqlite. I have never had to delete places.sqlite but I did delete history once when I thought they wouldn't actually delete all your history from a tool bar button would they (that is a bit more protected now, at least by default).
