How often is Op Center asset data updated?

The polling interval of data coming back from assets seems to be variable. e.g. if a system is powered off from the O/S rather than thru Op Center then it can take Op Center an hour or more to register that the server is powered down. Some of the system identification data that is found during system discovery never seems to get updated, i.e. if I change the system identification data via the iLOM web interface then Op Center continues to show the old data unless I rediscover the system.
Has anyone found documentation from Oracle on what asset data is routinely polled and updated (dynamic data) vs what data remains static after discovery? Also, can the polling cycle be varied for individual or groups of monitored items?

Per Oracle Customer Care, Staging Incremental ETL's are set for weekly runs on Saturday's at 12:00 PM Central.

  • How often ARE those IPS virus signatures updated?

I was looking at a "show version" on one of my current sensors and noticed that the last virus signature was over 7 months ago. Now, one of the big reasons I was told we had to pay for our 5.x licenses was these virus signatures. If that's true, and this is the additional value Trend Micro has brought to our sensors, should they get updated a little more frequently?
    (from my sensor)
Cisco Intrusion Prevention System, Version 5.1(1p1)S235.0
    Host:
    Realm Keys key1.0
    Signature Definition:
    Signature Update S235.0 2006-06-22
    Virus Update V1.2 2005-11-24

The Virus Signature from Trend was one reason for the licensing in 5.x, but was not the only reason and was not even the primary reason.
Even as far back as version 2.x a Support Contract was required for downloading and installation of signature updates. But was not enforced by the software. We relied on the users keeping the support contracts up to date on their own. Many users downloaded and installed signature updates without paying for the support contract. And the vast majority did not realize that a support contract was needed to receive the signature updates.
With the lack of support contract purchases it became difficult to continue fielding a team for writing IPS signature updates.
So in version 5.x it was decided to begin enforcing the purchase of support contracts through the use of Signature Update Licenses as part of the Cisco Service for IPS Contracts. Thus ensuring funding for the signature team, and allowing the team to spread out world wide for 24 hour coverage.
The additional cost of a Cisco Service for IPS contract when compared to standard SmartNET contracts for other Cisco products is for the specific funding of the Cisco signature team, and a small amount sent to Trend for assistance in signature creation. Only a small portion of the support contract is paid to Trend Micro for their support.
The Virus signatures are part of the Cisco Incident Control System (Cisco ICS). With the purchase of ICS there is a faster deployment of signature for Virus/Worms. When a virus or worm reaches a critical level then TrendMicro can create their own Virus signatures and have Cisco ICS deploy those signature to the sensors as soon as they are written.
Cisco then includes these Virus signatures in a later standard Cisco signature update.
Now as for why there have not been any recent updates to the Virus Signatures is that there has not been a major out break in the past 6/7 months. The virus signatures are only created on an emergency basis when a virus or worm reaches a critical level. Cisco ICS was specifically designed for handling virus and worm outbreaks, and is referred to as Outbreak Prevention.
If the virus/worm does not reach a critical level, then the emergency Virus signatures are not created.
Instead the Cisco signature team will take care of them as part of the standard Cisco signatures that are included as part of the standard S updates.
This doesn't mean that we are not receiving information from Trend. For Virus/Worms that do not reach that critical level, the Trend team will instead send information to Cisco for creation of standard Cisco signatures by the Cisco signature team. This way the Cisco team can create a mroe general signature designed to catch all attacks for a certain vulnerability that will catch that specific virus/worm as well as future virus/worms that may also attempt to exploit the same vulnerability. These signatures wind up as part of the standard S update. This method is used because the Cisco signature team has more in depth knowledge of the various engines in Cisco IPS and can often write signatures that the Trend engineers would not be able to.
It is only when the Trend Micro engineers need to create an emergency update that they will create their V signatures for the specific virus/worm.
Otherwise they share share the information with Cisco and the Cisco engineers creates the signature.

  • Last data update

    Hi,
How I can find the last data update information(date and time) of multiprovider in BW?
    Kindly help on this.
    Regards
    Mukul Singhal

Let me explain how the "last data update" works.
If the query is based on one cube or DSO, it is the time of the last request upload.
If the query is based on a multiprovider, like the example given ealier,
assume there are three cubes in multiprovider :
Last update of cube1 is 11/17/2008
Last update of cube2 is 11/19/2008
Last udpate of cube3 is 11/20/2008.
The "last data update" will be the earliest day of the "last data update"s of all partproviders, i.e.11/17/2008.
Because the meaning of "last data update" is that, data (of all partproviders) has been already updated until this time.
Now we assume there are three cubes like this in multiprovider :
Last update of cube1 is 11/17/2008
Last update of cube2 is 11/19/2008
Cube3 is empty. It has never been loaded with any request.
Then the "last data update" will be empty. Because until no time has all partproviders been updated. This is the design of the system.
    Regards,
    Patricia

  • How Often ContactQueueDetail and ContactCallDetail update

    Hello,
We are running on UCCX 8.0(2). There is a requirement from call center supervisor to have a real-time service level and ASA but these are not in Cisco Supervisor Desktop. We tried to query data from table ContactQueueDetail and ContactCallDetail for data to generate service level and ASA.
Does anyone know how often these tables update? I tried to find it from document Database Schema but could not find this information.
    Thanks,

The document mention "The Unified CCX system creates a new record in the ContactCallDetail table for each call or call leg processed by the system".
And Historical Reporting Administrator and Developer Guide, the document describe about Writting Database Record.
    http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/voice_ip_comm/cust_contact/contact_center/crs/express_8_0/programming/guide/uccx80hradm.pdf
The record is written to database base on call flow (it write to the table immediate when certain call leg processed).

  • I am wondering how often apple updates the App Store which processes new app updates

Does anybody know how often apple updates their stor,  I am waiting for an update to my favorite app to be released

New apps are added daily for the most part.  When a developer submits an update, the update is reviewed.  Depending on the number of apps for review, I have heard it can be a couple of days to a couple of weeks for updates to be made available.  Your app's developer should know the approximate release date (or at least when they submitted the update.).

  • How often does iTunes store update podcast feed?

I've been producing a weekly podcast for six weeks now. My mp3s are hosted on archive.org and I post them on Tumblr. Feedburner pulls the tumblr feed, and iTunes pulls the Feedburner feed. Feedburner usually updates within ten minutes of any new posts or changes I make on Tumblr, and usually, the iTunes podcast page updates just as quickly. Then sometimes, like today, hours go by and I see no update in iTunes and I get paranoid that I did something wrong and wonder if I need to delete and start over again.
I follow the same formula every week with my posts, so I don't believe anything I've done is incorrect (I'm always careful remember to remove the "s" from "https://" which gave me problems when I first started). I just have no idea how often the iTunes Store actually attempts to update. Is there a standard time, or range of time?
Here is my Feedburner page: http://feeds.feedburner.com/YaxzonJackson
Here is the iTunes podcast page: https://itunes.apple.com/us/podcast/yaxzon-jackson/id914021875

When you add a new episode to your feed and upload it, it appears immediately for subscribers because their iTunes application reads the feed directly and the Store is not involved.
However because of the huge number of podcasts in the Store (thousands) the Store caches the feed and checks it for updates periodically. For this reason it usually takes 1-2 days for new episodes to appear in the Store: sometimes it can be less, and occasionally the whole process seems to get stuck and it can take several days.
You podcast is up to date in the Store with an episode posted yesterday; if you've been used to quicker results you've just been lucky; you can't rely on it always happening.

  • How to bring Profit center field in to asset master

    HI,
We are having new GL Profit center scenario active. My question is
1.How to bring Profit center field in to Asset Master?
I am not finding the field"Profit Center" under the configurations step Asset Accounting>Intergration with GL Accounting>Additional Account Assignment objects>>Activate Account assignment objects.
I know how to do it if it the Profit center field appears in the above step.HOW TO INCLUDE in the above step??Is there any prior activity I need to do?
2.If I could see the Profit Center field in the above step, then I can add it in T Code ACSET and select the field in Asset Screen Layout,so that it can come up in Asset Master.
If question#1 can be answered it will be great.

    Hi,
Until some years ago Profit Center did not exist in FI-AA master data. The Profit Center was derived from other objects (like the cost center) during posting, but there was no way to enter a Profit Center directly in the asset.
Asset master data has been enhanced with EHP 5 to contain also fields for Profit Center and Segment. To make use of that functionality you need to activate the Business Function for "Segment Reporting" as explained in the Link posted by Jayj before.
Once Business Function "Segment Reporting" is active, you will be able to make ACSET settings for the Profit Center like for the other account assignment objects. Without the Business Function the field does not exist in asset accounting and therefore you cannot find it in customizing.

  • How often/when download/update maps from OVI?

How often are OVI-maps updated? If I pre-load a country to my phone (OVI maps beta 3.06) do I need to manually re-download it to get ofline-mapdata-updates, and in that case, how do I know when I need to do that?
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

I sync my phone at least once a week with Ovi Suite, whenever you do this it will tell you that new software /maps are available, you are not going to get maps updated that often, three to four times maybe, unless the actual application itself is updated to a version requiring map data to be changed due to compatibility issues !

  • How often do they update maps, anyone?

My address has been on the map for over 2 years now and it still doesn't show up on the "latest" ovi maps. When I use my GPS I have to use the street outside the sub-division as a starting point. I think I would rather pay for a stand alone GPS and a cheaper phone. 2 1/2 years come on! The funny thing is that Nokia uses Navteq as one of its maps providers, but their map shows my address. (I am using a 5800 Navigator)

Nokia's map data is indeed usually updated about four times a year, but how often the source data is upated is less clear.
There are now three digital mapping companies, Navteq (recently bought by Nokia), TeleAtlas (recently bought by TomTom) and Google. These all produce their own data from combinations of data from the mapping authorities in each country, research done by themselves by street-level study and/or satellite imagery and information provided by individual users - data from these sources is cross-checked and then finally makes it into the map data used for various softwares.
For obvious reasons, big cities and major routes receive priority attention over smaller towns and villages so that the largest possible groups of users benefit from update cycles, places that few people visit are often left behind.

  • Restricting Creation/Update of Profit Center Master Data through KE51/KE52

    Hi,
I have a scenario where profit center master data is maintained in MDM which acts as central repository and the master data is syndicated from MDM to ECC through PRCMAS IDoc. Business requirement is that since MDM is acting as central repository creation/update for profit center through transactions KE51/KE52 should be restricted in ECC. I know that through roles we can restrict user to create profit centers but is there any way/configuration steps which we can perform to restrict user to create profit centers through transaction and I also want to know if that process would affect the creation/updation of master data through PRCMAS IDoc.
    Thanks,
    Amit

    Hi,
As I told you can go forward using SetID but for that you have to create the SET than assign it to a table and also have to cutomize a standard FM.
Meanwhile I will tell you a easy way you can opt for Transaction Variant usinh SHD0 where dont give the option to save so that no user can create any Profit Centre and than assign that Tcode to the users.
Its a simple way hope it helps you.
    Thanks
    Arbind

i was updating software and suddenly my IPHONE  started asking for I tunes on mobile screen ,  how can  i  get by screen back or How i can restore without loosing data , I m more worried about data , Please help in resolutio

What exactly are you seeing on the phone's screen ? If the iTunes icon and cable then the phone is in recovery mode, in which case it's too late to take a new backup or to copy any content off the phone - you will have to connect the phone to your computer's iTunes and reset it back to factory defaults, after which you can restore to the last backup that you took or just resync your content to it

  • How often does the Apple TV sync with updated home sharing playlists?

I am trying to use several Apple TV's at my business for content management throughout our campus.  I want to be able to have a playlist of pictures and videos that is easy to update.  Can anyone tell me how often the Apple TV syncs with the home sharing network for an updated playlist?  It would be very inconvenient if the only way was to do a reboot on every device each time content was updated.

    Welcome to the Apple community.
I can't really say for sure how often the Apple TV updates its shared libraries.
I do however know that once the Apple TV as completed playing something, it will sync with the shared library in order to update the play count. So I'd be reasonably sure that the shared library is updated at least once every time something is played.

  • How can I set the insert date to auto update in Pages 5.2.2

how can I set the insert date to auto update in Pages 5.2.2
I am attempting to have the date in header auto update in a Pages file.
I can insert it, but where is the AUTO UPDATE selection
    OS10.9.4
    thank you

Apple never included the auto-update feature for dates in Pages v5.2.2. You would have to single-click the date, and deliberately update it.
If you have Pages ’09 v4.3 in /Applications/iWork '09, then it will allow you to configure auto-update of the date field. Right-click on the date, set the format, and click the selection for automatically update on open.
