How often can i re-download purchased media on the same device?

If i purchase a TV show on my Macbook Pro/iPad/iPhone, do i still have to back it up to an external HDD or can i just delete it from my device and re-download it again in the future to re-watch? I am trying to avoid filling up my Macbook Pro HDD and would love to not have to back it up to an external HDD.

I did not see anything that would allow you to download content more than once to one device (re-downlading to an associated device is allowed per these terms):

(iii) You may switch an Associated Device to a different Account only once every 90 days.
(iv) You may download previously-purchased free content onto an unlimited number of devices while it is free on the iTunes Service, but on no more than 5 iTunes-authorized computers.
An Apple TV is not an “Associated Device.” However, TV show iTunes Products may be played back on compatible Apple TVs, provided that you may only play back any such TV show on a limited number of Apple TVs at the same time.
I also did not see anything that would allow you to copy something you purchased to an external hard drive, although I might have missed that,
I'd suggest contacting iTunes support to get a definitive answer.

I want to use icloud (which I'm new to) to hopefully have all four iphones and all three computers stay synced with at least music - if not aps and pictures. My wife has an apple ID and I have one. I'd like to authorize all three laptops for both apple IDs so that we will still have our own accounts, but everything either of us buys will be automatically loaded into all three laptops and all four iphones. Can this be done?

The only thing you can do would be to create a second user account on your Mac and create a new iCloud primary account on that. Fast user switching would allow you to have both user accounts running at the same time and switch between them very quickly, but uploading documents created in one account into the other is more complicated - you would have to save a copy into the Shared folder in Users so that it was accessble by the other account.

How to force iTunes to download purchased media?

This has happened to me at least twice so far and it annoys the **** out of me. Here's the situation:
I purchased and downloaded media on one computer with this Apple ID and I come back later and want to download it on another computer. The second computer is authorized to download stuff so that's not the issue, but then this happens:
If I go to my library, the album/movie in question isn't there (because I downloaded it on another computer)
If I view that album/movie in the store, the purchase button is greyed out and says "Purchased".
Here's the kicker: If I select "Check for Available Downloads..." from the "Store" menu, it pops up a message that says "All purchases have been downloaded for this Apple ID."
I call BS. All purchases have NOT been downloaded! It says I purchased [album/movie title] but it's not in my library. How do I make iTunes download media I've purchased when it spews out blatantly false statements denying I need to?
This is on Windows 7, in case it's a platform dependent bug. It's certainly some sort of bug when your program says there are no downloads available when clearly there are. :/

Different people have different ways of wanting to manage their libraries and their purchases. In this context whenever you make a purchase it remains "available for download" until it has been successfully downloaded to one of your computers or devices.
For items that are available for repeat download on demand (audiobooks are not for example, and the rules can vary by region) you can then download them to any of your other computers or devices using the cloud links that can be enabled in your library (iTunes > Edit > Preferences > Store > Show iTunes in the Cloud Purchases - iOS device > Settings > Music > Show All Music) or via the "Purchased" links (iTunes > iTunes Store > Quick Links > Purchased - iOS device > iTunes Store > More > Purchased).
On your computers you can also enable automatic downloads of all eligible purchases via Edit > Preferences > Store > Automatic Downloads and tick the options for Music, Apps & Books as appropriate.
If you purchase anything that is subject to a one download policy then it is your responsibility to transfer it to a computer, if necessary, and then back it up. You should backup all content really since any item may be withdrawn from the iTunes Store without notice at any time.

Setup then Use Home Share feature on both PCs just like you would for music
After setting up home share on both computers, on one computer (say "A) ...from the pull down menu on the upper left of iTunes, select the Library/Apps from the other computer("B").
Next, at the bottom left, from the pull down menu select "Items not in my library"
Next select (highlite) all of those items not in your "A" library, then choose import from the bottom right of iTunes.
When done importing on the first computer (import B to =>A)...go to the second computer ("B") and import from "A" to=> "B"
Now you can sync your iPhone or iPad on the computer you normally use and all apps will sync.

As said in another of your posts, the warranty is only valid in the US on a US purchased iPhone...you cannot purchase AppleCare for it in Brazil. You can only buy AppleCare+ warranty extension in the US since that is the country of origin of the iPhone.
To get warranty coverage in Brazil, you need to purchase the iPhone in Brazil.

That is weird, but the iPhone really is so picky when it comes to SIM cards and other assorted carrier locking annoyances.
The only reason I could say you're seeing that is if you've got SIM card for a different country. (Canada/USA)

I just bought my partner an iphone, and he wants to know if once activated through itunes, will the phone sync to any computer regardless of the operating system as long as itunes is installed. We have Macs at home but he has windows in the office.

iphonecuty...I connect & sync my iPhone with an iMac at home and a Windows PC at work. However, the work PC only syncs my calendar and contacts; all of the iTunes content is synched only from the iMac. Works fine this way.

How long will the shared photos from the original icloud account stay available to the other devices? If you're asking how to have an Apple ID without a credit card for purchasing fee apps and media, you have to create a new ID as explained here: http://support.apple.com/kb/ht2534. Be sure to follow this guide exactly. Note that you have to start by download and installing a free app before creating the ID. Once you have the new ID, go to Settings>iTunes & App Stores, tap the existing ID, sign out, then sign in with your new ID.
