How much RAM is built into the current Airport Extreme?

How much RAM is built into the current Airport Extreme (5th Gen)?

The only RAM that's likely onboard is whateve is used by the hardware and would be soldered to the board. One would need to disassemble it in order to determine what if any RAM is on the board. There is no user-accessible RAM.

  • How much RAM can go into my Macbook Pro

    Hey, I wanted to ask how much RAM can go into my Mid 2012 Macbook Pro I looked at this guide http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1270?viewlocale=en_US#link1 and it said I can only but In 8 GB I want to put 16 GB but was wondering if this would ruin my computer. I am asking because I have heard about 16 GB going into many Macbooks   Thank you!
    Here are my specs
    13-inch, Mid 2012
    Memory  4 GB 1600 MHz DDR3
    Processor  2.5 GHz Intel Core i5
    Graphics  Intel HD Graphics 4000 1024 MB
    Serial Number  C1MKLGFEDTY3
    Software  OS X 10.9.1 (13B42)
    Your Mac contains 2 memory slots, each of which accepts
    a 1600 MHz DDR3 memory module.

  • [CS5.5] How to import a snippet into the current page

    Hi All,
    I got the IDOMElement from the document UIDRef and imported the snippet into it. Here's the code-
    InterfacePtr<IDOMElement> documentElement(docRef, UseDefaultIID());
    if (documentElement == NULL)
        break;
    if ((status = Utils<ISnippetImport>()->ImportFromStream(tStream, documentElement)) == kSuccess)
        //success
    ( tStream is the IPMStream of the snippet I'm importing)
    This code above is able to import the snippet successfully to the first page of the active document, but I want it to be imported in the current active page instead. So for this, I tried getting the IDOMElement from the current page's UIDRef instead (logically I thought that this will import the snippet to the current page)-
    InterfacePtr<IDOMElement> documentElement(currentPageUIDRef, UseDefaultIID());
    But the result is just the same— the documentElement is not null, but the snippet is imported to the first page only.
    May be that the concept of IDOMElement is not clear to me, but I cant find any documentation of it in the SDK guides too. Can anyone explain to me what's an IDOMElement and how can I import a snippet to the current page?
    Any help will be highly appreciated. Thanks.

    @mfreitag, thanks a lot for your reply.
    I havent tried it yet, will let you know after I try it- but I want to ask that how will that help me placing elements to the page?   Can you please elaborate a bit.
    Actually in CS3, I used to follow this implementation to place the snippet into the current page-
    1. Create a dummy textframe in the current page (needed just to create a group).
    2. Create a Group using that dummy frame.
    3. Get the IDOMElement of the UIDRef of that group-
       InterfacePtr<IDOMElement> documentElement(groupUIDRef, UseDefaultIID());
    4. Import snippet to this DOM Element
    5. Delete the dummy frame
    The snippet items were added into the group beautifully in the active page. But when I was porting the plugin to CS5.5, steps after step-3 failed, and the snippet is imported to the 1st page/spread of the document.
    I'm not sure, but seems that things related to IDomElement are changed for CS3+. May be you have an idea whether I could use the similar implementation to get this thing work?

  • Can you share a hard drive with the current airport extreme

    Hey all!
    I read that you can share USB drives with the new airport extreme. Can you do that with the current ones?
    Thanks,
    B

    Massi65, Welcome to the discussion area!
    You really should start a new thread since your question is about the new square AEBS and the thread started with a question about the previous AEBS.
    With either AEBS you could wirelessly gain access to a hard drive by one of these 3 methods:
    Use a hard drive with wireless networking capabilities. The drive would connect to the wireless network like any other wireless client.
    Use a hard drive with an Ethernet interface. Connect the drive to the AEBS's LAN port.
    Connect a hard drive via FireWire or USB to another Mac and then share the drive from that Mac.
    The new square AEBS offers a new possibility. You can connect a USB drive directly to the new AEBS and share it to devices connected to the AEBS's network.
    What performance could I expect?
    No one can answer this directly since no one has any of these devices to try.

  • How much RAM does the iPad OS take up

    If I buy an iPad, how much RAM is used by the OS, or how much RAM do I have to use?

    Are you actually asking about RAM, or do you actually mean "storage capacity"?
    Do you actually want to know how much free space a 16GB or 32GB iPad has "out-of-the-box"?

  • How much RAM is possible?

    sorry if this has been posted before, but i am not at my house and i don't have much time to search... i was curious how much RAM can go into a 20" intel iMac? my wife says 2GB, but i found a website that sells mac RAM and they say 3GB for the intel iMac... which one is correct... i want to make sure before i drop any money... thanks in advance...

    If the 20" Intel iMac is a Core 2 Duo machine, then the max is 3GB. All of the currently shipping iMacs with the exception of the 17" 1.83GHz model with intergrated graphics have a 3GB max.

  • Difference TimeCapsule 2nd gen / current AirPort Extreme Base Station

    Hello, I own a TimeCapsule (2nd gen) with 1 TB storage.
    I was wondering if the network capabilities of the current Airport Extreme Base Station are worth upgrading to.
    I understand that this product does not have the storage, but I was wondering if there's a notable improvement on the WiFi part?

    Unless you have sophisticated test equipment, you are not likely to notice much, if any difference in the wireless perfomance of the 2nd Gen Time Capsule compared to the current AirPort Extreme.
    The Extreme might be just a bit better in terms of range, but the difference is going to be so small that I doubt that it would be noticed in normal use in a home.

  • After I've heard an audiobook downloaded from the public library, how do I delete it from the Shuffle?  When I plug it into my computer, I get a screen showing how much space is left on the Shuffle but no list of files that I can delete.  WRA

    After I've heard an audiobook downloaded from the public library, how do I delete it from the Shuffle to make room for other audiobooks?  When I plug it into my computer, I get a screen showing how much space is left on the Shuffle but no list of files that I can delete.  These books, incidentally do not appear in the ITunes screen.  WRA

    Select the iPod shuffle in the iTunes sidebar (under DEVICES).  If this is a current 4th (or 3rd) gen iPod shuffle, you should be able to see the contents of the shuffle by type, intented under the shuffle's name (still in the sidebar).  Select Music or Audiobooks (not sure where those items from the library will be listed).  The items will be listed to the right, for each category.  Find the items, select, and delete.
    It's on page 20 of the manual
    http://manuals.info.apple.com/en_US/iPod_shuffle_4thgen_User_Guide.pdf
    NOTE:  If this is an 1st or 2nd gen iPod shuffle, select the iPod shuffle in the iTunes sidebar (under DEVICES).  Over to the right, go to the Contents tab, where the items are listed.  Select and delete them from this list.
    I find it more convenient to make a playlist in iTunes with things I want to put on the shuffle.  I then set up automatic syncing (or use autofill) to have iTunes load the shuffle from that playlist, automatically.

  • How much ram does the iPhone 6 Plus have?

    How much ram does the iPhone 6 Plus have?

    This is what I got on the info....
    IPhone’s RAM has been very little, even pitiful compared to other flagships. Now 1GB RAM is still the standard configuration for the current iPhone 5 / 5s and iPhone 6.
    Is Apple’s system optimization can really never need to increase the memory capacity? Obviously the answer is no. Recently, GSMArena published a sheet of iPhone 6 Plus detailed specifications, we can clearly see the “2GB RAM” in the memory list.
    GSMArena also posted the benchmark score for iPhone 6 yesterday, but we seen that A8 GPU not seem to improve a lot in the processing capability compared to A7 – only increased 4.65%.
    Apple usually not declare the detailed hardware parameters of their products, because those indicators not have too many advantages compared to other similar products, and even looks a bit shabby. But for Apple, these are not the most important, the company always focusing on the overall performance and user experience of the product. iPhone 6 Plus is the largest ever. Apple has said the iPhone 6 Plus screen reached 1080P in the event, as a larger screen means more resource consumption, and the processor needs to handle higher pixel image, so increasing RAM is the best choice to enhance stability and performance.
    So based on the above evidence and our speculate, iPhone 6 is indeed possible with 2GB RAM. If in doubt, all we could wait is finding out the truth after dismantling the device. Course this just may be a beginning, we also expect Apple can give more memory for the upcoming next-generation iPad and iPad Mini.

  • How much RAM is the maximum?

    I'm pondering about how much RAM a PowerBook 12" G4 1,5 GHz can take?
    If you buy it from Apple, the maximum RAM they would ship it in with is 1256 MB (if I remember correctly) that would make 256MB + 1024MB of RAM.
    Is that all? I mean if it were possible to replace the small 256MB with a 1024MB & use the one slot on the backside of the PowerBook as well with 1024MB, would the PowerBook work with this 2GB of RAM?
    Or would there be any side-effects (besides more energy used to run the system)?
    Would it be possible to install 2 GB RAM into a 12" PowerBook?

    MatK, the reason why you can't put more than 256 MB in the original slot is because it is in fact soldered-in ...
    Gilles, what you need to get is that :
    1 GB DDR RAM PC2700 (333 Mhz) 200-pin SO-DIMM
    Costs 330 €. I have found that my local Apple Service Provider had prices below those of Apple, so your might want to check your closest AASP to see how expensive the modules they sell are ...

  • How much RAM can I put into my Macbook Pro?

    Here's my info:
      Model Name:          MacBook Pro
      Model Identifier:          MacBookPro4,1
      Processor Name:          Intel Core 2 Duo
      Processor Speed:          2.4 GHz
      Number Of Processors:          1
      Total Number Of Cores:          2
      L2 Cache:          3 MB
      Memory:          2 GB
      Bus Speed:          800 MHz
    I want to upgrade my RAM, as the computer is showing a bit of age at 3 years old now.  I looked at this support page:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1270#link8
    And judged the installation to be easy enough for me to do, but I'm confused as to how much RAM I can buy.  The conflict I see is that "Additional notes" says I can use up to 8GB of RAM, but the table says only 4GB.  What's throwing me off is basic math -- is that 4GB only referring to my slots (thus 4+4=8) or is it saying that anything over 4GB will not be recognized by my computer?
    I spoke with someone at Apple, but he seemed a bit confused by my question, and eventually gave me a "yes" that was timid enough that I felt the need to post here.  So, I'd appreciate the support!  Thanks a lot, everyone.  I'm just looking to not spend more than I need (in terms of buying excess RAM), and make sure I don't ruin my Mac in the process.

    The MacBook Pro 4,1 can acces a maximum RAM of 6GB
    However RAM comes in 4GB modules and you have two slots, so you install 8GB (two 4GB modules) and can only access 6GB of it according to MacTracker.
    Use the free Crucial.com site to make sure your getting the extact specified RAM specs, you can buy it anywhere if you like.

    Hi chemadberk,
    In my Acrobat 8 Pro, Insert Pages is under the Document menu but anyway...
    In Acrobat X, click on the Tools pane(upper right side) then navigate to Pages- the Insert Pages commands are located there.

  • How much ram is needed to make it work the best it can?

    i have a g4 and a crappy pc monitor. how much ram can this mac take and how do i get the most out of imovie? thanx a mill!!

    i have a g4 … how much ram can this mac take
    a G4 swallows up to 1.5GB of RAM...
    my experiences: MacOsX under 800MB is no fun...
    afaik, iM doesn't profit that much of more'n more RAM,
    I think 1GB is a good compromise for your demands&wallet...
    a better CPU increases speed dramatically,
    G4, G5, dual, quad, Intel... in that order...
