I wouldn't pay $199 to get the screen replaced. That doesnt justify the cost of the phone. A 4s can be bought for nearly the same price used and you still run the risk of breaking it again.
Go to a local repair shop in your area and they could do it for under $70 and do a professional job about it.

My boyfriend spilled beer on my laptop quite some time ago. I haven't been able to go into the Apple store to get it checked out because I've been so busy. A few of the keys don't work and the backlight (where the beer was spilled) is very dim, other than that it still works perfectly fine. I read online somewhere that you shouldn't turn it on at all until it's been checked out but I've been using it perfectly fine just with these annoying faults. How much will it cost me to have it repaired? In GBP, because I live in the UK.

Went to the Apple store (like you suggested) and it's only going to cost me £135 to repair which I'm so happy about. He said only the top case is damaged but the liquid didn't manage to get all the way inside my computer so it's great news...we would've been forking out hundreds if the liquid had gotten in deeper!

im going to take my phone to the genius' down at apple but just in case, how much is a home button repair these days? My phone is under 12 month warranty still but you know how it is... Iike to be prepared....

Apple currently does not repair iPhones other than battery replacement and (sometimes) touchscreens. The phone will be replaced (usually with a refurb).
If they feel it's a warranty related problem, the replacement is free (assuming the phone is registered to you).
If due to abuse, the out of warranty replacement is $225 in the USA.

I dont know what to do!!! I pulled out my headphones and then saw that my sound was not working correctly. I was horrified to find a piece of the headphone never came out. I have heard how much it costs to repair and the other methods are not working.

Well, what other methods have you tried that didn't work? Frankly, your post reads as a hoax, but I have some extra time on my hands, and an idea. Make an appointment with the Apple Genius at your local Apple store. You could also bring your MBP to an AASP. Regardless, either one should be able to remove the bottom cover, and use a plastic thingy (dang, what is that tool called?) to push out the offending bit.
