How often do you reboot your phone?

I have had a few times that the phone acted strangely (none or slow responsive, or did things randomly, or just simply freezes). I was able to switch off the phone and restart, it seemed to work then. So I was wondering that I should reboot the phone on a regular base, and any of you has been doing so.
Thanks,

2GB is plenty so this isn't an issue. I've experienced the same as you describe on occasion only but out of habit with my previous GSM phone, I power my iPhone off and on each morning and don't experience any problems.
Have you tried a Reset which is basically a system restart?

  • How often do YOU reset your Home Hub, please?

I have Infinity and Home Hub 3.0 type B.
I posted a few weeks ago about my wireless printer going off-line. To cut a very long story short, the problem was my Home Hub. After resetting it, as someone here advised, my printer worked OK.
The same thing happened last week so out came the giant paperclip and I reset my Home Hub = worked.
I'm having problems connecting to a site - on both my IE8/XP and Win7/IE11 PCs - but a friend gets through OK.
So it's not the site, nor IE8.
My Win7 laptop suggested that I run HP Network Check, which I did. It's fixed a problem - it had to "purge my DNS Resolver cache" - sounds painful - but says I must reset my router.
Does anyone else with a Home Hub 3 have to reset it weekly? What affects the frequency of resetting?
    Thanks in anticipation!

I use an HH3, supplied when I joined BT Internet from Virgin due to appalling service from them.
When using a Netgear or TP-Link router/modem our connection was always 'breaking' and being reset - almost every night!  With the HH3 that doesn't happen so often and the throughput is generally better (despite a slower sync speed being reported!). Reverting to the other router/modems gives the same unreliable service as before.  Even trying a different Billion router/modem gives the same old interuptions, etc.  So I suspect the way the BT Internet system is set up favours the HH range but they appear to have fundemental design problems too.
As for how often I have to do a soft restart, or power cycle, depends on how the exchange equipment decides to reset the connection. It can go for a couple of weeks without a change but then decide to make changes most nights (during the night and not the daytime for some strange reason). When it makes the changes, it always reverts to a much slower sync and throughput with often enormously high noise margins (the ideal for us is about 8 dB but it usually resets to 15-18 dB!). So then a reset is called for and afterwards we generally get fair to good results but rarely anything outstanding. Our line length is a serious limiting factor and we'd love to be able to get ADSL2+ but that is not planned and we'll have to wait for the BDUK Intervention plans to find out if we'll ever get fibre in the area.
And as for 'technical support', as an experienced electronics engineer (now retired after 50 years in the business) I have to cry!  They don't know what they are talking about at all, but read from a script that does not cater for many actual problems.

  • How often do you charge your battery?

Do you charge your battery whenever it's at home, or only when it's running low? And does either method affect porfmorance?

1 - I turn Airplane Mode on when I'm in my office. If I don't the battery is dead before I get to use it at all. Cellphones and iPhones do a constant re-ping that drains the power.
2 - I have an A/C adapter in my backpack and I plug it in the cafeteria to recharge the battery while watching a tv show or surf the web.

  • SMS not sent and appears when you reboot your phone

Hi Guys, it seems this is the only way you can get help. My problem is I tried to send a sms when I didn't have enough funds, so now I deleted that sms, now everytime I reboot or take the battery out a blank sms to that exact person appears in my sms folder, as much as I delete it every time I reboot it comes back, very irritating how do I get rid of it, I have a curve 9360 and running os 7.1, this happened when I was running OS 7 but they dissapeared when I upgraded the os to 7.1 but it happened again when I tried to send a sms and didn't realise I had no money on my phone, pls help

First of all, it sounds like you are indeed on Verizon prepaid service (pay as you go).  If you buy a refill card to add money to your account to pay Verizon, you have prepaid service.  If you had non-prepaid service, you would have gone through a credit check to set up your account and you would get a bill from Verizon each month.
With prepaid service you can get a month of unlimited talk, text, and web (500 MB) for $45 but you have to be signed up for the correct plan.  It sounds like you are on the wrong plan.
Go to My Verizon and look at your Plan.  You are probably on a Daily plan, either Prepaid Basic (25 cents a minute to talk, plus 10 cents for each text) or 99 cent Daily (99 daily access fee, plus 10 cents a minute talk, plus 10 cents for each text). Plus you pay 99 cents for one day of web access with either plan.  Those plans are OK for people who just talk a few minutes here and there, but if you are talking/texting a lot you could easily burn through $70 in just a few days!
In My Verizon, change your plan to a Monthly Plan.  You can select the plan $45 Basic Phone Monthly.  That plan has the features and price you expect.
Unfortunately because of your mistake, you will have to add more money into your account to pay for your first month, but the good news is that you CAN get unlimited talk/text/web 500MB for $45 a month once you switch from a daily plan to a monthly plan.
If you buy another $70 Verizon card, add it to your account, and switch to the $45 Basic Phone Monthly Plan, there will be $25 left in your account to apply toward next month's fee.

  • How often do you update your maps?

I last loaded the maps on my memory card some three weeks ago. I'm thinking once every three months to 6 months should be OK as far as updating them goes as there isn't too much that's really dynamic on them (The city guides might be another matter though) and streets don't appear or disappear too often. Anyone else of a different opinion?

  • How often do you reset your P/NVRAM?

Just curious because every so often (let's call it twice a week), because of one issue or another, I find my self resetting my PRAM. Just wondering if my machine in an abberation?

    Alright everyone,
Well, I dialed up AppleCare and so far they've found no solutions for my issues. But, here's what's going on.
I've twice booted up and got a gray screen with colorful vertical lines filling it! Had to reset my PRAM.
I frequently encounter an issue where I hit the power button and the machine doesn't turn on. I then have to hold it down for a few seconds for it to power up. When this happens, I have to reset the PRAM or else each subsequent booting will necessitate a several seconds power on press.
Sometimes, after the computer's been shut down for a few hours and I come along to turn her on I find that she was indeed actually on (even though I had shutdown hours ago). The top left hand of my laptop (or "notebook") is scorching hot and I hea rhte processor going but no screen activity whatsoever. I have to force a shutdown by holding down the power button in order to have things boot up properly. I reset PRAM then just because it seems necessary.
The computer lags quite often as well. I sometimes perform a PRAM reset then just to see if that improves the sluggish performance.
Everytime I call AppleCare, they have me reset my PRAM. I was under the impression that when it comes to the MacBook, a PRAM reset was my friend. I'm really not too happy with Apple or my Mac purchase.

  • How Often Do You Use Your Creative Play

i use my zen micro about once every 2-4 days, or whenver im on the road. i guess the less u use it, the less chance the jack will break?(hope not jinxing it)

it really depends on normal school days i was using it about 4 hours a day.
whilst revisiong for my a-levels i would be in the libary all day so probably about 8-0 hours a day.
now im on my supper holiday i use it about an hour a day.unless im doing something special, like car journey.
btw, this is my zen micro. hence why the full battery was a big issue to me.

  • How do you find your phone number?

How do you find your phone number?

You can't.  The iPod tuch does not have a phone number.  For the Messages and FaceTime apps you use the email address that yu set them up with.  With some oher texting apps like Text+, the apps assign you a phone number.
