How much time do I have to wait

I am new to mac os x and trying to burn a 68 min iDVD project to DVD.
I started it 1AM today morning and its still not finished (about 8 hrs).
Its at "Multiplexing and burning" step with "done" status.
But the overall it says "Time Remaining: about one minute" .

The same thing is happening to me -- although I didn't wait 9 hours to see what would happen. The burned disk ejects, but the time remaining remains at "one minute" ad infinitum (as far as I know). The only way to get rid of it was to cancel the operation, then confirm the cancel. After that, I had to start the burn all over again to burn another dvd; iDVD had to re-encode everything again. There was a problem with the "finished" dvd - it would freeze at a latter part of the movie I was trying to preserve. I tried it a second time with a different disk with similar results, then tried a third time, changing the setting from "Professional" to "High Quality" -- again with the same result.
The movie was Battlestar Galactica "Razor" (a made-for-TV movie) that I recorded to DVD using a Panasonic dvd recorder, the total length was about 90 minutes after I cut the commercials using mpeg Streamclip. I exported to dv format before using it in iDVD, I tried both "High Quality" and "Professional Quality" settings -- with the same result. I also tried it on both DVD-R and RW - both would stick (freeze) at the latter stages of the disks -- but at different points.
I finally dumped the entire project in frustration. As the dv file seems to run fine in Quicktime, I'm going to try to start from scratch at the "High Quality" setting to see what happens - but I may not try iDVD a third time if I again get the "one minute" remaining problem again. iDVD takes an awfully long time to encode - compared to using Streamclip demuxed files in Movie Gate. If I can get iDVD to work, however, I must admit that iDVD's presentation (menus, drop-zones, etc.) is impressively slick... It's too bad that iDVD won't do 4 hours of lower-quality recordings.
I hope there's a fix to this -- any help would be much appreciated.
BTW, all this was done on a 20" Intel iMac 2.4GHz with 3 Gigs of RAM, still running Tiger 10.4.11. (Maybe I have to load up Leopard before iDVD operate smoothly? I timed my purchase so that I got the Leopard disk upgrade, but I don't really want to switch over quite yet...)
(I tried burning in mpeg format first -- only to find out that the final product had no sound -- which didn't help my frustration level (and yeah, I've got the Quicktime mpeg decoding thing). I've been an Apple guy since the mid-80's, but in more recent times Apple's decision not to provide decent manuals for their software sometimes leaves me wondering; using the "trial-and-error" learning method with a program like iDVD can be quite time-consuming...)

How much longer will we have to wait before Adobe fixes the bugs in Elements 10?

Lassoo misbehaving - I use it all the time - I'm seriously thinking of consigning Elements 10 to the bin and going back to Elements 8. Can't save file owing to program error - every second or third save - drives me bananas. I know, I know, if I click in the corner of the box a couple of times it works again but I expect a program to work as described not to have to patch it up myself.
So come on Adobe pull your finger out and fix it - I spent my money on your product now you spend some of yours on getting it right.

If you look around at all the forums and support sites you will find this exact same question be asked everywhere concerning numerous bugs. Right now the only answer you get is "try elements 11 you'll like it". So in my humble opinion I think ADOBE plans on fixing the bugs in elements 9 and 10 when you know what freezes over and not a minute sooner. For all those considering elements 11 you might want to wait and see what shows up in the forums concerning any bugs it may have, because based on any past experience they won't fix until next version (12) comes out, in other words you become the beta tester for the next version.

There is no exact time defined as such , as you have already gone through tutorials and worked with Muse , I would suggest you to use the features and try.

How much time does 8.2 software have?

I've been reviewing software revisions for the Cisco ASA 5500 family. We have a few clients running 8.2 and the jump to 8.3 will require significant effort to make sure everything translates properly. There are no features in 8.3 that these clients require so it seems in their, and our, best interest to let them ride the 8.2 software until an upgrade is necessary to continue receiving security patches. I have looked for EOL notifications but have not found anything for 8.2. I have also placed an inquiry with our SE at Cisco, but I thought I would ask if anyone knows anything about how much time 8.2 has before we could expect to see an EOL notification.

I can't seem to find the same for the 8.2.
Though I would consider that there are still alot of users happily going about with the very old PIX firewalls running software 6.x or even older. Not saying its a good thing but it work.
And considering 8.2 is the latest software before the BIG NAT change I would imagine it will stay in use for a long time for those that dont want to learn/adopt the new NAT format.

Yes, sound stupid, regarding test environment, but in reality, is not that much:
-I do have "preprod" environment, (2 instances RAC) same releases of OS, OCW,RAC ... but DB size is 40 GB!!! It has all the objects as production, but (again but) it does not have physical standby, as production has. This is not that unusual, knowing that production DB grows very fast, and very large, and business do not want to keep preprod, dev, test databases same HUGE size as production is. Savings ...
-My DB upgrade depends if application running on top of it is certified for higher RDBMS release ... looks like they have some problems.
-Very encouraging sounds comment that DB upgrade does not depend that much of the DB size ...
- i do not recall from where this info came, but I have heard that R 11.* treats PDF files in different way that R10 did it ... and because of that, process of upgrading big databases which have many items of that type (pdf) can take very long. Any idea about this?

Let it do the rotating thing for about 10-15 min. If it is still doing this, try wiping the phone in iTunes.

but in a "brown box" so no bits and pieces just unit for unit exchange
They will know of iPhone history from their systems but always

It is possible, but you have to know 'time' is bit different, depending if you are talking about the 'editors' time or the real time spent by the the trainee. Have a look at this old blog post, that tries to explain:

Time can show on the TOC (editors time), and if you have a playbar with a progress bar that gives some indication as well, but both for pure linear projects.
