How much suitable is PDF to start as fresh note bycotting Microsoft Word or Google Doc?

i want to start my fresh doc in pdf instead of microsoft word or google doc because it has lot of features such as comments n everything.
Do other people also do like this or others will first create word or google doc and convert to it?
My second question is: which program will be the best for me to start working in pdf as fresh note? Is it Adobe Acrobat, adobe distiller or sth else?

There is one thing Acrobat will do that Word won't do is Digital signatures. If you need to send finished Document and want to prove its legit use a digital signature. If there are any alterations The Signature becomes null and void and has to be resigned
Also Acrobat has a much better Forms creation system That anyone can fill out with Reader or Acrobat.
There are a Lot of people That send PDF's of Word Documents because the are many likely don't have have Word. And Unlike Word that will variation in look of the document depending up screen size variation fonts from Platform to Platform. As long as the party send and receiving both have the same fonts will look identical on each.
You can not do wholesale editing in Acrobat. Acrobat's editing facilities is meant for touch up only, remove a letter or add a letter her or there.

In the past I have been able to convert PDF files to MicroSoft Word, and Edit and Save the Documents. Now, the converted files are unreadable and uneditable. How do I correct this problem?

I don't have an old PDF file that I converted to MicroSoft Word, however the new file that I am trying to convert and edit is the same kind of file that I've converted and edited before; An Invoice from the same Company. Is there a possibility that a download, MicroSoft Compatibility Pack for the 2007 Office System, onto MicroSoft Windows XP Home Edition Version 2002 computer might be causing the problem? Should I download to (.doc) or (.docx)? Any help will be greatly appreciated!

Have you tried converting one of your old PDF's that have worked in the past to see if it still works?
Are these files scanned to PDF files?
You may want to try utilizing the OCR solution.

and it worked for me:
1. Quit Word
2. In the Finder's menu bar, select Go > Go to folder and type or paste: ~/Library/Preferences/
3. Click on Go
4. Locate the preference file com.microsoft.Word.plist, then Option-drag it to the desktop to create a backup copy
5. Go to Applications/Utilities and open Terminal
6. Paste the following bold command at the $ prompt (it's a single line):
defaults write com.microsoft.Word 14\\Toolbars\\Show_HIToolbar -boolean TRUE
7. Press Return and then quit with Command Q
8. Start Word and test. If the fix works, trash the backup file in the Desktop file. Otherwise, restore it.

Thanks I havn't seen that post, busy trying it now but no luck so far.
I defined it in the second one (Content Management - Utilities - MIME Types).
Tried it now in NWA, no luck either . . .
What I noticed is no matted what it is defined as in NWA or Content Management, the properties of the mht file still shows Binary File (application/octet-stream)
Any ideas?

Everything you need is in the Spelling and Grammar preference pane, within Word's Preferences.
Check the boxes, "Check spelling as you type", & "Always suggest corrections".
As well, there is a button for checking the document, called "Check Document", which you can use on an existing document that has not been checked yet.

I have a question, for my first time being a mac user and all. How much are the ssd cards/drives? I have a 4GB and 2.4 ghz macbook pro of 2010 early, it's a 13". I'm thinking about how I am going to be majoring in animation design in college and I'm worried that my laptop might LAG or slow down. (Will it? :S) I know I probably sound stupid right now and probably being laughed about with this question but it's my first mac laptop that I will taking to college class with me. How much actual storage do we start with?

I tried transferring a movie into my touchpad from a laptop but the transfer window on my laptop disappeared in the process of transferring and i'm worried that there might be some loss of storage. I replugged my touchpad and movie file wasn't there. I did a full erase and found out that I have 13.6gb available storage. Is this the same amount every 16gb touchpad users starts with?

That is the proper amount of storage space that should be available. The OS takes up ~2.5 gbs.
