but in a "brown box" so no bits and pieces just unit for unit exchange
They will know of iPhone history from their systems but always

iPhoto on the iPad and iPhoto on the Mac are completely different programs. The Mac version cannot run on the iPad, because the operating systems and the processors are different. Don't expect, that iPhoto on the iPad will be able to do the same things as your iPhoto for Mac, pr that you can keep the two iPhoto libraries in sync.

I understand what that's like, believe me. And adding problems with an Apple product really adds insult to injury. Trust me, calling them when the lines are open will be really good. They're very nice, and from my own experience they've always found a solution for me. When you're frenzied it's sometimes nice to talk to a person instead of fill out a form. If you bought the boxed set of Logic Studio 2.0 which includes LP9, then you cannot download it. You must use the disks that came as part of the boxed set... to install from.
If you bought the App Store version of Logic Pro 9 then go to the Mac App Store App, Sign into the Store using the same Apple ID you used to purchase LP originally, look under the Purchase Tab and you shouldl find LP9 ready and waiting for you to download and install.
