How NOT to save iCloud Mail messages sent from iPhone?

Using iCloud Mail on a MacBook / Safari, e-mail messages are NOT saved - the relevant box in Preferences is unchecked. However they are saved in the Sent folder when sent from an iPhone. Is there any way they are NOT saved either way?

Again, ON MY IPHONE only has Sent option. There's no way you can set the Sent mailbox to any Trash anywhere.

iPhone and iPad use a different way of accessing the server.
I don't know the exact details, but we are using Zarafa instead of Exchange and have the same problem:
iPhone and the likes can connect to Zarafas z-push interface, which is some identical interface to the native Exchange interface, while the desktop e-mail application tries to interface with the web front end (via http) of the server.
These are completely different setups and it depends on the actual installation of the server to get this going.
So, you will most likely need different access parameters for the desktop - and the web mail feature has to be enabled on the Exchange server.
In my opinion using the web mail interface is just silly. On the other hand, the native protocol has less features comparedto the web front end, so you are somehow stuck with sins of the past.
    Good luck!

  • E-mail messages sent from Dynamics CRM

    Hi,
I have Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online (recently updated to version 2015) integrated with Microsoft Office 365 midsize business so we also use Exchange Online on the same domain.
Is it possible, when I send an e-mail from CRM, to see it also in the Sent Items of my Mailbox?
It seems that they are not "integrated" even if the system is in fact the same!
    thanks in advance

    Dear Friends,
E-mail messages sent, are received not in the paragraph-form as sent, but are broken-up into small segments, one line finely printed, the next line may appear with two or three words printed on it, then the next line will show a few words at the end of it, while the next line appears as the start of another paragraph, and so on and on and on. So that the original message, although sent in the one paragraph-form, winds up being received as several paragraphs, each broken up into several segments. My contacting Apple has produced no solution thus far. I am new at this computer
business and would greatly appreciate any help you can give me on this score. Thanking you in advance for your interest and kind help.
    Yours Truly,
    Broduff.

  • HTC Sensation not able to open text messages sent from iPhone4 iOS6

Up until I installed iOS 6, my friend had no trouble receiving and opening a standard (green) text message sent from my iPhone4. After the new install, his phone receives the message but as a text file that won't open. He hasn't changed anything on his end nor have I changed anything else, so I'm assuming this must be the culprit. Has anyone else had a similar issue? Thank you for any suggestions.
    Bryan

Have you figured this out yet?

Not sure what you mean by "within iCloud mail" but if you can't view your iCloud mail inside the Mail app on your phone, go to Settings>iCloud, turn Mail off, then after a few seconds turn Mail back on again.

  • Mail message sent from PI comes with weird characters at Subject

    Hi folks,
I've a Scenario where I must send a e-mail with some process data. To do that, I'm using emial Package to build the email Message.
The email Package XML Looks like this:
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="ISO-8859-1"?>
    <ns:email xmlns:ns="http://sap.com/xi/XI/emial/30">
<Subject>HEY THIS IS JUST A LONG PLACEHOLDER SUBJECT TO HELP ME TO FIND OUT THE ISSUE OF MY MESSAGE</Subject>
    <From>sender</From>
    <To>rcpt</To>
    <Content_Type>multipart/mixed; boundary="--JrSnBoUnDaRy"</Content_Type><Content>----JrSnBoUnDaRy
    Content-Type: text/plain; charset=UTF-8
    Content-Disposition: inline
    Lorem Ipsum Dolor Sit ...
    </Content></ns:email>
When the message arrives at my emialbox, the SUBJECT looks like this:
"HEY THIS IS JUST A LONG PLACEHOLDER SUBJECT TO HELP ME TO FIND OUT THE I SSUE OF MY emial MESSAGE"
    Instead of:
"HEY THIS IS JUST A LONG PLACEHOLDER SUBJECT TO HELP ME TO FIND OUT THE ISSUE OF MY emial MESSAGE"
As you can see, there`s a "space" between the I and SSUE word. Looking closer at a Hex Editor I can see that I'm dealing with two special characters, first one LF (0xA) and later a TAB(0x9).
Doing some test I've found out that it just happens at the 72th position of the Subject string.
Is there any limitation for email fields while using email Package or Receiver email Adapter?
    Thanks in advance,

    Hi José,
SMTP has a line length limit and any long header line needs to be split in multiple lines, where each subsequent line must start with a single TAB.
It is strange that your mail client couldn't decode these multiple lines back to the original single line.
It might be that the mail adapter did not split the original line into valid multiple lines.
TCPGateway attached in the SOAP adapter note can capture the SMTP traffic and save it into a binary file.
You can check if the mail adapter correctly did the splitting.
This is not directly related to your issue. But you should avoid using the mail package if you have some format sensitive content. XML parsing inevitably changes the original physical representation (refer to whitespace handling in the XML specification). The issue can be avoided if the base64 encoding option is used within the content encoding. But you should switch to the adapter specific message attributes (ASMA) approach if you are configuring a new scenario.
    Best regards, Yza

  • How do I show in Facebook message "sent from mac"? Is it possible?

I was wondering if there's any option as such which would show "sent from mac" in facebook. Please, free to leave your ideas. I'd love to hear them.

When I want to copy it to a thumbdrive ... click/drag is the standard, but it's never worked with iPhoto ... & it seems, it STILL doesn't work with the iOS-looking "photo."  sigh.
FWIW, you can drag a photo, video, or a selection of several items from the Photos main window into a folder (including the desktop), but you get a recompressed version at a (non-adjustable) fixed pixel resolution that is typically lower than the original, & it will be the edited version if you have edited the photo in Photos. Because of the recompression & resolution changes, it can take from a fraction of a second to many minutes for the dropped copies to appear in the folder, particularly if you are dropping multiple items and/or large video files.
However, if you hold down the option key during the drag & drop, you get an unaltered version of the original(s) & the process takes no longer than a normal file copy.
This may be useful for copying to thumb drives.

  • Bug with Cyrillic-UTF-8 encoding in Outlook messages sent from iphone

Some time, during replay or forwarding mails, written in Cyrillic form iPhone3GS (iOS 4.0), iPhone send a format of the message UTF-8 and did not field the charset field.
In such case most of the windows client(Outlook, The BAT, Firefox) cannot recognize the message encoding automatically. Advanced clients have to use manual setting of the encoding.
In older iOS in iPhone2G i have't met such problem

  • Messages sent from iPhone not visible on iMac

When I send a message on my iPad using iOS 8.1.2 it does not show up in Messages on my iMac running OSX 10.9.5 but it does show up on my iPhone, also running the latest version of iOS 8.1.2. Does this feature not work with OSX 10.9.x or is there another problem and, if there is a problem, how can it be corrected?
    Thanks.

  • Audio is not decoding properly on text messages sent from Motorola Android. Video plays fine but audio is unintelligible chirping.

I have iphone4. Some inbound text messsages with imbedded video clips do not play the audio properly. Audio chirps as if bad decode. Is there firmware/software updates or other apps to help with this issue?

Harm, I didn't pay attention to those settings, I should have. I got hung up in the preset names and figured those were my only choices. How green I am, lol. I made a preset with a Target of 4 (max 6) and VBR 1 Pass, and I knocked the audio down to 128K being it's just speech, and it all worked great. The new file plays in both players perfectly and also plays on my iPad with no jitter. Filesize is about 240mb but that's fine, it works. Problem solved and in the books. BTW, I use a GTX570.
Jim, I agree, VLC is super, it was the only player that would play 5D Mark II files right out of camera back in 2008, on my dual core Dell laptop with a cheesy Nvidia 7900 graphics card. Problem is, the majority of people I'm sending these MP4s to are Mums & Dads in our church, etc, and you know quite well that those folks are running some consumer Dell or HP setup they bought at Costco on closeout.
Funny backstory, when the 5D2 came out in Sept 2008, that was what thrust me into video. So I immediately bought the Prod Premium CS4 Suite (already owned Photoshop for a few years being a stills guy) and installed it on that Dell 17" laptop I mentioned above. After getting the 5D2 finally in Jan 2009, I actually had the nerve to take my first attempt at creating a video in Premiere and encoding it on that laptop. I literally had to kill AME partway through because I was seconds away from burning out my processor (I had been using RealTemp because of how hot that thing ran using Word, lol). It was that event that made me convince myself to start researching how to build a real editing PC (using an i7 920 at the time). I probably drove Harm nuts back then with all my questions, lol! But this rig has been my workhorse and has been through countless upgrades, the only thing remaining from the original 2009 build is the case and the power supply.
I know, you guys didn't need all that info, just felt like shooting the breeze. Thanks again!

  • MMS messages sent from iPhones on my Blackberry iMac

Here is a question I can not recieve MMS messages on my iMac because I have a Blackberry Q10 and not an iPhone.
In iMac Messages you can add an account but I can not figure out how to add BBM account to the iMac.
Under accounts types it only allow an AIM type account which puts me into AOL.  Has anyone been able to make a Blackberry work with BBM on a Mac.

If I understand your question correctly, you wish to receive BBM messages on your iMac. Is that correct? If that's what you're asking, currently BBM messages can be viewed only on a phone (BlackBerry, Android and iOS). Will BBM messages be accessible via a PC or Mac someday? Maybe yes, maybe no but at this point it's phones only.
I hope that answers your question.

  • Automatic "sent from iphone message"

How do I automatically add the message "sent from iphone" to my messages I send from my iphone (I have the older version - not the new 3G. Thanks.

It is like the "sent from a mobile device so excuse the typos" on the Blackberry, that is the default signature. Since it is sent from your iPhone you are supposed to excuse any typos, and is put there as the default since the statement is truthful as it was in fact sent from an iPhone.
I've never considered it being bragging and don't think most people think you are a "proper idiot". I haven't changed mine mainly because I haven't come up with anything to replace it, and I believe they put the default there so people will notice it and can just edit it.
Maybe I'll change mine to, "Changed to this so edgedatuk won't think me a proper idiot."
    Has a ring to it.

    Hey there,
Ive been sending messages from iMessenger on my Mac to friends and they are receiving them on their phones and Mac messengers from me as normal, however they dont come through on my iPhone. So I have two seperate messages happening.. I can have conversations with friends from my phone or computer but they are not syncing up together. How am I able to have messages sent from my Mac appear on my iPhone?
Hopefully that wasnt too confusing, kind of hard to explain.
    Thanks in advance!

Go into iMessages settings to see what e-mail is linked with the account. If your daughters email is listed there, that is the reason you are receiving her iMessages.
