How often should I have to Sign In?

Hi all
I have Photoshop CC (as part of the Photography Program). I thought I should only have to "Sign In" once every 30 days or so?
So far I am having to Sign in at least a couple of times a day sometimes more.
It isnt a huge problem at the moment as I have good solid internet access - But I wouldnt want to be in a situation where the internet is temporiarily down and I need to use the software.
Cheers
John

Next time it happens close PS and then right click on PS icon and choose "Run as Administrator".  Sign in a see if it sticks.  Even it sole administrator this option gives you a little more permission leeway.

How often should the 6509's and 3750's switches be rebooted?
Does Cisco have a best practice document on this and recommendation how long the switch should be up before it gets rebooted?
Why is a reboot needed if there are no indications of issues on the log?

    I'd agree with Larry here.
If you're not seeing any issues with your IOS revision and there are no relevant PSIRTs (security notices applicalble to features and or exposure of your device requiring an IOS upgrade) then you can go a very long time without rebooting, if ever.
I'm sure it's far from a record, but our corporate distribution router that supports >1000 downstream devices day in and day out has never been rebooted since installation just over 5 years ago. I have a top of rack Layer 2 switch (2900 series running CatOS) that's almost at 10 years.
That said, you should have some monitoring scheme that assures you everything is healthy. But as long as memory and cpu are happy, the device will run forever.

  • How often should I condition the Raid?

Can someone help me understand what this does and how often should it be done.
Why wasn't an automated feature added to do this periodically?
Can bad things happen when you condition an array?
    Thanks,
    Jorge

FWIW I have never conditioned any of my arrays, and I have 16 of them, all of which have been running 24/7 since they day they were each installed. I've never even thought about doing it.

  • How often should you do the maintenace cron scripts??

    Hi all,
As the subject suggests, I just like to know how often should you run those maintenace cron scripts???
    thanks...
    Johnny
    * I don't know if this is the place for this question, if not, then I am sorry. *

    macuserguy,
You may find Dr. Smoke's excellent FAQ about Running the Mac OS X maintenance scripts helpful.
The FAQ suggests approximately weekly basis (especially if your Mac is shutdown or in sleep mode overnight) though perhaps more frequently if you have a smaller HD as these log files can take up alot of room.
    Hope that helps some,

  • How often should the SMP server get restarted? Cockpit message "Restart Required!"

How often should I restart the SAP Mobile Platform server? I have received a message in the SMP Management Cockpit that states "Restart Required!".

    Hi Darrel,
Batish is right there is no need to restart server unless you change specific settings that need a restart. Ex. cache settings. You can find an "i" symbol next to these fields which need a restart if you change these values.
Also server restart is needed if you change any config files ex. admin-role-mapping.xml.
Are you able to reproduce this issue. Could you give a screen shot of this issue. What is the version of server?

  • How often should I charge my new macbook pro with retina display?

hi everybody! I just got my macbook today and I want to take good care of it so it lasts me a while, and I'm particularly concerned about the battery life. what ensures that I can maintain a battery that will drain the slowest? or in other words, what are healthy charging habits? I'm a student so I'll be using it more than  a few hours daily. should I turn off my macbook or set it to sleep when I'm going to sleep for the night (~6 hours). is there ever a time when sleep is preferable to shut down? when I'm using it for an extended period of time, is it better to run it down and charge it or to leave it charging at 100%? how often should I run down the battery, or if not, what level should I run it down to before charging it again? I read somewhere that it's best to charge it to 80% instead of 100%, is there any truth to this? any input is appreciated, thanks.

  • How much should i have free storsge on my ipad air 1

HEllo guys i have ipad air 1...how much storage should i have free to make it run fast and smooth?because i heart if i installed lot of apps snd fulled up memory it will be slow and i might be facing freezes...so how much should i have free?and thanks

I know you are looking for a number, but it's really hard to gauge. IMO, some of the problems with performance can be due to having corrupt files or settings on the device and that can happen if you have 2/3 of the space free on your iPad.
IF you really want a number, keep about 5% of the storage free, so if you have 55 GB of storage available overall, make sure that you keep about 2-3 GB free. That is merely an estimate - or better yet - a guesstimate.

  • How often should I charge MBP Retina 13 (mid 2014)?

    Hi,
I didn't find an accurate answer for this question over the Internet, so I think I need a specialist opinion. As all we know, MBP batteries are not easy removeable, thus we should care about them more. I work on MBP for whole days, thus sometimes I need to charge it even twice a day. Charging once a day is a standard for me.
My ordinary (daily) charging looks like that:
    (I have fully charged MBP)
    1. I work until the battery level decreases until about 8%.
    2. I charge it to 100% and unplug it from the power source.
And I do this every day. Should change my charging customs and use a power supply instead more often (if yes, how often?) or not. I know how to care about the battery, about fully charge and discharge once a double week. Usually when working on a non-Mac notebook and I just removed the battery and used the power supply for whole day. Now it's obviously not possible becauses of loosing power cycles.
    Please answer and thank you.

As Esquared said, it is not good to drain your battery down to 8%. You will wear it out quicker that way.
Leaving the charger plugged in permanently is not a good idea either. The 95% to 100% you mention is when you leave the charger plugged in and it will drop about 1 percentage point a day even when the computer is shut down until it reaches 95% and then start recharging up to 100%. This will keep your cycle count low but is not good for the battery in the long run as it need to "breathe" so to speak.
Seeing that you use your computer so much, you must expect the battery life to run out accordingly, so don't worry too much about cycle count. About once a month or every three weeks or so, unplug the charger and let the battery go down to 40 or 50 percent of charge remaining then plug it back in. This should keep your battery reasonably fit.

  • How I fixed: You have been signed out problem in 2 minutes!

Very frustratingly I was having the same problem with Creative Cloud saying you have been signed out all the time, so I was reading through the forum and got some ideas, so this is what I did and finally I can get back to work and hopefully help some of you solve this problem too:
    1. Completely uninstall CC from your computer. Also remove the exe. file from the previous download in your downloads folder, just to be save.
    2. Download the Adobe cleaner tool.
    3. Use the Adobe cleaner tool and select on the questions to remove ALL files. Make sure you have backed up important docs or images before doing this.
    4. Restart your computer.
    5. Download Adobe CC again.
    6. Accept terms and conditions.
    7. Sign in and whoala - Happiness!!
Hope this helps some of you too.
    Adel

Again, the "you've been signed out" strikes again!
This is becoming very-very-very annoying, Adobe. I am starting to think about you with very-very-very bad words.
As earlier this year, I have used the Adobe Cleaner Tool, got everything wiped, after that, cleaned my computer... Last time, I have also reinstalled the entire system. Clean Windows. New and updated drivers. This have happend last week. Everything worked great.
Today, the Creative Cloud it is once again a troll.
I am convinced that this tool, as good and professional can be, doesn't deserve that much attention. I will not continue to use payed Adobe products. I know that it is not nice to do that, but when such a big company as Adobe consider that a minor bug as this one can be resolved by users by work-arrounds, repetedly and without any sence, and paying for that also, I start consider Adobe a scam company.
    So, P-H-A-C-K-Y-O-U, Adobe!

You can set your update preferences [Edit | Preferences | Updates].

  • How often do you have to restart your iPhone?

I've had mine almost 2 weeks. Occasionally, when I open an application, the application opens a blank white notebook page then flips back to the main menu. This happens most often with the SMS, Photos, Safari, and iPod. If I shut the phone down and restart, everything works fine. This has happened about a half dozen times in the last week and a half. Way to often in my opinion.
Is anyone else experiencing this? I should make a Genius bar appt, but the problem is with replicating the issue while I'm there. The phone will be 2 weeks old on Friday. Should I take it back and exchange it before the 14 days is up? Thanks in advance.

Alright... took it to the Apple Store and they swapped it out. I'm not sure about other Apple Stores, but the one here in D.C. (Pentagon City) is an absolute nightmare. Total chaos. I'm not sure if Apple is doing itself a service by running stores like that. The one here operates like a BestBuy, you have to chase someone down for help, and that's basically to have them retrieve the item for you. They didn't know how to swap out a SIM card, and tried to send me down to the ATT kiosk to activate it. Unbelievable. At any rate, this case is solved and I'm happy with my new phone.

  • How often should I charge it?

I have heard that if you charge it often like every day and you only use a little battery for that charge it will create a 'memory' and will affect battery life. So my question is should i charge it nightly or only when the battery is low

here is some very good battery information
