How much volume can this server handle?

I'm not really sure where to post this. If I posted in the wrong section, please forgive me.I am running Business Objects Enterprise XI R2 on a rack-mounted server with the following specs:Quad Core Intel Xeon processor 2.0 GHz4 hard drive 73 GB each Raid 54 GB RAMWindows 2000 ServerRight now, my user base numbers around 20 or so users. My company is thinking of using the server as a reporting solution for a larger business unit, expanding the user base to around 100+ users. How much volume do you think my server can handle? Would it be enough to handle this amount of users? Or is more processing power/scaling needed?

  • How much RAM can my computer handle?

I have a iMac that was manufactured mid 2011 21.5 inch display.  The specs say it can only handle 16GB of RAM but here's the response I got from the RAM manufacturer:
"Whist your official manufacturer specification recommends 16GB maximum capacity, we can confirm that your iMac can support up to 32GB because this has been rigorously tested in this system and is guaranteed compatible.
But I can set up a refund for you, if you would still like to purchase other memory modules."
    Here is my response:
"Can you guarantee in writing that 32GB of RAM will work for my machine and not hurt it? If it breaks because of too much RAM do you replace the computer?"
Please advise 16GB or 32GB.  By the way, I gave the manufacturer the serial number of my iMac so they shouldn't gotten this wrong.

  • How much RAM can my macBook handle?

I have a MacBook (late 2008) unibody aluminum with Boot ROM Version: MB51.007D.B03.
      Model Identifier: MacBook5,1
Processor Name: Intel Core 2 Duo
      Processor Speed: 2 GHz
      Number Of Processors: 1
      Total Number Of Cores: 2
      L2 Cache: 3 MB
      Memory: 2 GB
      Bus Speed: 1.07 GHz
      Boot ROM Version: MB51.007D.B03
What is the maximum amount of RAM that I can upgrade to 4GB or 8GB?
Original manuals state 4GB. Some sites state that with the proper updates in place, state it can address up to 8GB.

The model 5,1 (Late 2008, Aluminum Unibody) can use 8gb of 204 pin 1066mhz PC3-8500 RAM

  • How much ram can a macbook pro 2GHz Intel Core i7 Handle

Wanting to upgrade my RAM and need to know how much it can handle. HOpefully someone can answer this for me

Be sure you buy from a reputable Mac-friendly supplier as Macs are notoriously sensitive to memory.  Two of the best are Crucial and OWC, http://www.macsales.com
They stand behind their products, have great support, and on-line videos on doing the installation.

  • How much load can AMS handle

I will be using FMS for a training application for a client. The app simulates a telephone conversation. Users hear audio which is pulled down from the FMS, then record themselves. The app streams the audio to the FMS using RTMP. My question: If there are 250 - 300 users simultaneously using the app, what will be the impact on the server? Can the server handle that many simultaneous connections without a performance hit? The client is very concerned the server will not be able to handle it. I have no idea whether this amount of traffic will be negligible or be a serious issue. Any information is appreciated.
Also, how would I perform load testing? Right now I'm using uVault for my FMS server and will ultimately install FMS on the client's box. Is there any way to do load testing in advance of having the FMS on the client's machine?

    Hello J,
May I advise you to have a look at performance testing tools?
Nothing else than load tests, based on real-life scenarios, can better give you insights and evidences whether your server can support the load and which service quality level it can deliver to your users.
To be honest with you, I work at Neotys, editor of NeoLoad, a load testing solution. Neotys is a partner of Adobe for Flex. NeoLoad is designed to load test applications (including Adobe RTMP), realistically simulate users activities, and monitor servers behaviors. You can download a trial version of NeoLoad for free.
I do believe NeoLoad is the only solution which provides a strong RTMP support with an outstanding ease of use (no script, full graphical user interface, RTMP calls decoded in XML, and so on).
You can read mode about NeoLoad here : http://www.neotys.com/product/technologies-rtmp-load-testing.html

  • I have an iMac 5,1 with an Intel Core 2 Duo. I'd like to be able to use iCloud, but need Lion which is too big. How much memory can I add? And will this upgrade allow me to install Lion?

I have an iMac 5,1 with an Intel Core 2 Duo. I'd like to Lion, in order to use iCloud, but the specs indicate I don't have enough memory. How much memory can I add? And will this upgrade allow me to install Lion?

I believe your model iMac can address 3 GB RAM; the minimum for Lion is 2 GB - however, that is an absolute minimum for very light use. You would be much happier with a minimum of 4 GB.

(You can install 4 GB, but it will only be able to address about 3.1 - 3.2 GB)

  • How much ram can my iMac take?

Hi all, just bought a iMac a few days ago and I'm just wondering how much ram can it take as I want to upgrade it. It didnt come with a manual, so I don't know.
    Here's the spec so far
    Early 2008 20"
Processor  2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
    Memory  2 GB 667 MHz DDR2 SDRAM
Graphics  ATI Radeon HD 2400 XT 128 MB
    Software  OS X 10.8.2 (12C60)
Thanks for any help in advance

There are two answers: the official Apple answer and the "you're on your own" answer.
1 - For the official iMac max RAM, see iMac Memory specifications and upgrades
2 - For the "your're on your own" answer, everymac.com has a list of the Actual Maximum RAM you can put in every model Mac.  In many cases this is more than the official maximum RAM.
After deciding how much RAM you want to put in your iMac, I suggest going to Crucial.com and use the memory advisor or system scanner to see what RAM modules are compatible with your iMac.

  • How much ram can I put  In a 12" 867MHZ?

    Hi,
I've just picked up a 12" 867mhz Powerbook for a very reasonable price! My question is how much ram can i put in it? It currently has 640mb. Also if i can put some more in it will it run Leopard?

Bear in mind you can customise the install of Leopard to exclude some languages and particularly exclude printer drivers that aren't relevant to you, this will substantially lower the total required space. 12" Powerbooks are rather fiddly to work on - here's a really thorough guide on Hard drive replacement etc. for your Powerbook:

  • How much music can I store on 4s 8GB (hrs or # tunes)?

How much music can I store on iPhone s 8 GB (# hours and/or # of standard length tunes)?

After subtracting overhead you will have about 6 GB available, assuming you have no other apps, no email, no text messages that you save, no calendar, no notes, etc. in 6 GB you can fit about 600 standard length (3-4 minutes) songs at 10 MB each. As you add apps and data this number will drop.

  • Who has maxed out their space on their 160?  How much space can itunes store on a MacBook?  should I just shift "jazz" to a new iPod and keep rock on my current 160?  any suggestions?

Who has maxed out their space on their 160?  How much space can itunes store on a MacBook?  should I just shift "jazz" to a new iPod and keep rock on my current 160?  any suggestions?

I have not filled the iPod Classic 160 GB.  I have most of my music and a few movies for traveling on that one.  Before I bought it, I had a 20 GB that was always full.  Now, what I do is have rock music on a shuffle that I use for biking or running.  Audio Books are on an iPod Touch.  The 20 GB unit is no longer used (given away) and replaced with the 160 that holds just about everything else.
The MacBook is limited by the size of the hard disk.  Many people with have their entire iTunes library on an external USB or Firewire hard drive and have iTunes map to that.  Remember that this is not truly a backup (if the library is only on one drive, it is not a backup, nor should the iPod/iPhone/iPad/etc. be considered a backup)
If you have the means to have another device, I would agree that splitting your music by genre on each device is the way to go.  I've known people that sort their music on devices by artist, album, etc.  As long as you find a way that works for you.

  • How much data can be polled by JDBC adapter at one time

    Hi All,
how much data we can polled at one time from JBDC adapter?
    Regards
    Manish

    Hi Manish
How much data can be polled by XI it all depends on your server configuration.
Idealy message should not be more then 5 mb.
you can poll more then 70000 records also but conditions apply - if it contains only one column, if having 50 columns then you cant fetch even 70000 also, so all depends on the msg size not on the number of records.
You can refer my blog to restrict the number of records to be fetched by XI, link is given by Shabarish above.

  • How much time can i leave it turned on

hey i just got this mac and i'm downloading a software that weights 11,06 GB and i was wondering how much time can i leave it on...or do i have to turn it of and let it rest for a bit...i been going 3 days straight without any problems but im concern about overheating and so...thanks

I leave mine on all the time day/night and only sleep the display. I restart once in a while when installing updates. Yes the backside can get hot to the touch and that's normal. But it also depends on the environment it's in. You can download iStat Pro if you want to check the fan speeds and internal temperatures. http://www.versiontracker.com/dyn/moreinfo/macosx/27037

  • How much heat can an iSight take?

I am using 2 iSights as security cameras in my garage watching the outside of my house. Yesterday it was about 95 degrees outside which is a little warmer than it usually gets where I live. In the garage it was scorching hot and my iSights were hot to the touch. How much heat can they take and should I put little fans on them to cool them?
