hi,
i have made an application where my requirement is to use more then one hypertrend in the programming.
the requirement is of 25 hypertrends. My query is do using such number of hypertrends in the programming affects the efficiency of the application in terms of memory usage or cpu usage.

  • How much memory do I need for iPhone?

Before I purchase an iPhone 4s I would like to know how much memory I might need.  I will have some songs though currently I use only about 2GB on old iPod.  I will no doubt have some pictures and perhaps a video and, of course, some apps though I really don't know how many. I tentatively planned to buy 16GB.  My daughter is shooting for 32GB.  Suggestions and guidelines? Thanks

Hi, from what you have said above, the 16GB iPhone 4S seemsmore than enough space for a user with the outlined above, bearing in mind youdo not necessarily get 16GB, as there is the operating system and otherprogrammes that use memory, for example I have a 64GB iPhone 4S and it comeswith 57.42 GB or storage.
If you purchase a 16GB and you do seem to be running out ofspace, you can always back up your data to a computer and it can be deletedfrom your phone - meaning you have more space. If you are worried about havingthis problem 32GB will probably be the best option and will be more thanenough.
Hope this helps, any further questions feel free to ask, andI will try to answer them.

  • Tough question, but how much study is usually required for cert. exams

I have been working for 3-4 years as a Configuration Manager administrator, mostly in CM12. I have strong areas, like OSD and application deployment, and weaker areas, like PKI/https and Compliance Settings. I consider myself to be an advanced technician
    or engineer.
I am considering System Center Configuration Manager certification (70-243), but am wondering how much of an endeavor this is likely to be. Can others that have taken this or similar certificate exams please advise me? In weighing the value of certification,
I am wondering if I will be likely to succeed with a 100 hour commitment, or is it going to much more substantial a time investment?
I know this will vary wildly depending on how quickly a person learns and what they already know, but would love to have some idea before I decide to go down this path. I welcome your feedback and experience.
    Gary

    Hi Gary-
As you mentioned, the time it takes to properly prepare for an exam varies quite a bit.  So it will be helpful if other people chime in with their experiences too.  For most Microsoft exams, there are topics that you know and work with, topics
that you've read about but not worked with, and topics that are new to you.  Let me break down how this impacts the amount of time required to study:
Topics that you know and work with.  Some people might think that these topics don't require study time.  I think they do require study time.  That's because most admins have a specific method that they use in their work.
That might not be the method that the exam tests you on.  For example, in ConfigMgr you might use the management console for the  majority of your work.  The exam may test you on PowerShell.  It may ask a basic question about performing
a task that you know how to do in the management console but the only answer choices are PowerShell.  Or, they may test you on a new feature in R2 when your environment isn't running R2.  I recommend that you review the latest enhancements to R2
and spend a bit of time investigating alternate methods to perform tasks.  I estimate about 4 or 5 hours on this.
Topics that you've read about but not worked with.  These topics require study.  I recommend that you read about them and work with them.  For example, you should read about configuration items AND implement them in a lab
environment.  There are several learning styles and often people don't know which style is most effective for them.  Some learn by reading, some learn by doing, some learn by hearing, etc.  Typically, you will retain more knowledge by combining
the learning styles.  For me, I typically start by playing with a technology in my lab for a few hours.  Afterward, I will read about it.  Then maybe go back to the lab.  For others, it may be different.  But definitely experiment
to see what feels right for you.  I recommend that you avoid just reading about something that you've never worked with because it will make the exam difficult to pass.
Topics that are new to you.  These topics require the most study.  As Alberto pointed out, use the Skills Measured section.  Print it out.  Each time you finish reading and exploring a technology and feel comfortable,
cross it off.  For these new topics, definitely get your hands on them in a lab.  Even if you only spend a few minutes with each one.
For me, I usually allocate about 2 weeks to study for an exam.  But study time during that two weeks comes in between regular work and family stuff.  Maybe a couple of hours a day total and a few extra hours the day before the exam.  In the
past, I've allocated as little as 1 week to prepare for an exam.  For beta exams, I've walked in several times without any preparation.  In all cases, I always think that I should've spent a couple of extra hours.
If you've never taken a certification exam or a Microsoft certification exam, you'll want to spend more time than others who have taken exams.  But, one thing I typically tell people is not to spend too much time studying.  It will work against
you.  If you spend 8 weeks studying, by the half way point you will start forgetting the stuff you studied in the first week.  When the exam comes up, you'll have probably forgotten half of the stuff you studied.  I recommend a maximum of 4
weeks of study for an exam like this.  A book dedicated to 70-243 will be helpful but should be combined with hands on time in a lab environment.  If you don't have a lab to work in, check out the free TechNet labs for Configuration Manager at
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/virtuallabs/bb467605.aspx.  Finally, don't worry about failing an exam.  It is often the one thing that can help you the most in your exam
preparation!  I advise that you schedule the exam.  Pick a date a couple of weeks out and commit by scheduling it.  If you fail, you will know exactly what you need to do before you take the exam again!

  • How much memory do you need for itunes?

I can't run itunes, quicktime or upgrade anything on my mac mini has osx 10.4 it says I need 10.5 to download it has 256mb of mem do I have enough memory?

I would at least upgrade to 2GB RAM, if not 4
10.5 is not oficially sold but i'm sure if you call an Apple store or dealer you can snag a copy, you can find them online but usually pretty expensive. Below are the requirements for Leopard (10.5)
A Mac computer with an Intel, PowerPC G5, or Power PC G4 (867 MHz or faster) processor
    512 MB memory or more
    A DVD drive for installation
9 GB of available disk space or more
Some features require a compatible Internet service provider, fees may apply.
Some features require Apple's MobileMe service; fees apply.

  • How much ABAP programming is required for a typical SRM install?

I was wondering if there is a document that defines best practices for the use of ABAP with the installation and customization of SRM. Such as amount of ABAP coding typically required, and best practices around the use of ABAP for customization and configuration.
    Thanks.

    You may need following developments...
    - Validations for data with SRM Data or with ECC Data at BBP_DOC_CHECK_BADI
    - Changes to the Data in SRM at Document Creation / Change BBP_DOC_CHANGE_BADI
    - Based on your Purchsing Contract Settings in Backend you may need some Enhancements.
<like mapping SRM conditions to ECC, creating consignment or subcontracting Contracts e.t.c>
    - Most importantly customization of workflows.
    - If your Buyers has any specific Requirement to be validated or evaluate then you should go for SOCO Custom rules.
    - You can group multiple Requirements (SC) into one Purchase Order.
ABAP is required at the time of standard issues with SRM5.0, to debug and find which note to apply -- I believe this is a critical part where an abaper can help in  SRM instalation.

  • How much memory (in buffers) is needed for a simple webservice's call?

    Dear expert,
I'm doing a research work about analysing the main memory usage in SAP ERP systems.
I would like to find out the space that a simple webservice's call occupies in the buffers, but there is always something occupying the buffers. I know that my call to get the values occupies memory, that's why I use a webservice to get them (to avoid the SAPGUI), I call first $SYNC and I use a BAPI similar to the transaction ST02.
So could someone help me to find out the way to mesure the memory used by a single webservice's call (it's a very simple, just to create a material)? Thanks in advance.

    Thanks for that. Will try.

Subject: How much memory (RAM) is needed for Elements 9 to automatically fill in the edges when using photome
The key to successful use of edge fill is to ensure that you've got all the memory allocated to PSE that you can and that the file that results after you merge the panoramic is not too big. When PSE 9 first came out about a year ago, I fooled around with file sizes and I think that on my particular computer the merged file had to be no larger than 20 megs for edge fill to work. I did a quick search through this forum's history but I couldn't find my posts. Maybe somebody else can find them.

  • I am debating how much memory I need to get on my Ipad?  Any thoughts

I am interested in getting an Ipad2 but do not know if I need 16gb or 32gb memory?  Any thoughts?  I would probably have 20 to 30 apps running on the Ipad2.

He was asking a very relevant question, many of us ask when purchasing an ipad.
Your answer is irrelevant and wrong. The question was how much memory do I need for my ipad? not how much ram or is it future proof through upgrade. What you term as storage is flash 'memory' and the other, DDR is indeed RAM. The difference with this application being one is volatile & the other is not. Its obvious he is talking about flash memory so why post for the sake of it?
I used to own ipad 1 64GB/3G device (bad WIFI experience & returned the device). However I initially used it for web browsing, watching catchup TV, books & some apps. As I have other devices for music and films I really didn't benefit from the additional expense.
HD films typically consume ~2GB, single 128 bit song of ~4mins is about 4MB, most books do not comsume a great deal of space. Given films have the greatest impact it largely depends how many films you wish to carry around. Given they can be swapped in/out very easily with itunes its not a big deal. Additionally there are many tools that permit you to lower the film quality to reduce the file size.
Having some idea of file sizes and how many of each media type you wish to carry around you can extrapolate the most suitable memory density for you.
Good luck with whichever model you select.

  • How Much Memory Does RECORD VIDEO Require?

    Welcome to Discussions, Sandolini
In addition to the info that Ralph has already provided, I offer one additional thought.
Ralph is my guru on iChat, so I am sure he can correct me if I am mistaken, but I believe that iChat 4 (the one in your posted Mac OS X 10.5.8 system info) adjusts camera frame rates and possibly video window size based on connection and processor speeds. I also seem to recall that the maximum video size for iChat 4 is 320x240.
iChat 4's video size/quality decisions are made based on the info from both ends of the video connection. If I am correct, different users could, therefore, experience different video data capture rates, possibly even when connecting to different chat contacts. These capture rates translate directly into different file sizes for recorded videos. In any case, most iChat 4 recordings (maximum size of 320x240) are likely to be considerably smaller (at least one-fourth to one-third smaller) than the 640x480 video iMovie captures from external iSight.
My suggestion is that you record a one minute test, if possible with the same video chat connection. If recording success will be a critical, one-opportunity-only event, you may wish to make several one minute tests to see if there is enough variability that you must account for it. Once you know the file size for a one minute recording, you can calculate ninety times that to find the maximum estimated space required for your ninety minute recording.
When determining your needed space, be sure you leave the extra space Ralph recommends.

I have IMac OSX 10.9.4, 4GB,Processor 3.06 with Intell2Duo. I would like to check for Malware. I run a TechTool Pro 6 every month and that comes up great.
When check how much memory I am using, with only Safari open I am using 3.9 and more of her 4.0 memory. She is very. very slow in processing. I had 4000
trash to clean out and it took her over an hour to expel. Also for some reason Safari will not allow me to click on a link, in my G-mail, and let it go to the page.
It has a sign saying a pop-up blocker is on and will not let me do it. I must open the stamp to look at my e-mails and if I have redirected link now I can do it.
I have not changed my preferences so where is this pop-up blocker?
I have looked at preferences on Safari and Google, which I do not understand Google, and do not see where this blocker could be.
Malware is something I want to make sure is not on my computer. Tech Tool Pro 6 is all I know of and it does not detect Malware.
    Help.

  • How much memory for the G5 2.7?

    I am buying a refurbished G5 2.7 from Apple.
The primary application will be Pro Tools HD2 for audio mixing.
    QUESTIONS:
    (1) How much memory will I likely need? 2GB? 4GB?
    (2) I will buy the memory from Crucial. Should I remove the original memory and use only the Crucial 1GB pairs, so they are matched?
    Powermac G5 2.7   Mac OS X (10.4.6)

No need to remove the original RAM.
How much to install depends on how you'll be using ProTools. If it's only audio (no sample players), 2GB would probably work perfectly. If you're using samplers heavily, with lots of large samples, you might want to go to 5-6GB.
I'd start with 4GB, RAM for these is cheap (compared to RAM for the Mac Pro.)

  • I have an iMac OS X Version 10.5.8 but I also have a MacBookPro 10.7.5 version, why software updates are not the same? For example, when I want to know how much memory can not store in the same way in either computer.

I have an iMac OS X Version 10.5.8 but I also have a MacBookPro 10.7.5 version, why software updates are not the same? For example, the way to see how much memory I have in my iMac is diferent than MacBookPro. And where I can see the memory of the disc I've got in my iMac? Than you very much.

If you want everything the same on both computers you need to be running the same OS X version. You can't because your iMac is a PPC machine, not Intel.
But to see information about your hard drive is the same for both. Simply select the drive icon on the Desktop. Press COMMAND-I to open the Get Info window. Disk information is in the upper panel.

  • Where do I go to find out how much memory I have left?

Where do I go to find out how much memory I have left?

    Use the Settings app.
    Settings > General > Usage
You should see how much storage space is used on your device and how much remains. It takes a little while for the apps section to update but that area will tell you how much storage is being used by each app. Tapping on the > next to an app will provide information on how much storage the app requires and how much is being used by data and files.
