I read quite a few questions and answers regarding this, but mostly that was CAN SOMEBODY CALL ME ... HOW MUCH THEY WILL PAY ...
My question is simple - If I have Skype number in Malta - how much does it cost me to receive call? Does it depend of country where caller is or ...? Thanks

Amount should be €50,45 since you don't pay VAT when using Skype Credit as payment method.

Recurring payment will be taken 3 days before subscription expiration date. This means payment will be taken on the 21st and if for some reason it doesn't go through you still have 3 days to resolve any issues.

It costs nothing to receive a call to your Skype #. As it is simply a regular landline # the caller pays whatever his/her carrier charges to call that #.

Hi..i hope someone can help me with what is probably a basic question. I am trying to find out exactly how much it costs me to ring cell phone numbers or land lines in the united states from skype (im ringing from Australia). Im not very good with the computer at the best of times but for the life of me i cannot seem to be able to access this simple rate information? My queries take me to a screen with information listed down the left side...not sure what this screen is called...I'm loath to go back there again ....all the writing is in black, if that helps?.....anyway, it even provides me with a plc to enter my country of choice etc but still..i can't seem to see where the answer is shown?.....all rate queries seem to take me here...back to the same screen but to no avail....so i guess the issue is im not sure whether im just doing something wrong on this screen..looking in the wrong plc etc....OR the screen is malfunctioning....it seems very unclear?...this is about my 7th separate attempt to get this information .....i just want to know how much its costing me to ring the US....a country i ring quite regularly....i have a credit arrangement ..but i was wondering if it was cheaper say to ring at different times of the day etc..whenever i try to ring my friend in Maryland there is the standard "from 2.5 cents per minute"that appears beside the dial pad....but thats it...it could be costing me alot more than this?...and may be cheaper at some other time?..I spend much of my free time trying to help compulsive eaters on-line...some cannot skype...i am happy to ring them from Australia and pay for the calls if they aren't too costly but as this is just a free service i provide ...as a way of giving back what was so freely given to me, i have to watch my own spending etc...hence my concern about how much this is costing me financially etc..,,,,.any help..guidance is much appreciated...

Can the sounds of an active hard drive be heard at some point (indicating a normal startup)?
There is a problem with the graphics processing unit (GPU) and its ball grid array (BGA) on some iBook computers, leading to similar symptoms. Reflowing (resoldering) the BGA is a work for specialists, and is going to be expensive. A web search will return a number of more or less realistic alternative attempts to solve the issue. Outside pressure applied to the affected area has sometimes been used for troubleshooting, or even as a temporary "solution".
It is of course possible that the iBook in question has a completely different fault, such as a broken display cable.

This is one instance where you'll curse yourself for not having bought the AppleCare Warranty extension and gotten the board for free.
Anyway, get your model number handy and go look up the parts in www.powerbookmedic.com or www.ifixit.com amongst other places. They've also have videos or photo pictorials on how to do the replacement. Not altogether trivial, be sure to spread the adequate amount of thermal paste on the CPU and GPU, else you'll fry the new board in short order again.

If you have a tool, try removing the battery cover and chech out. Some times the camera pin may have been misplaced. If so, you can fix it yourself.

You should call the repair shop of your choice and ask for an estimate. Make sure the estimate includes taxes, labor costs, etc.
Remember, no one can give you an exact figure until the repair techs physically examine & run diagnostics on your computer to confirm what is wrong w/it.

I recently accidentally dropped my 13" Macbook Pro and got two small dents/scratches on the aluminum front of the computer. It's really bothering me and I would like to get it fixed but I'm not sure how much it would cost bringing it to the Apple store. I've read some answers and it says that the price range is between $626 - 1,200. I have AppleCare BUT I'm not sure that AppleCare will cover cosmetic blemishes. It's a bit worrisome and I don't wish to spend so much money.
I would prefer not to exchange the computer because I know you can do that but I highly doubt Apple would allow me to get a new computer (considering the scratches are rather really small). The scratches are really just bothersome.

I just bought my first Mac computer ever and I'm loving it -- and the battery life is phenomenal. I'm just worried that in a year it'll be half of what it is now which would not be unlike any other non-Mac laptop, but I really like the battery life this Mac gives.
So I'm wondering, at that point, how much would it cost to have the battery replaced? Does AppleCare include a battery replacement? I know that it's not exactly something I want to replace myself, so how much would it cost to have the Apple Store replace it, if not?

Thanks for the response. I'm worried partially about voiding the warranty if I remove it, and iFixIt's teardown of the latest 2013 Retina model suggests that it may be quite difficult to do without breaking other components...
If they wouldn't do it for free, is $129 the price of a battery, or the price of battery and replacement?
