How much should I expect to sell Mac Pro 1,1 for?

I am looking to upgrade my computer and would like to sell my Mac Pro. I am going to first try Craigslist, then EBay. What should I ask for it? What Should I expect to recieve if I am lucky? Expect to recieve in reality?
Mac Pro 1,1
2x 2.66ghz Dual Core Xeon (4 cores)
6GB Memory
ATI Radeon X1900XT
4x 7200 RPM HDD - 250gb Seagate (factory drive), 500gb Seagate (ST3500320AS), 500gb WD Caviar Black, 1TB WD Caviar Black (2.25TB)
All original documentation, packaging, discs. Bluetooth keyboard and Magic Mouse. Clean, nearly dust free interior. A few very small blemishes on the outside.
Has a fresh install of OSX 10.6.8. Also would come with FCP7 and Adobe CS6 preloaded. Ran AHT and everything is good.
Mac2Sell says 1110 is what I should expect. Does this seem accurate?

eBay has a built-in "Reality Check":
Search for exactly what you are looking to buy or sell. keep refining with keywords until you are getting the things you want, plus less than about 10 percent wierd stuff.
Then check the checkbox in the sidebar that says" Completed Items". These are the sales and non-sales for about the last month. Sort by price.
The lowest priced items usually fell off a forklift or are "for parts, not working". Eventually, you get into real, working systems that are ugly, then ones that are okay. Make sure there were several bids.
If your auction goes badly, that may be what you get. If you make your item more attractive and appealing, then maybe you get more. On Craigs list, maybe you can do better by throwing in local delivery or something.

  • How much should I expect to pay for a new hard drive for my macro with 250

How much should I expect to pay to replace damaged hard drive?

Nowadays a 3.5" SATA drive with 1 TB of storage space is under $70.00 depending upon cache size and spindle speed. Enterprise level drives will cost more since they come with a longer warranty and have a heavier use capability. These are desktop drives.
Your profile suggests you have a laptop model. Notebook sized drives are more expensive.
Look at OWC to find suitable replacement drives and prices dependent upon what you need. It's hard to provide you the correct information because you did not tell us what type of drive needs replacing.

  • My three year old busted keys on 4 year old macbook- can I replace and  how much should I expect to pay?

how much would it cost to replace keyboard on 4 year old macbook?

you can either update to lion/ios5 and use the cloud to sync or you can plug in said devices and sync them with your MBP instead of your dell via a tethered usb connection.
also, sign into your itunes store account on your mac.

  • How much should i expect to pay at an apple store to have ram installed

I have purchased 2GB of RAM and need it installed.  Approximately what should I expect to pay at an Apple store to have it installed?

Apple will exchange your 4G for a refurbished 4G for $199 for a 64 GB one and $99 for the others. If you want a 5G, Apple will give you a 10% discount.

  • I have to change my disk, computer won't start. How much should I expect to pay?

    Hi!
My computer has a grey screen and won't start. I called Apple and I was told my disk was broken and needed to be repaired. Is it true? How much does it cost?

It could be true - but if I were you I would take the machine to an Apple Store or an AASP to get a free diagnosis and estimate for repair. No one here has any real idea of how much a hard drive replacement would actually cost, either.
Take your computer in and get a real diagnosis. Don't rely on a phone conversation - you really can't do diagnosis on the phone.
    Good luck,

  • How much should I partition for Time Machine/Backup?

    Hi all,
I upgraded my PB G4 HD to a 160GB recently and have just purchased a 1TB External HD. How much should I partition in the external to be used for Time Machine backup purposes of my internal HD? Will the same size suffice, or should I allocate more?
Also, I was thinking of formatting the drive so that it's both Windows and OS X friendly, but that means formatting it to MS-DOS something (I was just reading about it in another thread), will that cause any issues for the partition for Time Machine that I created? Thanks.

That's not practical. If you want to use the hard drive on a Windows machin while still being useful for Time Machine you should use MacDrive.

I would make the partition at least twice the size of the internal drive. Preferably, you would want 50 GB for a Leopard install that includes just the base operating system so you can boot off the 50 GB to recover your Time Machine data if your Leopard installer disc ever becomes unusable.
Also since you have a Powerbook, your 1 TB hard drive should be Firewire. USB will not boot Powerbooks. If it is USB only, you can remove the external hard drive case and replace it with one compatible with the drive inside that case from http://www.macsales.com/ that has Firewire.

  • How much to spend on a USED Mac that will run GarageBand?

Friends of mine are looking to buy GarageBand as a Christmas present. But they need a Mac, too. They know nothing about Apple products. I know *this much* more <hold fingers about 1/4" apart> than they do, but enough to ask here.
I know they could buy any new iMac and they'd be fine, but:
    1) What would be the minimum system they should look for?
    2) How much could they expect to pay (reasonably) for it?
I found these specs on Apple's website, but not knowing Apple products, it doesn't help me too much:
    * Intel dual-core processor
    * 1 GB or more RAM
    * Older PowerPC G5 and G4 computers will not be able to play back as many tracks
    * PowerPC G4 and G5 computers will benefit greatly from having > 1 GB RAM
    Thanks.

It really depends on the version of GB you want to run.
IF they already have a monitor and keyboard, a mini will do fine too. Apple has pretty good deals on refurbished items. I have had good luck with them:

Update2: There is something very wrong with wireless on mountain lion recovery. I don't know what the problem is, but this link may explain:
    http://osxdaily.com/2012/08/10/os-x-mountain-lion-10-8-1-beta-released-for-dev-t esting-may-include-wi-fi-fix/
Wireless recovery would start out with over 25 hours estimated and kept on failing. It turns out to be a two step process of downloading a few Mbytes then a 4Gbyte .dmg file, but I couldn't even download the Mbyte file. I bought the thunderbolt to gigabit ethernet adapter, plugged it in, restarted recovery and download of a little more than 4Gbytes took less than an hour. My limiting factor was probably comcast home internet rate of 12Mbps. The wi-fi wireless connection should be able to do over 100Mbps, so wireless shouldn't be much slower than wired, except wi-fi wireless is broken. Now that ML is installed and updated, wi-fi seems fine now, as I am using it right now, but I haven't tried downloading a big file yet.
Don't use wi-fi wireless for Mountain Lion recovery.

  • How long should I expect my battery to last

How long should I expect my battery to last. It's about a year old.

Here's ehat i responded to another  forum trooper:
Ok here aremy recommendations for your consideration:
Goto the “apple “on your top menu bar. Click 1stoption (About this Mac) a small screen will appear
andclick on “More Info...which will take to a large another smallscreen with Mac Book Pro in huge
    letterslike this: MacBookPro.
Nextgo the “Systems Report” button: press.
NextUnder “Hardware” on the left you'll see “Power” click that.Volia the battery info
Nowlets do an analysis of the info: here's mine a 2 mo. Old 17” MBP:
    ModelInformation:
SerialNumber:     ****************** (not shown by me)
      Manufacturer:     DP
      DeviceName:     ******************(not shown by me)
      PackLot Code:     0
      PCBLot Code:     0
      FirmwareVersion:     406
      HardwareRevision:     1
      CellRevision:     1102
      ChargeInformation:
      ChargeRemaining (mAh):     7806
      FullyCharged:     No
      Charging:     Yes
      FullCharge Capacity (mAh):     8488
      HealthInformation:
      CycleCount:     17
      Condition:     Normal
      BatteryInstalled:     Yes
      Amperage(mA):     2131
      Voltage(mV):     12534
OK under“Charge Information” you see my MBP currently at 7806mAh (mstands Milli
which is 10 tothe -3 power) which translates to 7.806 Amp hours in non-techiespeak. As you see on mine Full Charge Capacity is 8.488 Amp hours.
Ok under healthyou see my cycle count is 17. Your very low cycle countreflects that you are not “conditioning” your battery by runningit on battery till 5 minute warning or going to sleep and then fullyrecharging it! You've had it ~18 mo. And your dooming yourbattery to a short life. Condition your battery for a long life.
Please notethis is a super battery 2.131 Amps @ 12.534Volts which Apple says will last approximately 7 hours. Real world experience is significantly less with Lion OS installed.

how much does it cost to replace a broken display screen for a 21" Mac ?

The glass is part number 922-9795 and dvwarehouse sells it.  So that might give you an estimate of the minimum cost for replacement (unless you do it yourself).

My iMac (late 2010 model) desktop's hard drive is fried (was about 200GB). How much am I expecting to pay for a new one and retrieve my information?

As you can see Erin, trying to recover information from a hosed drive can be very expensive.
I would suggest first the OWC site as well. You can get a new drive of choice in size there.
I would also get the voyager  http://eshop.macsales.com/item/Newer%20Technology/VOYQHDB1.0T/
    and..
    http://eshop.macsales.com/item/Prosoft%20Engineering/DGDR3BUN/
    http://eshop.macsales.com/item/NewerTech/TOOLKIT11/
Wth your lap top and these folllowing tools your are set to change out the drive, reload OS and then with
the voyager pop in the old iMac drive and with the Prosoft software, try to mount and recover the files. Data Rescue is very good at this " if " the drive is not totally mechanically hosed. Drive Genius is very good at a number of things too. Nothing replaces the old adage of Back Up Back up Back up.
The voyage I listed can become the new backup drive for you.. your choice of tools: Time Machine or by cloning via CarbonCopyCloner or by what I use SuperDuper! IF you want to be really kewl.. both. By that I mean cloning and Time Machine.
It will take you an hour to swap out the drive and spring clean the iMac.. there is a hundred how too,s on you tube.
Hope this helps. Remember if is always when a drive will fail..they all do. I tell the people I support that Harddrives are good for 15 min.. to when they don't work. They will all fail.
Apple Geniuses are very limited to what they can and will do as far as file recovery.
Your best bet is to try to do it your self first. There is lots of help out here and you are not the first.
    Don

How much should it cost to replace a hard drive on a MacBook Pro?  I think the drive that failed was 500gb.

This is an international community.  Prices vary from country, state, city, etc.
You should call the repair shop of your choice and ask for an estimate.  Make sure the estimate includes taxes, labor costs, etc.

How much should I pay off to see the best and fastest increase in score? Optimally you should pay it down to between 1-10%, so up to $230 reporting balance.  At worst you should probably have it below 30% or around $690 in this case. I know you're not asking for this advice, but it's pretty crazy to carry a balance on a gas card.  The rates on those things are usually super high.  Just a friendly suggestion, but try to control you spending on your gas card before getting yourself a general use card like a Visa/MC because you could get into way more trouble if you're able to spend everywhere.  I know many people would have appreciated such advice at some time in their credit past.

You can buy a factory unlocked on direct from Apple sim free, make sure you get the right one and not just a contract free one.  I am sure  one of our US members will be able to give you the price.

Hi all,    If you could give me some advise.  CASCADE CAPITOL purchased my debt from Santander for a car repo and referred it to this collection agency (Stoneleigh Recovery Associates ),the amount owed is 7700.00 . I am still within the SOL for another 2 years. and just got my second collection letter last week.
