If you have an Apple store, your appointment at the genius bar far an evaluation is FREE, in warranty or out. There is no obligation to have them make any needed repairs for a fee.
Sometimes they will need to take it in the back where they have a static-free workstation to open it up and check the inside. If they can fix the problem by "fiddling with it" for a few minutes, that will also be free.
It is the best deal in town.

One thing to keep in mind is that any electronic component inside your computer could be damaged, so you could end up paying to replace a lot of other parts later. (You also may not... it's a bit of a gamble.) It's your decision whether to repair or not, of course, but I personally would never consider repairing a computer with liquid damage. I would consider it a loss and would just replace it.

I have dropped my phone into a sink full of water. Right away, I grabbed the phone and did my best to dry it off. Once dried, my speakers seem to have given up and only a faint noise would occur when a call or text would appear. Lastly, my phone had a hard time gaining any service. All it would say at the top was "Searching..." and will not change. I seem to have given up when a thought ran through my head about turning off the phone and placing it in a bag full of rice. This is where my phone will be sitting for the next 48 hours (as suggested by friends and the lovely Youtube).
If I have to replace my phone, how much would I be paying? If it needs repair and can survive, would the cost be?

They can replace very few parts in it, such as the battery or the sleep/wake button, but for water damage, several components are likely damaged.

Whilst inside a suitcase my Macbook Pro has suffered a dent to its lower left hand side, so that one of the USB ports, SD card slot and headphone slot are unusable as the casing has come out of place. I have tried to get compensation from the airline but surprise surprise there are loopholes that mean they won't do it for me. If it was just a dent I'd leave it, but because it actually restricts my usage I'd like to get it repaired.
Does anyone know how much Apple charge to repair the lower casing of a Macbook Pro? For reference mine is a late-2011 13" model.
