How profit center node can be change in standard hierarchy

Please help me to know, can we make changes to the node of profit center or of a profit center group after activating both, through KCH5N.

Yes, you can make changes to the nodes of std hierarchy.
Please select your std hierarchy of Profit Center in KCH2. Then you select the Profit Center Group or profit center by pressng F9 after putting the cursor on the same. Now, the screen get three new buttons to deselect, insert at same level and insert at lower level. By utilising these buttons to insert the selected PC or PC group to next node at the same level or lower level. You need to put the curson on the Prroft Center Group and select the button according to the requirement. Once, your work is over, you can save. If you made mistake, you can come out without saving. This functionality of select and insert, is same like drag and drop. One time exercise will make you master in this.

The requirement is to populate the profit center in production order change (Tcode CO02). I know the user exit that can populate profitcenter in CO01 but it's not called in CO02. Ther other user exits that I found are for checking but not for changing
Is there a user exit /BADI that can acheive this requirement?

How many server nodes can you create per instance

Hi,
Very often the bottle neck in a java installation (NW04s) is the heap size. In order to increase the heap you simple create new server nodes.
My question is:
How many server nodes can you create per instance?
Is there an upper limit before you have to create a new dialog instance (with a web dispatcher)?
I can imagine that when you create a new server node you also have to increase the heap and max therad of the dispatcher. Is there any upper limit of the heap size of the dispatcher node ?

Rasmus , I think you laid out a real good scenario for every one to contribute
I may be very late but just updating this forum for benefit of everyone who visits this.
In addition to all the points above one must also consider following things if one decides to add more server nodes to one dispatcher
1.Garbage collection time
2.Dispatcher would keep on sending request to node S2 if it is not completely bad and there by impacting all the servernode so you might end up restartiing the entire cluster.
3,Debugging also becomes diffculy as you are not sure on which server node you are within the cluster.
4.If you have something like F5 which does hear beat monitoring even one server node goes bad F5 will not report anything.
So in my view one server node per dispatcher is an ideal configuration.
Over All Dispatcher does not consume more resouces (Disk Space + CPU + memory ) at the same time it will give you maintenance flexibility.
Nothing is right or wrong ,all these things are based on how your infrastructure set up is.

Hi, I want to know the effects that I could have if I change the standard hierarchy of my Cost Center Group.

You could change your standard hierarchy but after you will have problem with your analyses.
you will not be able to compare yours data. The reports are based one the Standard hierarchy.
But if your can explain the differences to your company ....

             i have value of profit center   17007236. but i need to get the hierarchy above this profit center and their descriptions. previously i have done similar kind of   problem, but i that case i have top level node from which i have extracted bottom level descriptions and profit center values. this can be referred in the below link.

1) Do we have profit center field in SAP CRM Product Master?If yes then in which screen can we see?
2) At the moment we are not using the profit center field in either of the systems(ECC and SAP CRM) in Material, we want to use this then how to go ahead to have this field in CRM.
3) If we add the profit center value in material master in ECC under general and plant data view then how this value will be replicated into SAP CRM , delta load or initial load?
We are using SAP ECC 6.0 and SAP CRM 7.1 systems.

How can I change a standard webservice

What steps are necessary for me to change the SAP webservice from SAP ESR?
I WANT to do this in ABAP.
I know that there are some BADIs and Enhancements spots available . But how does this fit into the whole Wesbservice interface.
For example :
I want to add a new field to the input structure in the WSDL. This field will then have to be mapped to the BAPI and so on. How can do this. have you come across anything like this? How does BADI work in this case.

I want to be able to modify this service.
Add a parameter like DocumentStructure to the input which will let me create a document inside the folder.
I know that there is a proxy class in the backend CL_DMS_DOCUMENTCRTRC1 or something like that which calls the BAPI BAPI_DOCUMENT_CREATE2. This BAPI has the additional fields I am looking to map to.
How can I use BADI to accomplish my goals? how can I change the WSDL interface ?
How is this service tied to a Proxy class in the backend?
Am I getting ahead of myself? Is this do-able or should I start from scratch ( expose my BAPI as a new WS )?

Balancing field "profit center" error can not fixed by define doc split.

Dear all,
I am creating invoice by FB60 and hit error
I open Performance assistant, and follow the instruction that link to "Define Document Splitting Characteristics for General Ledger Accounting".
I made the "Zero balances" as unchecked, save, and then I could post the vendor invoice.
Then, I come back to FB60, try to generate the other invoice and hit the same error.
I open "Define document spilliting ..." again, made Zero balances as checked, then I posted invoices successfully.
But again, when I come back, I still got the same error.
Filling the profit center in first line item couldn't solve the problem.
Please help if you got any ideas about this error.

I made a WAD template using web item 'INFO_FIELD_ITEM'. In data binding, I used the 'Last refresh' of general text elements. As a result, in the web browser I can see the last update date & time. (e.g. 'Last refresh: 2007.01.17 17:34:44') Then our customer want to change the default text "Last refresh" as "Working time".
How can I change this?
I tried to change the text symbols for program SAPLRRSV. But it worked only in Bex Analyzer not in the web.
Our server version is Netweaver 2004s and SP10.

I had the same problem - just wanted to display the values of a variable in an info-field, but not the caption.
I found out, that there's a tag for Info-Field Item called ONLY_VALUES (it's the checkbox under the headers visible checkbox in the properties dialog of the Info-Field Item; in my WAD version, there's no label assigned to this checkbox, so it was not easy to find out what it should be),
You have to set it to 'X' (check it) ; then you get the unformatted value of the variable (no caption anymore).

You have to insert the info-field item between span tags so that you can define your own formatting values.

There's only one disadvantage: If you have chosen a lot of variable values (multiple selection), the variable string gets very long and no line break is performed, because all blanks in the string are replaced by nbsp's. I solved this with a little Java Script, replacing the appropriate nbsp-s with br tags.

How in the HECK can I change my Hard Drive icon??!??!!

I've tried searching these discussion forums for how to do this, but the question has always remained unanswered! Does ANYbody know how to use this? I'd buy applecare but I'm a student and can't afford it. Would somebody please figure out how to make it so that you can paste a new icon on top of the standard icon for 10.3.9? It's driving me crazy that after I copy the icon I want to use for my hard drive that I can't paste it on top.
And I've tried doing a permissions repair in Disk Utility.

That's how other people do it, HVlaar; it's the standard procedure. Works fine for me. Are you logged into an admin account? Have you considered that changing your hard drive icon probably isn't an important thing to do anyway?

How do I/or can I change pb ownership

I just gave my friend my older g4 pb, 15" 166mghz. I had a new hd installed with os 10.4.9. how can I get rid of my user folder and have my friend as the only user... we have created a new user/id but the pb wants to defer back to my user folder...
do I need to do total os install to have only my friend as the sole owner?

I looked over that link, and it does have one pitfall. It is asking a user to use rm command in single user mode, which basically is superuser. This with a typo can have devastating effects such as a complete wipe of a hard drive. Be very careful.
