What do you mean by migration? you are migrating to another hardware? or you are upgrading from basic to advanced license?

Upgrading Oracle soa suite 10.1.3.1 to 10.1.3.4 by Basic and Advance instal

Hi,
i have installed oracle soa suite 10.1.3.1 basic installation and needs to upgrade to 10.1.3.4 . I searched in google some suggested
1) install database 10g xe or some version 10.2+
2) to run irca.cmd script for creating dehydration store
3) Install oracle soa suite basic installation 10.1.3.1
4) Before applying patch run sql scripts
5) apply patch to upgrade to 10.1.3.4
Here i have one doubt in basic installation oracle lite database will be installed by default then how do i relate external database to soa suite in basic installation . Is it possible ?
If we use default database oracle lite for upgrade to 10.1.3.4 and i think it will ask for orabpel and oraesb used id and pwd when we are running the sql scripts which i am not aware of?
and do i still need to run irca.cmd script for creatinv schemas.
I am so confused here i just want to know the steps of upgrade in basic and advance soa installation.
Any answer will be very much appreciable.

af:query basic and advanced mode

When UI Hints Search Region Mode is Advanced, how can I display <af:query> in basic mode on the first time loading without doing any action?

There is a usage for 'Adanced' mode so cannot change mode to 'Basic'.
However, I only want to display "Basic" mode in my ui. No buttons to switch between "Basic" and "Advance".
I set following properties:
displayMode="simple"
SaveQueryMode = "hidden"
ModeChangeVisible = "false"
In this situation, How can I do it? The ways you suggested require some action(like clicking on buttons or change input text value). Those do not exist in my UI.

I was working on images and then when I picked a different image the basic and camera calibration sub panels disappeared. How do I get them back?

Right click on one of the other headers and a popup will appear and you can select the ones you need to view.

I have a mac mini Intel core 2 duo, 1.83 GHz, 2 GB SDRam running Mac OSX 10.6.8. Several of my software apps states its 64 Bit Intel. Can I run Mountian Lion? I have no idea how old my mini is or how to find out. I really just want to use the icloud. ANY help would be GREATLY appreciated.

It would appear you have a Mid-2007 model. You can run Lion but not Mountain Lion. iCloud works with Lion 10.7.2 or later.
Upgrading to Lion

URGENT: How to selectively migrate composite instances and task data from one env to another

We've come across a situation whereby we need to migrate instance data (including Human Task related) of some specific composites from one environment to another.
(Environment is equivalent here to a different domain installation on different physical server.)
Is this possible in some standard way like using Oracle import-export utility or script?
If not, how can this be achieved?

Hi,
If your SharePoint environment supports InfoPath Forms, then you can customize the form and add rules to make the list items as read only when user A submits the form.
you can then write a form load event to check the logged in user using username() function. This logic can be implemented in variety of ways, like setting a flag when User A submits the form, or storing user A username in a form variable etc., else comparing
User A and User B values within form Load event.
Another way of doing this is using Views or grouping all of the User A fields within a section etc.,
The above would take care of Form logic, and for the workflow, you can use SharePoint designer to create a custom workflow, where it will run on onItemCreate and onItemChange events.
The logic for workflow would be if the form Submitted for the first time, the workflow will start and send an email to User B, and when User B submits the Data then onItemChange change event will start the workflow to send an email to approver to approve
the data.

Basic and advanced src-ip balancing

What is the 'key' difference between the basic src-ip method and the advanced sticky src-ip methods?
I can understand in the advanced one, CSS actually "sticks" a client to a server based on the client's source IP address.
I can understand the basic one as well, CSS directs all client requests coming from the same source IP address to the same service. So, this method too provides a bit of stickness.
The question is how does they differ from each other, in what detail.

the sticky method (advanced) creates a sticky table, each entry containing client-ip/server-ip. When a server goes down, the entry is removed and a new one created.
The standard method does not use a sticky table but a hash algorithm. The algorithm takes the client ip and returns the index of a server.
The same client ip returns always the same index.
If a server goes down, the algorithm select the next available index.
This is where is the difference.
Assume the hash algorithm returns index of server-A. While A is alive, everything is fine. When A goes down, traffic will be sent to the next index, let's say B.
When A comes back alive, traffic is again sent to A.
With the advanced method, since a new entry pointing to B is created when A is down, when A comes back up, traffic is still sent to B.
Another difference is if you add or remove servers from the list. The hash algorithm may return different index.

How do I read a character and advance the scanner to the next one?

I'm writing a lexical and grammar analyzer and I don't usually program in Java. I have a method that reads one character and then parses it. The problem is that it keeps reading the same character over and over again, so my program gets stuck in an infinite loop.
How do I make it so that BufferedReader advances to the next character in the string?
Here is the code so far:

Do you still have access to your old hard drive, or a backup of your old hard drive? You often can retrieve your bookmarks, saved passwords, settings, add-ons, and so forth from that. If you have access, a volunteer here can describe the process in more detail.

How do I migrate working docs and data from my Mac Pro to my iCloud account?

Ive just upgraded to IOS 5 in the belief I can make even better use of my iPhone by using it as a fully featured PDA. This really requires the shuffling of docments and spreadsheets in between my iPhone when I'm mobile and my Mac when I'm back at my desk and need the full functionality it has. Until I can find a way to move things from the Mac into the cloudI'm stuck. This may be a stupid question but it, to me, is a fairly fundemental one.

Plex is a bit of a commitment since it creates a library on a server that you can watch from anywhere on just about any sort of device. If it's something you're going to do frequently (e.g. build a library of mkv or mpeg or avi files) then it's a great solution.
I think you can probably run the client and the server on the same machine, if you want, though I haven't tried doing it before. Plex can be found at http://www.plexapp.com
The client (called Plex Home Theater) has a setting that allows you to pipe the raw bitstream directlty through the optical connections. I rip most of my Blurays with the DTS track and plex handles it beautifully by simply passing the data to the optical out connection which gets decoded by my reciever.
Let me know if you have a hard time finding the setting and I'll boot up my copy and see where they moved it.
