How on earth do you get in touch with HP Support center?
I've phoned, mailed, used web forms - total silence. One of our customers bought a HP pavilion dv7 from us and it´s got hardware errors so the customer returned it. It's dead and of no use to us, still under warranty, and we intend to return it to HP so we can get our money back.
Mailed four times I think. First time I managed to get a case number, but searching for this number yields "case not found". Does't HP want to handle dead laptops, or what on earth is going on?!

Just how on earth do you get menu transitions with sound to work???

I've tried importing them as DVD compliant MPEG-2s (audio and video multiplexed) made with Main Concept and also tried importing them as AVIs.
Encore seems incapable of transcoding either. Yes, it does try to transcode the MPEG-2s even though I've asked it not to. It seems that even DVD compliant files must be transcoded when used as transitions. It doesn't try to transcode motion menu or timeline MPEG-2s created in exactly the same way.
Can someone tell me exactly what Encore requires me to import to get working transitions with sound? Exact format, sound resolution, number of channels, bitrate, file type, etc. Is there a minimum length for transitions? Mine are 1 second long - they're just the transition flipping from page to page in a notebook.
Is there something else I'm missing or is Encore just not capable of doing this?
I think I'm going to have to just scrap the transitions otherwise :(

One second is awfully short for an MPEG video clip. You're really challenging the MPEG decoder on the playback device. And if you're using .ac3 audio, it can take up to 2 seconds for the AC3 decoder on a hardware or software DVD player to lock on to the audio stream. Dolby themselves recommend 2 seconds of audio "black" at the beginning of an .ac3 soundtrack.
So - try lengthening the transition; or use PCM audio in your project instead of .ac3. Unfortunately, the PCM audio route leads to less space on the disc for your video.

If trying to move media, using home sharing is simply a bad idea. Follow some of the other instructions in the article from which the question was posted to move media.

Apple does not have email support. If you're not getting the email verification from Apple, check your anti-spam filters, on your computer and with your email provider, to make sure that emails from Apple aren't being blocked. I bought the blackerry curve 9360 (brand new) from virgin media £13 a month (for 2 years), less than a year ago (about 8 months ago) and multiple times the buttons stop working (but just for the day) it will let me scroll on some things and not others the phone restarts it self and freezes on a daily basis. the battery life was awful it lasted me only a few hours when i would charge it over night everynight. today i woke up and it wouldnt switch on so i took the battery out and put it back in then it wouldnt even let me unlock the phone all the keys wernt working! i have taken the battery out 5 time now and i still havent even unlocked it. i have never dropped or damaged this phone it still looks new on the ouside! i have tried calling the company about 3 months after i purchased it for theses reasons and they told me to update the phone and if i still have troubles to contact blackberry. with the new updated software the battery life is alot better but everything else is still terrible.

its to my understanding that us users cant directly contact blackberry and all issues with the device should be taken up through the place that we got them from i.e in this instance virgin media should arrange for the phone to be fixed im pretty sure this is the case and they have to deal with it for you. Virgin are useless alot of the time so id suggest asking to go through to retentions office when you ring as they are the people who can really sort any problems out instead of the customer service team
