How print ADDRESSbook simple list? Everything prints scewd right &too long

I'd liike to print out a simple list of names, phone, addresses from my mac AddressBook. Can't I design the layout? Prints first left 1/3 column jjust phone number, center column just name, and all the other info squeezed at the riight margin with several fields that take up space verticle so I can only print sometiimes maybe 4-6 names a page. If i had a lot of notes in the person's 'NOTES' section of their AddressBook page, it will print out everything, even a couple pages. How not print thhat? I want a simple abbbreviated, short list to carry with at least 10-14 names, address,phone,email, etc on each page.
I'mm sure the annswer is around here somewhere, iif only i knew where.

Are you saying that you see the list correctly but it is printing in a vertical format albeit somewhat skewed?
I'm not an expert with printing the Address Book in "list" form but have you tried creating a PDF first and then printing that? You do know that you can select/deselect what you wish to include in the list from the "attributes" pane?
My method for printing a list is this:
1. Open Address Book
2. Select in the "Names" column the names that I wish to print a list of.
3. File Menu>Print
4. Select/deselect addresses/email etc. from the attributes pane that you do not wish to include in
the list.
5. Select other features I want such as Font size (regular/large) from the pop up.
6. Select Print (or if that does not work select Save as PDF and then print that).
post back if this doesn't help and try to explain what you are seeing exactly.

You can export your bookmarks to an HTML file by going to Bookmarks > Organize Bookmarks. From that window select Import/Export and then Export HTML...

HP Officejet Pro 8600 Plus, printing from web cuts everything off on right side

I am having a problem with my HP Officejet Pro 8600 Plus cutting of everything ont he right-hand side of my pages when i print anything from the internet.
I am currently using Windows 7 and I am printing from Firefox.
I use Gmail and anything I print from there does the same thing. I see on several other posts here that they tell people to go to the File menu and choose preferences, but when printing from Gmail, I do not see anywhere that has a drop-down File menu to choose from. I also see several people saying to choose landscape orientation to print, however it still cuts off the right side when I choose the landscape option.
When I print from Gmail I am just hitting the printer icon on the upper right corner of the email itself (when you put your mouse over the icon it says "print all"), or I click on the drop-down menu under that icon and choose "print".
When I am trying to print some web pages, I can hit the download arrow to the right of the google search box and then print the downloaded page instead. This usually corrects the problem, but sometimes when I try to download a page, it says there is nothing to download.
Any help you can offer would be greatly appreciated!!

Since the issue only occurs when you print from Firefox, I feel it would be most beneficial if you reach out to Mozilla.
You might first consider resetting Firefox print settings; Fix printing problems in Firefox.

i video taped a skit my kids did at summer camp, and it is too long to email or SMS. How can you sync it and send as attachment?

You can't send it. You can crop it via the Photos app or upload it on Youtube and send the link.

You don't e-mail them. You upload them somewhere. You can try getting a youtube account (you can set the videos to private or unlisted, so the general 'anybody' can't see them without you sharing the link.
You could also upload them to a service like dropbox or the such and then the other party can download them

I don't know what you problem is because Action palette has a scroll bar. So I thought I would test the Action Palette's scroll bar. I move my Action palette int my main Photoshop window and started to expand all the loaded actions sets fullty so all the action steps setting would be visible. I expanded quite a few action set then the Action Palette stopped working. Could not get it to do any thing. Nor even minimize. I then tried to close Photoshop CC 2014. Photoshop CC 2014 closed so I started Photoshop CC 2014 and it started fine. However the actions palette was not visible. So I used menu windows>Action. The Action Palette pop open empty then Photoshop CC 2014 crashed. My first Photoshop crash. Recovering my Photoshop Preference "Actions Palette.psp" file from backup gets Photoshop functioning again however the Action Palette diffidently has a problem which is easy to demonstrate. I have reported the problem to Adobe.
IMO you should organize actions into actions sets and only expand a set(s) when your using actions in the set(s). You should not have a problem then. I never knew the Actions palette had a size limit that can crash Photoshop... now I do....

Ipad Air restore off Icloud backup. How do I know if my apps are taking too long in the "waitting" part of the reboot?

For some reason my Ipad Air decided it wanted to create used space on it's hard-drive today. It suddenly went from using 7GB to 11.5 GB. I couldn't find the solution so I decided to restore my Ipad from a backup last Thursday. Now all my apps appear but it is taking forever to download them, it wont change from waiting to downloading?
Suggestions?
My main question is, how long does it take in each process till backup is 100% Complete its downloading around 7GB of storage, when will my apps stop "waiting"

Your camera roll photos - those that you take with the iPad or save from emails and websites - are in your backup.
If you use iCloud for backups, restore from your iCloud backup after you restore the iPad. If you restore with iTunes, restore from that backup after you restore the iPad. You can read more here.

OS X Mountain Lion and OS X Lion systems will have the necessary printing software already installed, or will automatically download and install software when the printer is connected or configured. Do not install software that came with the printer as it may be out of date, and do not connect the printer to your Mac yet. Try to delete the print queue under Print & Fax / Print & Scan then manually add a print queue.

Problem in Printing the ALV list

Hi,
I have one problem with printing the ALV list. While printing the ALV list(thro Print Icon on application Tool bar) ,Fist page of my print out contains some other inforamtion.
inforamtions included two tables
first table contains Sort Criteria, Ascdg, Descnd, Subtotal columns.
And second table contains Data statistics , number of
columns.
But from Second page onwards , my alv list printed correctly .
How can i avoid the First page inforamtion and
what is the Reason of coming like this?

I assume you are using function module Reuse_alv_grid_display or reuse_alv_list_display for ALV.
If this is the case, there is a parameter called IS_PRINT that you need to supply while calling the function module.
you can for exapmle declare
data:
printstruc type SLIS_PRINT_ALV.
printstruc-NO_PRINT_LISTINFOS = 'X'.
call function 'REUSE_ALV_GRID_DISPLAY'
EXPORTING
IS_PRINT = printstruc
There are many other flags in is_print structures that you can use to manipulate the printing.

How to change the print queue name with Lexmark printer?

Is it at all possible to change the print queue name from Lexmark_3500_4500_Series, to something shorter? I try to link printouts from an old Sun Unix system, thru my iMac to the Lexmark X4580 multifunction printer. However, the Sun/Unix will not accept this long print queue name...

Apologies, I misread. The only way I know of changing the Print Queue Name is by readding the printer.
 > System Preferences > Print & Scan > Add
Choose your printer, make sure you change the print queue name to something different (equates to the Printer Name).
When you need to print, simply select the printer you just added.
Once your happy it works, delete the old printer from the list in Print & Scan.

Printing of song lists results in unreadable mess.

Printing iTunes Jewel Case "Long Playlist" results in jumbled mess with songs printed on top of each other. For years I was able to print without such problems, From what I'm reading and hearing it's a problem that only Apple can fix. Come on man! Fix it, waht happend to the great service that Apple use to provide?

First, make a custom print template (Print dialog box->page setup->manage custom sizes). I use 3.5 X 4.5. Then, print the song list using print to pdf. Use the scale option in the page setup dialog box to make it fit your template. Get some Avery 6878 or similar shipping labels. Use MS Word mailing label wizard to print by selecting the Avery template for your label. Drag the pdf into the MS Word template & print. Stick the label on your jewel box.

Contacts (Mountain Lion) birthday list not printing in order

When I try to print a birthday list from contacts it is no longer in chronological order - it is in no logical order at all. I am a teacher and need a list of my students in order of age. Was able to do this before Mountain Lion.

I just found a way to print contacts in ABC order. I signed in to my iCloud account online, then went to Contacts. I selected the contact group I wanted to print on the left page (example Xmas card list). On the right page at the bottom, I clicked on the gear symbol and clicked "select all", then clicked again on "print". When the print window appeared, I saved the file to PDF, just to see if the information was in ABC. It was!
print groups or all.... no choices but at least it's a start until they fix it.

Printing taking too long

Using java print APIs to print some labels and it's taking way too long. Creating the panels and sending them to the printer doesn't take too long, but once the app is finished and it has been sent the printer reads "processing job" for a long time before it prints. I've tried two printers, same results. Even very simple print jobs take a while. one printer was returning "internaloverflow or insufficientmemory" error. The document was only a page or two... ?

What is your dot matrix printer model. You can change its quality to lower value but lower
value or resolution makes printer fast but the output become low.

Artists/albums/songs list too long! Shortcut?

Hi,
I've got so many artists in my iPod's list, it takes me far too long to find songs. Not so bad when you're walking around, but terrible when I'm in the car with the iTrip and I'm trying to find a song!
Is there any way I can break the Artists/Albums/Songs lists down into like.. A-K, L-Z? Or jump to a particular letter faster than 1 line at a time? I have looked in the settings but I can't find anything relevant.
If this isn't possible, maybe it would be a good idea for a future iPod feature?

It isn't about how many tunes - rather the size of the files.
Look at the bottom of the iTunes window when viewing a playlist - it will show you number of tunes, time of playlist and the size of the entire playlist.

I think you have to click on the "Full Administration" button t see the option for "Page Formats"...
Also go to transaction SPAD,
in Devices / Servers tab press Output devices button
Double click on the device type of your printer
Press button Formats
and here you get a list of all formats for your printer
