in the last update I'm blue screen upon reboot and had to leave as a tube direct button to turn it off. and stayed in version 10.6.8 and I can not do much for not having updated the software
the problem is said to stay updated but no, he stayed in the 10.6.8 version and update it? I will update and said to be in the newest version.

Snow Leopard can only be updated to version v10.6.8.
Try Starting up in Safe Mode
A Safe Mode boot deletes system caches that may help. Keep in mind, a Safe Mode boot takes much longer than a normal boot so be patient.
Once you see the Desktop, click the Apple menu icon top left corner of your screen. From the drop down menu click Restart.
If that doesn't help, the startup disk may need repairing > Using Disk Utility to verify or repair disks

They don't have the music on their computer so they cannot transfer the iTunes folder, from the computer to their iPod and then to the new computer. And if they try to enable disk use on the iPod it will erase all the music that is on it. The method you cited is moving the files in a data format using the iPod as a flash drive. It doesn't work if they are in music format. That is why I suggested Yamipod.

I recently purchased a new macbook and am having trouble syncing my iPhone with the iTunes. It won't allow me to delete any of the music on my phone, so I am unable to make room for the new software upgrade. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Does anyone know how to enable editing on a new computer? I only have an 8gb phone and over 4gbs of music, half of which I don't even listen to anymore. Here are two screen shots to show you what I am seeing. The first screen shot shows it allowing me to select (highlighted in blue) my admin user (which is what I am locced in as). The second screen shot shows it allowing me to select the "Guest" user (highlighted in blue). However when I click on the user "Orion" nothing happens. It will not change to highlight that user.

Activated new phone. How long to load OTA software upgrade?

I activated a brand new phone this morning that I purchased on E-bay (Verizon, Boulder C-711, made by Casio). I followed the steps on the Verizonwireless web site and dialed *228. I was told that Phone was successfully activated. However, I was advised that the phone was going to receive a OTA software update. The phone immediately went into some type of download mode and the screen on the phone shows the VerizonWireless logo.
I have been waiting over an hour for the phone to do something. The screen still shows the VerizonWireless logo and all keys (including the "END") do not respond. This is to say that I tried to depress the "END" key to shut the phone off and it would not shut off. I did this thinking the phone may have locked-up and I was trying to turn it off in an attempt to re-boot it.
Question 1 - How long shoud it take for the OTA software upgrade to load into my phone (1 hour, 2 hours, more, less)?
Question 2 - If phone is in fact locked up, where do I go from here?
Any help would be sincerely appreciated.

Please disregard my question. My son, who is very impatient, came home and learned that I had been waiting over hour and a half for phone to do something. He called VerizonWireless support and got a very helpful service Rep. on the line. She told hime to remove the battery then re-install the battery and turn the phone back on. The phone re-booted and the necessary software downloaded (it only took one minute for the software to download). The phone then re-booted again and everything seems fine. I have been able to make and receive calls now.
Hope this helps anyone else with similar problem.

Hi - I hope someone can help me with this:
I synchronised my Bold 9700 with my desktop yesterday and the desktop manager requested I complete a software upgrade for the device.
When my BB 9700 had fully rebooted from this process, there was a completely different interface and many of my settings had changed. I have not had enough time to fully explore all the changes, but the most annoying is the loss of my "classic ring tone". I have gone into the menu for ring tones, which seems to have slimmed down considerably from the previous version. The new set of ring tones are not to my liking and there is nothing like my old ring tone available. The nearest one rings only once and the volume is insufficient - I have already missed several calls as a result.
I am with O2 via Carphone Warehouse, whose customer support were unable to assist yesterday.
Grateful for any advice as to how I can get my ringtone back - and also curious to know why BB think the new ring tones are good enough for this new release. They are sub-standard in my opinion.

No On Demand services since new software upgrade

Hi Folks,
I got the new software download on 30th Sep and everything seemed fine until I tried to watch a programme from 4oD last night. I got a DRM1 playback error, immediately followed by an error VCN800: "Ooops there's been an error, try again in a bit"
Over the last ten days I've only watched recorded programmes and BBC iplayer which is working fine. However now I look, I see that none of the other channel catch-up services are working, as well as a few TV box sets and films I've tried - great!
It was all working perfectly until this upgrade.....
I've tried rebooting HH3 and the BT Vision box - and no joy. I can't find these error codes in the list on the website. I see from the forum someone tried these out for a DRM1 error: http://bt.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/42451/c/348 - but not sure about the VCN800 error as I've not found mention of this yet - does anyone have any advice?

MS Exchange calendar no longer syncs with new software upgrade for LG Lucid

Recently downloaded new software for LG Lucid.
Seemed to go well. Mail, OK. Contacts, OK.
Google calendar syncs.
Calendar, won't sync with Outlook. It used to before the upgrade.
Sync buttons are checked in 'accounts'.
Anyone else having this issue?

Its a bummer that the Exchange no longer works since the OS update. Can you elaborate on what happens when you try to establish a connection? Have you tried removing and readding the exchange account? Please keep me posted if this continues.

please help, I have been trying to get my ipad to work again for hours without luck.
After running the new software update on my ipad 2, I started having issues; device turned off by itself, apps couldn't be downloaded, etc (however it was at least working).
Being frustrated with the newly born issues, I decided to restore the ipad, hoping that would solve the issue, however I ended up with the black screen telling me to connect to iTunes and when I connect and go for restore, I get error message 4013 and 21. I tried re-installing iTunes, upgrading my opp system, but nothing,

You say "USB can't be the issue...". I disagree. There are thresholds, etc. Maybe the iPhone passes some threshold, but the iPad does not.
You might reboot all devices. If that does not cure it, then check the TS3694 article I attached above.

Yes... it will come with either 5.01 or 5.1 installed... most likely 5.1 as it's been out for several weeks.
Apple does not have huge warehouses of merchandise just sitting around, it's likely the new iPhone 4 you just purchased came off of a cargo ship or out of a cargo plane within the last month directly from the factory.
