The black plastic hinge cover on my Macbook Pro 13" Early 2011 is cracked. How much does it cost to get it replaced at and Apple Store? Is it cheaper if I provide the new hinge cover? (they're on Amazon). Don't want to do it myself as you need to disconnect the screen, HDD, webcam, etc...

Hi! I'm sorry if this doesn't make much sense, but I'll do my best to explain. So I've had my laptop for a long time, so it's getting all cracked along the edges. Normally, I'd think it's fine, since it's not really causing a problem, but unfortunately the casing around the screen is starting to fall apart, mainly at the lower right corner of my screen. There is a crack in the part (near the fan) that connects the bottom half of my laptop (the keyboard and battery) to the top half of my laptop (the screen). The screen of my laptop works perfectly fine, as does every other part of the computer, so I just want to get the exterior replaced. How much will that cost? Thanks!

If only the screen is involved, the cost is $150. If the entire phone needs to be replaced, it's about another $125.

The glass is part number 922-9795 and dvwarehouse sells it. So that might give you an estimate of the minimum cost for replacement (unless you do it yourself).

There are independent iPad repair services that may be able to replace the screen for less. Do a web search for "ipad repair". You can also look for parts and instructions and do the repair yourself.
