How OPP concurrent manager actual & target values differ?

Hi
How come OPP concurrent manager actual (6) & target (3) values differ? What causes this to change? Where as work shifts>parameter values also did not change (oracle.apps.fnd.cp.opp.OPPServiceThread:2:0:max_threads=10).
Any tip.
Regards
Arizuddin

Hi,
Please see whether the following docs applies to you:
- Number Of Output Post Processing (OPP) Processes Started Are Higher Than The Target [ID 1515086.1]
- Output Post Processor Actual Process Is 3 And Target Process Is 4 [ID 1378575.1]
And also see the following links as it is discussed before:
differnce in actual and target process-concurrent
Concurrent managers are not starting & Actual/Target count is not same
concurrent manager actual and target different
Hope this helps

From System Administrator responsibility, navigate to Concurrent > Manager > Administer. Query "Standard Manager", click on "Work Shifts" and verify the number of Processes.
2-The problem is basically, concurrent manager processing is very slow.Do you run "Purge Concurrent Request and/or Manager Data" concurrent program on regular basis?
How many rows you have in the FND_CONCURRENT_PROCESSES and FND_CONCURRENT_REQUESTS tables? Make sure it does in exceed 50K by running "Purge Concurrent Request and/or Manager Data" concurrent program.

  • OPP concurrnet manager inconsistent (Target and actual Process mismatch)

    Hi All,
Some time when we bounce the CM all managers are running fine but OPP is not coming up.We are not getting any error in the opp log file.Althoghough after cleaning the OPP process completely the OPP is coming up but the target and actual process are not same. what should be done to match the actuall and target process of OPP.
please find my application release details:
    EBS:12.1.3
    DB:11.2.0.2
    OS:HPUX
    Thanks!!!

    Hi Kashif,
    Thanks for your response.
We havent run the cmclean.sql script. We manually clean the OPP process(System process) and then deactivate and activate it.Now OPP is running fine. But the actuall and target prcess are not same. actuall process is 4 and target process is 5.In workshift the no of process for opp is 5.

  • How do you manage different target platforms from one FLA?

I am in the throes of trying to publish an app for both iOS and Android mobile devices and am having trouble finding some guides related to how to most easily target these two platforms without duplicating code or FLA files.
So far, I have one single code base that checks CONFIG::DEVICE constant to know what platform dependant classes it should or shouldn't use, but as for the FLA, I have two copies of this same FLA with different publishing settings (one set for iOS and one set for Android, and each with the appropriate difference set in the config constant). Needless to say, managing two FLAs with nearly identical content is a pain in the butt.
How am I supposed to do it (using Flash Professional CS6)? I was considering using "Profiles" (upper left corner of Publish Settings panel) but in the past whenever I've relied on Profiles it has been unrealiable. For example, the SWF file name doesn't change, making it a pain to try and make a seperate SWF for iOS and one for Android. If I just change the target platform in the pulldown mennu for that, will it remember the old settings when I come back to a previous selection? (ie: AIR 3.6 for ios, vs AIR 3.6 for Android, etc)
Suggestions?  I couldn't find anything by Googling.

Sure but why doesn't Adobe, who has been pitching Flash & Adobe AIR as "author once, publish to multiple targets" fix this very simple problem?
I experimented some more and I managed to set up one FLA with two profiles. One is configured for iOS and the other is configured for Android. It WORKS fine except the iOS settings loses all the icons except for the 3 it has in common with the Android side. Conversely, the Android side loses extra Manifest parameters I need for Admob extension integration. It's quite frustrating that this works up to 95% and then loses it. All they really need to do is tie separate app.xml files to seperate publishing profiles.
One way around this would be if I set each profile to publish to a different swf file. AH, but guess what, that is the ONE setting that a profile does NOT save!!!!!!
    Thanks for your tip though.

  • Issue in Concurrent manager

    Hi All,
Last week I faced one issue related with concurrent manager. From the development side, they said submitted concurrent requests(which is normally run by standard manager) were in pending& normal status. I checked the standard manager .It shows actual: 1 and target: 8. In standard manager one request was running.I have deactivated and activated the standard manager. It solved the problem. But I didn't check the status of those request which were in pending&normal stage.
I know that when we deactivate standard manager it will alllow the running requests to complete. But what will happen to those requests in
pending&normal(which needs to be run asap) status?
and also why suddenly there was a difference between actual and target process?
    Thanks,
    RajaSekar

Pending requests will be processed with the priority given.
    In concurrent manager,
Actual Processes: The number of operating system processes that means the processes that are actually running.
Target Processes: The max number of service processes that can be active for this service.
Usually both actual and target are same.

  • Target Value

    Dear All:
How can I use the target value of any characteristic as a trigger for an order or a notification?
    Thanks

    Hefni,
Then you will need to utilise user-exit [IMRC0001|http://pjatkin.users.btopenworld.com/documents/PMCSUserExits.pdf] (MeasPoint/MeasDoc: Exit before update (after COMMIT WORK)) to create a notification.
This must have been done a hundred times before: has anyone got some ABAP code to share?

  • STARTING CONCURRENT MANAGER

    I have a doubt.
When i start concurrent manager i usually notice that
when i go to administer concurrent manager the target and the host processes are not matching
and then i run the ./adcmctl.sh start apps/*** again and then i see that they are equal.
what i am trying to understand is that why do we need to start it again although the status
shows active when i do ./adcmctl.sh status apps/***

Please run cmclean.sql and try to re-produce the issue (Make sure you shutdown the CM before running this script).

  • Concurrent manger  Actual Processes vs Target Processes

    hi all
my concurrent manger many of Service Instance are showing :
    Actual Processes 0
    Target Processes 1
how can i bring them both Actual Processes, Target Processes same number of Processes . Is cmclean.sql script bring them both to 0 processes?.
how to bring down both to normal.
    thnks,

Pl post your full OS and EBS versions. Pl check the concurrent manager log to see if any errors are recorded there ? Are all of your concurrent processes running normally ? Do all managers how a discrepancy, or is it only a few ? If so, which ones ? Stopping the concurrent managers, running cmclean.sql and restarting the concurrent managers may help.

  • How to migrate the concurrent manager to another server

    Dear all,
My EBS structure is DB+APP. but now, the APP pressure is very high because this server includes another test intsance. I want to migrate the concurrent manager from the APP server to DB server, How I can do this?
My EBS is 11.5.10.2 and the platform is AIX 5.2
    Thanks

Can I use the following the Note:230672.1 step to add this DB node as the application node:
    ========================================================
You can use Rapid Clone to clone a node and add it to the existing Application System. The new node will run the same or a subset of the server types running on the source node. Follow the instructions in the Application Tier part of Clone Oracle Applications 11i:
Prepare the source system, copy it to the new node and configure it.
After adcfgclone.pl completes, source the Applications environment and run the following commands on the target system:
    cd <COMMON_TOP>/clone/bin
    perl adaddnode.pl

  • How to convert a measure value to null when the actual measure value is 0

    Hello Gurus,
I have year, products, measure 1, measure 2, measure 3. I am added three products into one category by using bin in the analysis i am getting zeros for some of the measure cells when it should be null values, because the actual measure values are null for indivudual product. How can i convert that 0's to null. Please advise.
    Thanks,
    RC

To answer your immediate question, you can write this:
CASE WHEN table.column = 0 THEN NULL ELSE table.column END
Remember though, that any aggregations done on a record that is NULL will not yield a sum. That is why the usual case is to convert NULLs to 0s. But that may not be a concern for what you are doing. Good luck!

  • How to put identical target value in value mapping table

    Hi all ,
I am implementing a value mapping function .Problem is occuring for repetated target value.for ex: if key is GL001 GL002 GL003  and destination value is 4 5 4 then its creating problem for identical values i.e for  both GL001 & GLOO3 its not accepting 4 .Same manner for many diffrent glncode i have  identical values.not understanding how to deal with these identical values please guide me as its very urgent.
    Regards,
    Saurabh

    Hi saurabh,
    you can try this out....
First you create a value mapping table in ID like:
    AWSYS   GLNCODE
    GLOO1     10
    GLOO2     20
    (without GLOO3).
now in your message mapping do the following mapping:
                              Contant[GLOO1]
                                   |
                                   |(then)
    AWSYS-------------> equals---->if----------------->Value Mapping---->GLNCODE
                        |          |(else)
                        |          |
    Constant[GLOO3]-----|        AWSYS
