Your best bet would be to contact Apple or an Apple Authorized Service Provider who can provide you with a quote on having your screen replaced. Or, if you've got an Apple Store in your area you could also drop by a Genius Bar and a Genius would be able to provide you with this information as well.

It got damaged, probably when it fell off the couch. I know, it's my own fault. My warranty ran out anyway. All I need to know is a ballpark price for repairing or fixing the screen. It's internal, looks like it cracked or something.
Since my warranty ran out and I'm not that rich, I need to know if I'm better off finding a cheap Windows computer to use instead, because from some quick Google research I did, it looks like the screen repair is about as much as an entire new base laptop. (Why I don't know, but I guess they have to make their money somehow.) I don't think I could do any repairs myself, I wouldn't trust myself to that.
Help please? It's greatly appreciated!
