How much is the grand total of all the packages arch supports?

The title says it all. Estimated, how many gigs of pkgs is their on the i686 repo, and x86_64 repo.
I was thinking of making a "reserve" of packages on a dedicated package machine. All packages would be downloaded/updated on the machine, when the internet connection is idle. When needed for my main computer to upgrade, it would just grab it from that machine at a blazing fast speed.

Woh.. ur saying u need like 3 DVD's to contain Arch? isnt that like 'larger than Debian'? nice..
How is that larger than Debian ? Last I knew the number of DVDs needed for Debian was 10+ or something like that...
I remember Etch was shipped with 3 DVDs . Lenny is shipped with 5 DVDs with the last one sized at 1.2 GB .
We should remember that *-debug packages are huge in size . I came from Debian Sid(unstable) to Arch and I honestly think that Arch has a wider selection of packages in its repositories . The odd package you wouldn't find in the repos can be easily found in the AUR or built from scratch .

  • How much is the single dreamweaver in total?

If I buy the single App plan with prepaid $239.88/year for dreamweaver cc, do I need to pay the next year? How much is the total of it?

You would need to continue paying annually, at whatever rate Adobe sets for the year, or switch to a month-to-month plan to continue using the program past the initial 12 months.
As Nancy mentions, CS6 is the only version available from Adobe on a Perpetual License where you pay once and have the program "forever". Of course that's barring any software/hardware conflict as you upgrade your systems in the future that could potentially kill the program. As noted, there are no updates coming out for that version any longer.
There hasn't been any word that I've seen on exactly how long CS6 will remain available from Adobe. Chances are relatively good it will go the way of the dinosaurs sooner rather than later though, leaving the subscription as the only way to get Adobe apps.

  • How much cost the module BI?

    Hello:
I only speak a bit english so, I hope that you can understand me.
My boss is interesting in the functions of BI. He saw other modules that are similar. So, he want to know which the difference in price. how much is the price of FI, approximately?
    Thank you very much.
    Best regards.

You really do need to know talk to your SAP account manager
But depending on your licensing agreements it may be already included in your mysap license or variants of your mysap license (ie it's free)
However you should know that the current BW front ends are included in the mysap licemse but these front ends are not goign to be developed any longer
The replacement front ends (ie Business Objects) are classified as premium products and are chargeable!
(yes a HUGE problem which every single customer I know of is deeply unhappy about!)
In addition you will have pay for servers - ie a dev, q and P box
The hardware costs on these depend on the discount arrangements you have with your hardware supplier.
But for a small company you could look aroudn a budget of a few hundred thousand euros - for a large implementation around 2-3 million
(but then if it were a large implementation you wouldnt be seekign advice from a forum)
In addition there are additional licenses you have to purchase if you wish addition functionality:
You need an open hub license is you wish to use BW data in 3rd party products that further analyse the data (the cost is not in the hundred or even thouands of euros)
You need a broadcasting license if you are sending data to end users via email who do not have a BW license
If you purchase the BI accelerator hardware to speed up your queries then you need to purchase the blade servers from one of three hardware vendors and in addition you need to purchase another license from SAP (who are acting as a 3rd party reseller of the software technology)
total cost you can anticpate for a exampel blade server including licenses is approx 150k euros
Then.. you will need a a BW support team and addituional basis resources to maintain the box - salry costs for a small implementation will be two basis and 2 bw developers - cost approx EUR 200k per year (if you are lucky!)
Then you have the implementation costs. I used to sell BW consultancy - and for a small implementation - as an example I have charge eur 350k
Now - these are all example figures and I am sorry if some of these sound really high - but you really need to talk to your SAP account manager (most of th items above are discountable - but not all!)
This is not something to be taken lightly

  • On a new imac how much of the HDD is already used with the OS,iLife,apps..

Looking to buy my 1st ever iMac, the one Im going to get is the base one, with 250Gb HDD (I may upgrade to 320Gb for UK £29 though)
My question is how much of the HDD is already used by OS X and everything on it? I understand there is some free trial stuff onthat can be installed eg MS Office, iWork etc I would want these removed as wouldnt want them so how much is left before you start adding your own stuff
I also want to install Win XP on it so need to know what to do, 250Gb in todays computing is very stingy I think, so I need an idea
    cheers

Here's are some disk usage information from my 20" white C2D. The numbers
are running totals that include periodic software updates and some of my own
stuff -- but that would be less than 0.5 GB of the final total.
OS-X with "no optional packages" is a very usable system; it includes 'core'
applications such as Safari, iTunes, Quicktime. It does not include any of the
iLife apps or the iWork/MS_Office test-drive bloatwares.
The large increase in disk usage for a minimum Leopard system is partly due
to the inclusion of more apps in the 'core' OS package. Some things that were
optional in Tiger have become part of the "minimum" Leopard install.
The Xcode software development tools are a standard part of every OS-X
distribution, but since most customers have no use for them, they're not
included in the factory-installed disk image. If you don't plan to install
them, subtract 3.4 GB from the final tally.
    Factory pre-installed Tiger 10.4.8 & bundled software .................. 16.4 GB
Erase & Install Tiger 10.4.8 with NO optional packages .................. 2.9 GB
SoftwareUpdate to 10.4.10, with NO optional packages .................. 3.1 GB
Erase & Install Leopard 10.5.0 with NO optional packages ............... 6.6 GB
SoftwareUpdate (11/11, immediately after Leopard install) ............. 6.7 GB
Install Xcode SW development tools from Leopard DVD ................. 10.1 GB
    Install & SoftwareUpdate iLife'08 (except iWeb & GarageBand) ....... 12.3 GB
SoftwareUpdate to Leopard 10.5.1.................................................. 12.5 GB
IMO, 250 GB is FAR more than you'll ever need for installable software plus
a sizeable collection of music/photos. OTOH, no amount of disk space will
ever be enough for an avid music/photo/video junkie, and everyone should
have an external backup drive. So, stick with the standard internal drive and
    buy more external storage.
...a billion here, a billion there -- and pretty soon you're talkin' 'bout alot of money,
    Looby

  • How much of the chat

Was already in a bbm conversation with a new Q10.  Somehow i included a second person to the chat in error.  How much of the old chat did this "second" contact receive? Would they just get the portion from when they were joined or all the old convo as well?

    Hi Billy,
I would suggest that you give Kaazing's WebSocket platform a try. It's Java-based and comes with Java WebSocket libraries, including JMS over Websocket if that is of interest. There are several tutorials and the free download comes with tutorial like demos.

I am thiking of buying iPad to use it at school.
Can I open textbook withought WiFi?
How much will the Internet fee be?

What is your grade level? Most (many?) schools at the secondary and college/university level have wifi, so if using it at school you would be set there and if you have wi-fi at home, you should be all set, there, too. Having cellular can be expensive for what you get in terms of space, and depending on where you live, you might want to do some research to see what your best options are.
    That said...
I had questions as soon as I read your post. Are all of your books available for ipad? Do you have a computer, because you'll need one, etc.(I know you're using one now...)  If you do, then the ipad could work for you. My younger son is starting his junior year in college and he's getting an ipad for convenience. But he has an imac in his dorm room, so he'll be set. He knows that's more important for productivity than an ipad, but loves the idea that he can bring it to class for notes, put them on his imac for editing in microsoft office and excel, upload files he needs from classes, etc.
I opened a thread to the right on this page to see if there was information re these questions, and there are. There are also many threads where people have your same questions, and many have very helpful answers. The only thing is it might be time consuming. You might have to go way back to read them. There are so many questions asked 24/7 that a new question on this site might be ten pages back in a matter of hours. I don't do it often, but I check them out and and I've gotten some very helpful info. Take notes and perhaps what you learn can help you make your decision.
One thing I would skip as an option would be a netbook. They crawl... class would be half over before you'd get to start your note taking, and they are not powerful at all and have limited space even if you max it out with a larger hard drive. We bought two for my sons to take notes in college and don't use them anymore.
If you let us know more about your school level, specific situation, and why you want 4g, hopefully people can possibly help you better. All the best as you make your decision!

  • How much is the ETF for a smartphone?

We have one smartphone (iphone) with verizon service and want to end service. Our contract is up in September. How much is the ETF for only having 3 months left?

Here's the Info your Requesting..  More can be found through the Link I provided..  b33
    http://www.verizonwireless.com/b2c/support/customer-agreement
If you cancel a line of Service, or if we cancel it for good cause, during its contract term, you'll have to pay an early termination fee. If your contract term results from your purchase of an advanced device, your early termination fee will be $350 minus $10 for each full month of your contract term that you complete. Otherwise, your early termination fee will be $175 minus $5 for each full month of your contract term that you complete. Cancellations will become effective on the last day of that month's billing cycle, and you are responsible for all charges incurred until then. Also, if you bought your wireless device from an authorized agent or third–party vendor, you should check whether they charge a separate termination fee.

  • How much is the mbps of AirPort Extreme Base?

    Hi.
I can't find this information on Apple Store, and on the internet... So anyone knows how much is the mbps of Airport?
    THanks.

d b i? I am not familiar with that term.
20 dB is the nominal radio output power, if that is what you ask. This really means very little since the power of all wireless devices is limited by law. Everyone runs their routers at 100%.

  • How much is the Blackberry Playbook developing license?

Hi, I want to know how much is the license to develop AIR Apps for Blackberry Playbook and to publish them on the Blackberry Store.
For example... for iOS Apps the fee is of 99$ by year.... and for the Blackberry store?
    Bye and thanks
    Brandon

Hi Mark. There are a few things to install and you need to register as a vendor for the app world - but it's all fairly straightforward. Here's an excellent link from the BlackBerry PlayBook forum. One of the guys there goes through everything you need in a real good level of detail.
    http://supportforums.blackberry.com/t5/Tablet-OS-SDK-for-Adobe-AIR/Tips-Definitive-guide-t o-AIR-apps-for-playbook/td-p/1080047
It's well worth registering on the forum too.
    Good luck !

And why is this price not on the Web site?
And when will this price be added to the Web site?  It's long overdue.

Sorry.  After downloading required Adobe CS6 Design and Web Premium files and attempting to install, the error message "
The file archive part of Adobe CS6 Design and Web Premium is missing. You need all parts in the same folder in order to extract Adobe CS6 Design and Web Premium. Please download all parts" appears.  Using Window 8.  This happens on the Adobe Design and Web Premium CS6 installer file.

  • How much is the cost for replacing iphone 4 display?

how much is the cost for replacing iphone 4 display?

Apple will replace it, and the replacement comes with a 90-day warranty.
There are some legitimate, high quality repair centers that often can fix phones for less than replacement cost and offer at least 90 warranty...
Or maybe the OP knows that the broken display is not covered under warranty, which is why he was asking for the cost, but he still may have a warranty that just wouldn't cover him in this case.
The warranty is all or none.  If the phone were damaged so as to void warranty coverage on the display, there is no remaining warranty on the rest of the device.
