How or can I edit the genre field to get my songs into the genre I want?

I have all of my songs organized by Genre and ITUNES seems to default to whatever the album information genre is. To use ITUNES and be able to find and play my music I need to change (edit the genre field to reflect my genre classifications
I keep all music on an external drive and regardless of the albums genre classification have changed the genre to my classification. When I open ITUNES and it loads my music it changes the genre to the (I believe) the album's default and I cannot play my songs in the cjosen genre.

You should be able to edit the Genre field by choosing "Get Info" for the specific songs. You should be able to select a group, Get Info, and change the genre for the entire group.
This is using iTunes to accomplish the task, so the change should persist.
Reading similar article list, it was also suggested to turn off iCloud and/or iTunes match, which would lock the info to the iTunes master information.

Getting a Song into the Right Key?

I'm trying to use GarageBand as an accompanying "band" for improvisation practice for myself and my students. I can't seem to figure out how to get a tune using only GB loops into the exact key I want. For example, I set the song to E major (and that shows as the master track), and put together some loops for a really nice track, but realized that it ended up being in G major (E natural minor).
Any way to make sure any loops only are in that exact key, or to get them to transpose to that key? I'm sure I'm missing something simple.

The simple solution, but it may not sound to good, is to simply to change the region pitch parameter, located in the editors, until you hit the correct key.
HOWEVER, for audio loops, this ain't a gonna sound too good. My experience is that the loop engine sounds much better at transposition than simple rate conversion in the editor, assuming the use different technologies (the loop engine, same as in SoundTrack or Logic, being the one that transposes everything to the project key).
You could get really tricky: copy all the loops you want to a new folder. Download and launch the Apple Loop Utility. Calculate what keys you need for each loop, set this in the utility and save. You've now just changed the 'native' key for a loop and GB will transpose it differently.
For example if a loop was in C, and you've sinced moved your song up to the key of E, the loop is now a major third too high, so set the loops key (in the ALU) to G#/Ab. You can then of course in GB add this loop to your library.
In the long run, you need loops that match your chord progressions - there's no substitute for that.
AND it's best to always start out your song in the correct key. Susbsequent key changes then work better, since every track moves in sync.

To use a song in GarageBand on your iPad, sync it from a computer using iTunes to the iPad, so the song will be in the Music.app. All songs in the Music.appp can be added to a GarageBand project as loops, using the Loop Browser.

Earlier it is possible to change the User ID field.

If this BP is used somewhere else I mean in some transaction/CRMD_ORDER/Support message,so it might be not possible to change this now....becuase the log will become incosistent.
for e.g. if in ticket XXXX i have been assigned as reporter as...BP no 10
Later you are assigning this to no 10 to some other person or ID ....
Then the log of CRMD_ORDER or ticket will become inconsistent because the BP is now assigned to a different person who never worked on the same.
Actualy i have faced this query during one implementation that why we are able to change the UserID of existing BP even if it is used in some transaction/message.
Might be this is a new correction in the recent release.

How can I get an mp3 into the music section on iPad without using a computer?

The situation is this: I have no access to a computer. The iPad is all that I have to use. So I have never synced it to iTunes or anything.
I am trying to make a video using the movie making app Pinnacle Studio (iMovie doesn't do enough for what I want) and when it comes to choosing audio files, it shows what's stored in the music library of my iPad.
But here is the problem. The audio is a track I have sent to my own email address as mp3. I want to be able to save it from email into my music folder so that it can then be imported into Pinnacle Studio. But when I click on the mp3 in the email it gives me only options to open it in iMovie or Dropbox. How can I get to use this piece of audio when I can't access a computer? Thanks a lot for any help.

If you don't have iTunes you will need to buy the song from the iTunes store and download it that way. If it is a custom track you may be out of luck. The only way to get a song on your device without iTunes involves jailbreaking it.
iOS is set up to prevent people from emailing each other songs, videos, movies, books, etc. This is how Apple got their contracts with the content providers by promising that they would do what ever it takes to prevent people from sharing content that they didn't pay for.

What I did was to put in the same name for Album Artist in every track. That seemed to do the trick (previously all those fields were empty). It seems like a lot of work for a simple thing.
iTunes knows (or should know) that these tracks were imported from one CD. So why is it relying on incomplete data from the gracenote database?

If you purchased all of the songs through itunes store, please follow these steps:
1. Open up Itunes and Click on Itunes Store
2. Once you're in the Itunes Store look to right side of the screen and you should see the word "purchased". Click purchased and you'll be sent to a purchase screen.
3. Click on "All Songs" and then it will show all the songs you've downloaded. From there you just hit the button that looks like a cloud with an arrow on it, and it will download all the songs all over again.

A reset should help: Tap and hold the Home button and the On/Off button at the same time for approximately 10-15 seconds, until the Apple logo reappears. When the logo appears, release both buttons and await restart.

Sounds like a hardware issue.
Did you buy the system from Apple? If so how recent is recent? If it is new you have 14 days to return it, not sure what the situation is with refurb systems. If it is over 14 days you should still have warranty support make an appointment at an Apple Store or contact Apple support.
If you bought it from someone other then Apple you will need to contact them.

I am able to 'create a new version from original' but when I try to export the original, I only get a .jpg with the XMP file. The original is obviously there but why can't I access it please?

In Aperture 3 when I right click on an image I am able to 'create new version from original' which suggests that the original is there. When I try to export the original I only get a .jpg with the XMP file. These particular images are from 2010, has the RAW file become disconnected somehow? Sorry leonie, 'Use RAW as Original' is not an option for the image shot with the Canon.
Then your Import settings must have been different, when you imported the Canon photos.
You can check, if there is still a hidden raw file somewhere. If the image has been imported as a pair, you should see the "J" badge in Browser and Viewer, if you enable badge overlays. This indicates a pair, with the jpeg as original.
Select one of those images, and then relocate the original files "File > Relocate original" to a folder, where you can inspect it. Use "File > Show in Finder" after ward. Look, don't touch .
Then put it back, using "File > Consolidate".
Do you see your raw files in the folder, or is only a jpeg there?
