It had fallen from my computer table and struck the prongs of an extention cable plugged into the wall outlet and it was extremely hot. I found a small charred hole about .5-1mm wide, and what appears to be some sort of metal component, possibly where the prong made contact with the electronics inside. I wonder, how much would it be to fix it, let alone know what's wrong with it?

I Curious How Much would a new HD cost?

I have a G3 iBook 500mhz, 192 Ram, 12 inch. I just had my HD die after a few years of Hard Usage and I don't really need this laptop and I don't know if it's worth it but How much would a new HD be 10 gig or bigger. Maybe off of E-Bay would be cheap? I have another laptop I will be using and I might be getting another. I would however like to keep this one as a spare for on the go trips. To Seminars and stuff like that.

How much would a repair for an unresponsive volume button cost for an iPad 3?

The volume button for decreasing the volume as stopped working and has been unresponsive to restarting the my 3rd gen iPad, and doing a hard shut down. My AppleCare warranty for my device has expired and I would like to know how much a repair for this would cost. It should be noted that the button for increasing he volume still works but since the buttons are technically one button on the device my assumption is that both buttons would have to be replaced. If you could shed some light on whether I should repair my iPad or buy the iPad Air, (whichever one seems cheapest or most cost effective in the long run). If you have a tool, try removing the battery cover and chech out. Some times the camera pin may have been misplaced. If so, you can fix it yourself.

My phone has been exposed to water. If I do not have any insurance then how much can repair cost or replace the phone?

I have dropped my phone into a sink full of water. Right away, I grabbed the phone and did my best to dry it off. Once dried, my speakers seem to have given up and only a faint noise would occur when a call or text would appear. Lastly, my phone had a hard time gaining any service. All it would say at the top was "Searching..." and will not change. I seem to have given up when a thought ran through my head about turning off the phone and placing it in a bag full of rice. This is where my phone will be sitting for the next 48 hours (as suggested by friends and the lovely Youtube).
If I have to replace my phone, how much would I be paying? If it needs repair and can survive, would the cost be?

They can replace very few parts in it, such as the battery or the sleep/wake button, but for water damage, several components are likely damaged.
