How ofter should I charge my iPhone G3?

My phone does not seem to hold a charge very long. I'm not playing music, reading books or watching movies.  I do email, photos, some apps. and of course use the phone. I seem to go from 100% to 60% pretty quickly. I charge each evening and sometimes more frequently.

drain it all the way down til it's dead, then charge it back up to calibrate it.
if the issue still persists, then it's probalby nearing the end of it's life and you should replace it.

    From the above link...
For proper maintenance of a lithium-based battery, it’s important to keep the electrons in it moving occasionally. Be sure to go through at least one charge cycle per month (charging the battery to 100% and then completely running it down).

Hi! How many hours should I charge my iPhone 5 for the first time use?

However long you like. There is no help or harm in charging it for a given amount of time.

How long should I charge my phone before using?

There is no required charging time. Use it and charge it when its convenient.
You should however not let it drop below 20% charge too often.  Once a month is suggested to re-calibrate the battery meter.
Other than that charge and use as you like.

  • How long should I charge the New iPad battery ??

    Hi,
    Can someone tell me :
How long should I charge the New iPad battery ??
i dont know, and i cant find this on the apple page.
i know that with the iPod Touch Five and Four Generation, the charge its only 2-4 hours but on the iPad how long is the charge?
    im really miss it!
    Can someone help me ?
    Thanks!!

The quickest way (and really the only way) to charge your iPad is with the included 10W USB Power Adapter. iPad will also charge, although more slowly, when attached to a computer with a high-power USB port (many recent Mac computers) or with an iPhone Power Adapter (5W). When attached to a computer via a standard USB port (most PCs or older Mac computers) iPad will charge very slowly (but iPad indicates not charging). Make sure your computer is on while charging iPad via USB. If iPad is connected to a computer that’s turned off or is in sleep or standby mode, the iPad battery will continue to drain.
Apple recommends that once a month you let the iPad fully discharge & then recharge to 100%.

It will charge to 100% in 4 hours 2 minutes. The new iPad has a larger capacity battery (42 watt-hours), so using the 10W charger will obviously take longer. If you are using your iPad while charging, it will take even longer. It's best to turn your new iPad OFF and charge over night. • HT3053 How long should I charged new battery in MacBook pro?

How long should I charged new battery in MacBook pro?

You can leave it plugged in all the time if you wish.
Once your Macbook is fully charged, it stops charging.
You can see this if you click on your apple logo, about this mac, more info, system report, power.
In any event, it is also a good idea to use your Macbook under it's own power to keep the battery in optimal condition.
As much as possible, try not to fully discharge your battery.  It could do more harm than good to your Macbook.
Good luck and enjoy your macbook

I'm thinking you may have the concern of not overcharging or messing with charge cycles of your phone, but according to apple the Li-ion batteries in iDevices work this way for example
-Your phone has 50% battery left, you charge it
-after using again, you're back with 50 and charging it till full once again makes it 1 charge cycle
    Doesn't work like nickel batteries.

  • How often should I charge my new macbook pro with retina display?

hi everybody! I just got my macbook today and I want to take good care of it so it lasts me a while, and I'm particularly concerned about the battery life. what ensures that I can maintain a battery that will drain the slowest? or in other words, what are healthy charging habits? I'm a student so I'll be using it more than  a few hours daily. should I turn off my macbook or set it to sleep when I'm going to sleep for the night (~6 hours). is there ever a time when sleep is preferable to shut down? when I'm using it for an extended period of time, is it better to run it down and charge it or to leave it charging at 100%? how often should I run down the battery, or if not, what level should I run it down to before charging it again? I read somewhere that it's best to charge it to 80% instead of 100%, is there any truth to this? any input is appreciated, thanks.

  • How long should I leave my iPhone in rice?

My younger sister accidently spilled water on my iphone 4. It seemed okay but it kept trying to turn itself off so I put it in rice and its been in there for about 3 days now. How long should I leave it in there to insure that it will be OK?

you can't be sure if it's ok
But three days should do the trick. Good luck

  • How often should I charge it?

I have heard that if you charge it often like every day and you only use a little battery for that charge it will create a 'memory' and will affect battery life. So my question is should i charge it nightly or only when the battery is low

  • Selling iPhone - How much should I charge?

I was at a company function today and someone came up to me and wanted to buy my iPhone. I have the 1st generation 8GB phone, which is in fine condition. When I research how much I should charged, I just saw a lot of unlocked phones. Mine is not unlocked. It is regular, 8GB from the Apple store and I have AT&T service.
I don't want to over charge my colleague, but I would like to get as much as I can for it so that I can get a new iPhone. (Whole story is that this person from work wants a 3G, and will buy mine to give to her husband, that way they both have one, but he doesn't need the 3G version).
Anyone have a recommendation for how much I should charge? Can I expect $199 or more, or does that seem a bit unreasonable?
    Thanks for your perpsective.

Well, you should be able to charge more considering:
    1) iPhone 3G is not yet available really...
    2) They may not want an iPhone 3G because they dont want to sign a new activation with AT&T. With the old iPhone, they can just pop in their old sim card from their phone and they are good to go...
    3) People may want an unlocked phone (which cannot happen to 3G iPhones because you must sign a new contract to purchase one...
I would say that even though the newer models are $200, older models are more valuble to people not in the market to terminate or extend their phone providers contracts... I'd say between $300 and $500 at this point depending on if the phone is in good condition and/or unlocked.

  • Should I charge my iphone 5S overnight?

I've heard mixed opinions and was wondering if I should leave my iphone on charge overnight and if it will affect my battery life.

It only costs somewhere near .50 cents a year to charge your phone... (see link)
    http://lifehacker.com/5948075/how-much-energy-a-smartphone-uses-in-a-year-and-wh at-it-means-for-your-budget
Apple designed the iPhone to handle all sorts of charging events.
Overcharging? Not possible (otherwise the phones would explode every day)
Will it damage the battery to be on AC power for days?
    No
Why is my iPhone hot while being charged?
When using the iPhone + charger (usually in the car) due to the heavy demand of the screen + GPS + data connection all going at the same time, there is a significant spike in processing/heat generated from that.
Once again, Apple has designed the phone to handle it.
If you don't feel comfortable charging a hot phone, let it cool down (which is wise anyways)
Lastly the iPhone is fully charged at 98-100% it will shut off the charging circuit and then run on AC power, (that is what the plug symbol means)

  • How much should be charged for a recording session?

In the future after I master the art of home recording, (well at least as far as garageband will take me) I'd like to make alittle money recording artists around the area that don't have access or the know how to record themselves. I'm talking about simple stuff like recording a guy and his guitar, and maybe a bass or keyboard tops. How much would you guys suggest charging for this service?

It's not that no one wants to, it's just that there's no way to answer the question. You should probably ask your potential clients what they are willing to pay, or call up a studio in your area and see how much they charge. It really depends on your competition. It's just like any other business. It's your customers that will decide if your product provides a good value. Given that more and more people are getting Garageband and the price of good quality interfaces is going down, it will be your expertise that people will be paying for. It's hard to tell what your level of expertise will be at some point in the future.

You don't need to charge an iPad when you first get it. You can charge at any time.
    FYI
