How much will my iPhone 4 cost?

In October 2009, I purchased my first iPhone, a 3gs. Now I want an iPhone 4. According to most most of my sources, it will cost me $399 for a 16GB and $499 for a 32GB(with a 2 year contract).Is this true?

If you qualify for AT&T's fully subsidized or discounted price for the iPhone 4 and doubtful you do if you purchased the iPhone 3GS at AT&T's fully subsidized or discounted price in October of 2009, AT&T's fully subsidized or discounted price for the iPhone 4 is $199 for the 16GB and $299 for the 32GB.
AT&T's early upgrade price for the iPhone 4 - for existing subscribers that don't qualify for AT&T's fully subsidized or discounted price with any new phone including with the iPhone, the cost is $399 for the 16GB and $499 for the 32GB.

it depends if you're eligible for an upgrade. you have the iphone 3G, so you just got that around june 2008 or after, so you renewed your contract with at&t regardless if you had been with them since dec 2007. so that's a new 2-year contract. check upgrade availablity on www.wireless.att.com. if not, then you'll have to pay $130 to break the contract and buy the 3G S for $199 or $299 depending on what you like. or the no-commitment price of $599 for 16GB & $699 for the 32GB.
i have the iphone 3G, and there's really little difference on the 3G S (video,compass etc).. i would just wait for next year when i'm finished with my 2-year contract and when the next gen iphone will be available.. it would be a hassle to break contract now and break contract again on the next gen iphone.. but it's your choice.. good luck..

on average about 250 - 300 songs per gb but you will have apps and movies of varing lengths, you can go to settings general useage and it will tell you exactly the size of everything on there. That way you could delete a bulky app or movie that you might have on there to free up space. You can delete items from the Settings?General/USeage screen

So basically it sounds like you bought an abused used iPhone and somehow that makes the phone subpar because dispite the abuse it should still last forever and look like new? Batteries don't last forever, even under ideal conditions, so your expectatoins are unrealistic. Take it in and have an estimate done.

No, you simply do not. Apple does not sell insurance.
Apple offers an Extended Warranty called AppleCare.
Warranties doe not cover lost or stolen devices. Buy a new one.

Apple wil replace your iPhone with an out of warranty replacement but that replacement is going to be exactly the same as the old one. Apple does not allow you to change it.
