My son was on a school trip to a beach to tidy up rubbish- the weather was relentless rain and his supposedly waterproof jacket was soaked through by the end of a couple of hours exposed to the elements. Unfortunately his iphone was in the jacket pocket and also got damp. He was still able to use the phone to contact me through phoning and text. He noticed though that parts of the screen were lighter in colour and the sound was muffled. Once we got home, the sound was back to normal, but he couldn't use the home button. I put the phone in a sealed bag of rice, and set it under a radiator. After about 4 hours we looked at it again (during this time the phone had not been turned off, though my son thought it had been) and the phone was behaving as though the home button was being pushed in as siri kept coming on. We turned off the phone, and it is currently bag in the rice bag in the hotpress. Any thoughts as to how much potential damage has been done?

Well, since Apple doesn't repair iPhones, they replace them, it really doesn't matter... The damage is total. That's like asking how pregnant a woman is... If she's pregnant, she is 100% pregnant.

How the GR has been done

Hello SAP Gurus,
I have two queries -
1. For one Purchase order when I am checking the GR, in MIGO screen it is showing that the GR has been created by some strange name and that is not an user ID or name. I think that GR is done by some batch job. My doubt is how to confirm who has done the Goods receipt.
2. The same case with the inspection lot for the same PO, so how to confirm from where the created by value is coming.

Hi Shayan,
It is weird that you don't find the job if you think it was a background job. Maybe you haven't selected the start time long enough before the time stamp on the movement?
Another idea is to try to identify the pgm that posted the movement using trs ST03. Choose "Business Transaction Analysis" under "Detailed Analysis" on the left side, limit the time interval (I think you shall take some time before the time stamp here too) and the user ID, but not the transaction code, since the trs code that you see in MIGO can be just placed there by the processing pgm (e.g. BAPI_GOODSMOVEMENT_CREATE) without this trs being actually called.

I would like to know how much time is spent preparing or completing Adobe forms for time keeping purposes. Is there any record of this in the individual document metadata, or anywhere?

I don't believe that's something that gets tracked in your Acrobat.com online account. There are free time-tracking utilities, though. I did a quick Google search and found a number of them.

IPhone screen turned white- looks like screen damage but no damage has been done

I turned my phone off because my Whatsapp was being weird. And when I went to turn my phone back on my screen was white/grey with a couple of faded vertical lines. The corners of the screen look darker and it looks like screen damage. The phone is still on just the screen isnt working, I have tried restarting but a number of times but this hasnt worked. Had loads of problems with my iPhone, anyone had anything similar happen?

Give it a couple of gentle "spanks" across the back of it. If this doesn't solve it, back up and restore via iTunes. If the problem continues, restore as a new device and test. If the problem is solved, there is some kind of corruption in your backup file or maybe it's one of your apps causing problems. If it continues, take it to an Apple Store for evaluation of a possible hardware problem.

If you don't have a cellular data plan, then why are you expecting that you will have an active internet connection unless you are connected to wi-fi?
iMessages require either wi-fi or a cellular data connection.

If the GR is done with respect to Inbound delivery then the inbound delivery number will be in material document if I remember it correctly.

How can we know in classic scenario after confirmation, whether confirmation has been done in EBP or in R/3.

Using Web GUI (ITS or Portal), if you look at the SC history (or PO history) in table mode, if column where you find SC number as no value for confirmation (confirmation with SRM number range), this means PO was confirmed directly in R/3 with a Goods Receipt.
Using SAP GUI, if confirmation was done in SRM purchasing document exists in CRMD_ORDERADM_H for PROCESS_TYPE = 'CONF',

There is no specific customizing to allow SRM confirmation: just give correct role to users in order access to confirmation transactions (authorization object BBP_PD_CNF ). Check with roles EMPLOYEE* or PURCHASER*.

How to find out if GR has been done

Hi,
We are iplementing SRM 4.0, extended classic scenario.
We have a requirement of sending out mails(reminders) to users to perform goods receipt (confirmations). My question is if I have the PO number and the item GUID for that PO, how can I find out whether Goods Receipt has been done for that particular line item of the PO. Is there any function module which will help?

As a starting point, you could use FM BBP_PD_PO_GETDETAIL and BBP_PD_CONF_GETDETAIL.
All data are stored in tables displayed in transaction bbp_pd.

From ARD Client, how can I tell what has been done on my machine?

I am in a workgroup that is managed by ARD. I am not an administrator, but I'd like to get an idea of what has been done on my machine by the admin through ARD. It doesn't have to be too specific or real-time, but I'd like to get some idea. For instance, were there reports run on my application usage? Was there software installed? I'm really just fascinated by automation and software used to increase efficiency. I was thinking there would be a way to monitor incoming and outgoing requests or something, but that might not be the answer in this case. So how can I figure out what ARD admin is doing on my machine?

To answer what was asked in the subject of your question... ARD Client will not tell you anything. It is just the doorway.
There may be logs, but those would not be accessible from a non-admin account.

"ICC" stands for "International Color Consortium," an open, vendor-neutral color management system which functions transparently across all operating systems and software packages. Basically, this means that when you create an image in Photoshop with an ICC profile in it, and you print that image using the ICC profile supplied with your printer (usually with a specific paper stock) then you get the color you expect. This of course, assumes that your monitor is also calibrated and has its own ICC profile, so you're reasonably confident that what you see on screen is accurately depicting the color image as well.
If you're using Photoshop in a design or creative suite, then fire up Bridge, and set Edit>Color Settings for all your Adobe applications. If you only have Photoshop and not a design or creative suite, then in Photoshop go to Edit>Color Settings. This might send you to the manual, or to reading up on color management for more understanding. But if you want your prints to look like the original, this is the road you should probably travel.
BTW, not all printer drivers use ICC profiles. I don't have any experience with the Brother J315, but I'm sure you can find out whether it does by reading the documentation. Good luck!

How to find out the PO line items for which no GRN has been done

Dear Friends,
I need a report which will show all the fully open PO items for which no GRN has been done.
In ME2N when I give the selection parameter "open goods receipt" then it shows all the line items with partially & fully open. But my requirement is to get a report of only fully open items.

How to Close PO If no GI and GR has been done?

I need to close a PO for which no GR and GI has been done. Only posting done for that PO is Delivery Note (PO History Catagory L) for qty equal to PO order qty. When I tried to check DCI(delivery completed) indicator, its not allowing me and throwing error "PO still contain faulty item". Or do we cannot close these types of PO without doing GR ?

As per your thread I understand that your PO history has only Delivery note number.
Hence go to VL02N, select the line item & click on the delete button to delete the delivery.
Once its done, set the delivery completed ind in PO item details & save the document.

Please read this whole message before doing anything.
This procedure is a test, not a solution. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.
Step 1
The purpose of this step is to determine whether the problem is localized to your user account.
Enable guest logins* and log in as Guest. Don't use the Safari-only “Guest User” login created by “Find My Mac.”
While logged in as Guest, you won’t have access to any of your documents or settings. Applications will behave as if you were running them for the first time. Don’t be alarmed by this behavior; it’s normal. If you need any passwords or other personal data in order to complete the test, memorize, print, or write them down before you begin.
Test while logged in as Guest. Same problem?
After testing, log out of the guest account and, in your own account, disable it if you wish. Any files you created in the guest account will be deleted automatically when you log out of it.
*Note: If you’ve activated “Find My Mac” or FileVault, then you can’t enable the Guest account. The “Guest User” login created by “Find My Mac” is not the same. Create a new account in which to test, and delete it, including its home folder, after testing.
Step 2
The purpose of this step is to determine whether the problem is caused by third-party system modifications that load automatically at startup or login, by a peripheral device, by a font conflict, or by corruption of the file system or of certain system caches.
Please take this step regardless of the results of Step 1.
Disconnect all wired peripherals except those needed for the test, and remove all aftermarket expansion cards, if applicable. Start up in safe mode and log in to the account with the problem. You must hold down the shift key twice: once when you turn on the computer, and again when you log in.
Note: If FileVault is enabled, or if a firmware password is set, or if the startup volume is a software RAID, you can’t do this. Ask for further instructions.
Safe mode is much slower to start up and run than normal, with limited graphics performance, and some things won’t work at all, including sound output and Wi-Fi on certain models. The next normal startup may also be somewhat slow.
The login screen appears even if you usually log in automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin.
Test while in safe mode. Same problem?
After testing, restart as usual (not in safe mode) and verify that you still have the problem. Post the results of Steps 1 and 2.
