HOW MAT. GRP PLAY A ROLE IN AUTO. ACCTT DETER. ?

Dear All ,
                      User had made a P.o with a acct assign = K , now when he is doing MIGO then an error has occured that -->
" acct det not possible for 1000 kbs 0001 is not possible " but after this user had changed mat. group in P.O & hence GR posted properly.so i need to know thta how mat. grp play a role in posting the GRN DOUMENT.

hi,
Non valuated - means the material has no value in our company, so you can have stock of material which can be used for particular purpose or you have customer stock which you have to use in the product or you get material from customer to do some service on it.
all can be defined as Non valuated
Below are typical examples for each:
Non-Valuated
1) Customer/vendor stock at our premises.
2) Low value items (ones where you would like to track the quantity but not the value) - maybe computer peripherals like keyboard and mouse.
or
Non-Valuated, you do not want any value to assign for valuation, and for that case we will not maintain any Accounting view for Non-Valuated Type..
and when procuring Non-Valuated material, you need to provide Account assignment and the material deemed to be consumed for that Account assignment ..
