I have Total stoarge 5.0 GB I have Available 4.8 GB but the movie won't download on to my video's so please help me.I see the saving private ryan photo on the video's but when I click it it doesn't work.

The HD version is 7.19GB and the SD version is 2.59GB. You have to leave about 10% or so of the available storage free, so you just don't have enough space to download either version.
You have to delete some content or you will not be able to download it.

Colored Textures for FCE HD such as Saving private Ryan, Brother where art

Wondering if anyone can tell me how to get a certain effect for a project.
I would like to use different colors, Cool Blue, Slight tan/sepia - War Look, etc.
I know Magic Bullet has software but Only for FCP...
Can I create this on my own in FCE HD?
I tried the tint but it just isn't getting it. I would like to maintain the talents skin tone as normal but have the backgrounds tinted...hope this makes sense.

Why not ask in the Final Cut EXPRESS forum? All we know here is FCP.
And FYI, Saving Private Ryan, Oh Brother, Band of Brothers...the overall color was applied to everything, including the skin color. But you need a good plugin that makes it look right, because the TINT option just doesn't quite do it.
Hmmm...try the Nattress Film Effects...www.nattress.com. There is a demo. See if it will work with FCE.
There are presets in there like the Sepia looks...a bunch just like MB.

Thanks for that. Yes, the ipad was purchased recently. I called Apple last Friday and they ask for the receipt. I wonder if anyone were able to swap their ipad for a larger storage in the past at the apple store without a receipt? 16Gb is such a small storage.

How much storage and ram does a Mac need?

I'm thinking about buying a Macbook Air as a present for my Mum, however I've always used Windows and have no clue at how OSX works. For example I know that Windows requires 8GB of ram and 500GB of storage at least for it to run well and be future proofed for the next couple years. I'm guess OSX uses less resources since all the models seem to be really low on storage and ram, the models with more are way more expensive but you cannot add more later which *****. So I'm just wondering how much does a modern Mac need these days?

I'm mainly making this purchasing decision on battery life, every Windows Laptop I've come across seems to only last about 3 hours. Will OSX be able to do everything Windows generally does? My Mum isn't a heavy user with specific needs but she uses Microsoft Office a lot and her work requires for her to have Flash Player in the browser and I know IOS doesn't support that, does OSX?

How much she need depends on what she wants to do with it. I am perfectly happy with my mid-2012 Air with 4/128. The storage issue might be most easily answered by seeing how much space she has filled on her current computer.
You can install Flash Player with OS X.

It runs fine on laptops.
Disk usage: On my machine, iTunes and Quicktime together use about 150 MB. Plus whatever GB of music you have in your library.
Memory: At the moment, iTunes is playing a song and it is using 77 MB of memory. (That is not that high since most machines have 1000 MB or more of memory.)

I doubt any of us other users will be able to answer that. The algorithms for that genius feature are like a trade secret, aren't they?
All I can say for certain is that a library of around 100 tracks won't provide any genius mixes.

If you intend to watch sports or premium content like HBO then you would next to have a cable subscription, most are not standalone services. You will not find any device that allows you to cut the cord in this scenario.
I assume you currently have cable and internet, so if your intention was to remove cable that itself would decease the bill. Not sure who the provider is but I currently have a 150GB allotment for a fee nowhere near what a cable subscription would cost.

For an emergency boot drive 20GB will work, possibly even a 10GB if you omit several unused Languages & Printer drivers.
While a finished install may end up only 2.5 GB, during installation many temp & VM files are used, possibly as much as 10GB for a 2.5 GB install.
IMO, 20GB is not enough for use on anything but Emergency use.
If you're not going to install from your Optical, how are you going to do it?

Hi. I need to know the actual current drawn by the 85watt MacBook Pro AC charger from 220V 60Hz.
I am designing rooms and libraries that will typically have 10 to 30 Macbook Pro's in use. I need to design the power outlets they will use.
I know the actual value will vary with load (The MacBook's use situation).
I know the actual value will vary depending on the battery charge state when the Macbook is plugged in.
I know the maximum value would be at 85 watts OUTPUT from the charger, and that the charger is not 100% efficient, but is probably 85-90 percent efficient. Maybe.
At the moment I'm in a hotel in the Middle East with no test equipment..
So: Has anybody measured the AC current on a Macbook at 220V, like in Europe, Australia, Middle East, China?? Ideally I'd like it with a discharged battery, and maybe with a fully charged battery and just a browser running. (For the extremes??)
Any data, sugggestions, (Contacts at Apple???) would be appreciated..

My working number until I can actually do measurements, will be approximately:
- Phil's number: 85/220 = 0.386 / .90 = .43 Amps
This is based on a estimate of the charger's efficiency being 90%. Based on the temperature rise of the charger case, my rough estimate of the power dissipated there is 5 to 10 watts. Very roughly. So it's probably close...
So, back to my original need and question:
How many 15 inch MacBook Pros that are actively recharging batteries while being used for web surfing can I run on a 220Volt 16Amp circuit??
Answer: About 32. We may well have 25 from time to time, probably never 32. So I'm cool.. for now..
And I'm betting, based on other experience, that 25 kids won't plug their charger in during the same 2 or 3 AC cycles, so the surge current will be OK also.
But don't do this: Put out a string of multi-outlet strips, connect all the computers, and THEN flip the single power switch. That surge probably WILL trip the circuit breaker.
Whoever gets a decent AC ammeter on one of these chargers first, please post results here.
